    Very good work. I think the QR code works well for replacing the face of those dungeon markers. I'm not quite sure what was there originaly, but I also saw a micro-chip or a circuit board (I see both depending upon how I look at it).
    I always saw a giant Digi-beetle when I looked at the settlements. But, what you got works well too. (on second thought, it works better. Good work).

      Thanks. And yeah, I too saw multiple different things on the original Markers, so I tried to make the new ones absolutely unambiguous, given that now they are clearly seen and aren't just 2D buttons.

    I am so excited to follow this progress! This was one of my all time favorite games growing up. I am curious though, is this going to be a 1:1 remake?

      Not exactly. I'm mostly keeping the original identity of the game, while implementing many Quality of Life changes and additions, adding new digimon, doing the rebalancing, etc. You can read about it in the Community Posts on the Channel. 😀

    I found your channel on accident while trying to search for someone who'd have done a Remake on DW2, so it was a pleasant surprise to see someone doing it. It was one of my favorite games growing up, and I can't wait to see the end result!
    As for a question, are you going to include any kind of changes towards gaining XP in the game? One of my biggest gripes with the game was how much time it took to grind experience on higher levels for Evolutions.

      Hello and welcome aboard.)
      Yes, the EXP mechanics is queued for a massive rebalancing, including tiered EXP Items, as well as EXP Items being much more frequently found in Treasure Chests AND being purchasable in Shops as the game progresses. And on top of it all, DNA Digivolution will now work as a full-fledged Fusion - it will now give the new fused Digimon a portion of a sum of EXP of 2 fusee Digimon, depending on a DNA combo case (I haven't worked out all the details as of yet).
      So overall, the game will see the grind almost eliminated, so that Battles are actually kept as the exciting part of the game and not a chore. Kind of like in Pokemon, but in it's own unique way (5x5 and not 1x1). EXP gained for Battles will be re-balanced too, in addition to introducing new Encounters, both easier and harder, that will give appropriate amounts of EXP to Player's Digimon.
      Something I'm now also considering is DB's Memory Out-of-DigiLine Digimon also gaining EXP after battles, at least a portion of it - again, no details here, it's all at the stage of planning for now.

    The names on the dungeons are based on JP version, or did you choose them yourself? I realy like the variation, having "Domain" for every dungeon was kinda lazy. Also, the QR Code was genius, great idea ;)

      Thanks.) As for the names, I was actually inspired by the Alternative Mod, it's Dungeons are also named in diverse manner. I too originally thought that the Domain names are too boring and uninspiring, so when I saw the names in Alternative, it instantly clicked. BTW, did not know that Japanese version had something like this going, will check it out, thanks for pointing out.

      @@MaskedLongplayer I don't realy know if the JP version has different names, that's why I asked lol there are a lot of cases of games having stuff lost in translation around that timeframe, that got me curious.

    What about make a open world map directory continent to acess dungeons? Would be cool a little change.

      No, that's definitely one of the things that I'm strongly against. This is not an open-world game, it never was. It has a very strongly defined segmented structure, which is one of it's key defining features, and I intend to keep it like that. One of the prime rules I uphold for this project is to keep it's original identity as much as possible. We already have enough remakes that mutilate the original image of the games they are based on by introducing too drastic changes to the original formula. This project is not one of those.

      @@MaskedLongplayer my bad if I said that should be open world. I was just thinking about people would like to see things in 3D like driving the beetle, etc. But, your remake looks amazing, congratz dude.

      @@Neston64 No problem, I may have misunderstood what you meant too. But as far as doing a DB driving section for the Map - well, we already have Dungeons, so it would really just feel like a needless addition for the sake of itself. I think I'll instead focus on making the Dungeon gameplay look much more exciting than it was in the original, that way Players will have enough fun riding through Dungeons anyway.))

    hey uh idunno if it too fast to ask but will you rewrite some of the boss battle later on
    for ex that edgier black wargreymon boss that attack himself for some reason
    for me the lack of hard boss battle kinda kill motivation to train op digimon

      Yes, the whole game will experience re-balancing, with some of the Moves like that nonsensical Blind Attack being completely removed. Also Enemy/Boss Stats will be edited so that Player has a real incentive to train Digimon to LV 50-60, especially now that the Level Cap has gone...))
