    I wish cameras could pick up strobe lights better

      Me to, this bar was setup really nice in person.

    These were pretty common in the UK on high-performance police vehicles, such as traffic cars. An illuminated 'police' sign would be occupy the central section.

    I like Xenon strobe lights but not for light-bars. Always felt that light-bars should be sealed beam halogen rotating lights. Those are the best, especially in fog.

    All blue looks sweet, didn't have very many whelen strobes down in south Florida, mostly saw around this Era was jetsonic and I belive street hawk light bars, mostly the strobes were on tow trucks

      Yeah I am a big fan of all blue. There was also some Vectors still around this time, I think FHP was still running some. Most agencies didnt take on all blue till later in the years. If I recall FWC used all blue Edges until they upgraded to Libertys.

      @@ryanp1589 true now I remember seeing the blue vectors on FHP, city of Miami had vectors but in blue and red on there caprice classics, going back I remember metro Dade had aerdynics in the 80's

      @@kenlacey6781 Yeah its really cool to see what has changed over the years. While there is a lot of nice newer technology nothing beats some of the old school lights.

      @@ryanp1589 I was always partial to strobes so the whelen edge was my favorite, I guess from Robocop, there definitely were some unique light bars back in the day, rotators were neat especially the synchronized jetsonic like fhp used on there mustangs, LED's are nice but the shapes seem to be the same versus the old school halogen rotators

      @@kenlacey6781 Aerodynics are probably my favorite. With the edge series being second. I agree there is just something about strobes that you can't replace.

    I have a edge 9000 that I want to customize and add more lights to it. Do you have any advice

    • @ryanp1589
      @ryanp1589  2 роки тому

      It all depends on what your bar already has and what you want to add. Being an Edge series there is good chance your bar already has the wiring to add more modules in. If it doesnt its easy enough to add power supplies/flashers in as Whelen does a good job at making everything plug and play. I suggest checking out elightbars as there is a lot of people can help find the parts you may require.
