- When you think “Fallout”, there are probably a few images that appear in your head. Big Iron, Liberty Prime, all the different ways to torment Mama Murphy, Dogmeat, the list goes on and on. But you probably think about nuclear war, too. So what if you could harness the power of a nuclear war, tone it down by like 99%, and use it as a weapon? Can You Beat Fallout New Vegas With Only A Fat Man?

Can You Beat Fallout New Vegas With Only A Fat Man? (in text form)
After giving myself a callback name to a simpler time, I began making my character. I had some great ideas for what he should look like but things kinda got out of hand and somehow I created the a 4th generation inbred monstrosity coming from the Paul x Paulina bloodline. As for SPECIAL points, the Fat Man is an explosives weapon if you can believe that, which makes the build based around Perception. However, something we’ve never really experienced before in a run is the Strength requirement which greatly complicates things. You can use any weapon regardless of your strength, it’s just not gonna be a great experience. Strength of 8 eats up a good amount of points. I put the rest in Intelligence for obvious reasons and Luck because Fat Men are not cheap and neither are the things they fire from themselves.
Prior to selecting my Skills, I played around with an idea, a first of its kind idea. What if I was Doc Mitchell? I almost sorta look like him, or maybe his brother who was dropped by our family’s least favorite uncle shortly after I was born. I sat in his seat to see how it feels to be him. I wanted to know what happens if you never do the interview. I’ll tell you now this went off the rails faster than most things do, except for the Wii Sports video. That was a cluster of an idea that surpassed what even I thought was possible. I eventually sped up the game time by 1,000,000%. I can’t be bothered to do the math on this, but if my math is correct, something like 3,000 in-game days are passing every hour. Don’t think for an instant that it didn’t destroy the game. It did, quite badly. Setting the time scale back to 1 broke both my legs on a cosmic scale. Which gave me the idea for a jump-only video but it seems that our universe died in that disaster and in this new universe, walking simply isn’t a thing. Doc Mitchell wasn’t moving either. I had to quit the game to fix it.
Onto the Skills after wasting so much time… Skills were Barter because my future is going to be frustrating enough as it is. Medicine to endure the pain of everyday life by numbing my entire body with substances, and Explosives to turn that pain into ways to hurt others.
Traits were Skilled for the same reason as always and Fast Trigger. The Fat Man fires slowly enough as it is, the 20% fire rate bonus is going to vastly outweigh the accuracy penalty. The thing about the Fat Man is that there are 8 of them you can find in New Vegas and the ammo is even more rare. Oddly enough, despite being harder to find in New Vegas than in Fallout 3, they also do significantly less damage. I truly cannot believe it, after all these years, I finally found a flaw in Fallout New Vegas. It probably goes without saying that my first destination was the Strip. Can’t attack anything until I get my arms around a Fat Man and I didn’t want to be limited by only having a few nukes, this means caps out the ass. - Ігри
Fun fact: the "fat man" was almost a real thing. The creator even said "I could make a nuclear grenade if you can find someone stupid enough to throw it"

B) Friendly fire, either from the blast radius or the radiation damage;

Sadly not alot of people have caught on about it yet ive been trying to spread the word. Im roughly his age and have had alchohol problems in my youth its so wierd hearing he's gone
When I first heard about hie passing, I thought it was just the rumors again. Till, I saw way too many people, and some other creators comment about his passing. He helped me keep my head on straight just by listening to his videos, which made me laugh and smile when no one around me could. He will be missed, and I hope if there is an afterlife that he is better off.

I've been rewatching all his videos aswell since finding out. Since finding his channel I come back every few months to rewatch aload.
Still hard to beleive he is gone when I heard I went and checked channel to see update saying he's not dead about a month ago I think it was. So I thought it was a rumour untill reading its comments and it just sunk in.
He will be missed and even though there will be no new content we still have all his amazing content to come back to.

Sell everything you find and use the money to buy infinite mini nukes from the gun runners.
@@ALLMINDmercenarysupportsystem That only works if you have all the DLC. On my previous system, I would get constant savefile corruption if I ran it with the DLC so I had to run it without. Getting a new PC that can handle the DLC for a game that came out over a decade ago solved that problem, and I was surprised to find that turpentine, which had been the bottleneck in Turbo production once the cans looted from buildings ran out because no vendors reliably stocked it, was now available from Old Lady Gibson ten cans at a time, and that it was now almost worthless because I could just take the Implant GRX perk. Once I got the Jury Rigging perk and started cheesing my way to wealth, as usual, I started buying every mini nuke I came across and by the end, I had over 125 of each of the DLC variants and so few of the base game variant that I could count them on my fingers, which was surreal.
It's too realistic that sitting for a thousand days makes your legs numb

13:51 - For anyone who was as curious about this as I was here's a rundown: You can lie to Janet (the woman Jack has a crush on) and get her to run into the artillery and die, or you can kill her before or after Jack describes her. Regardless of what you do, Jack will immediately run from the hanger where he normally is over to the Nellis Workshop where he will lie in bed, presumably for the rest of the game because he's heartbroken by her death. If you convinced Janet to walk into the artillery he'll talk to you like normal, but if you killed her, regardless of whether anyone saw you or not, he'll simply say: "Go to Hell, outsider. Stay away from me." and end the dialogue.
And of course, since this is a game made with a Bethesda Engine, it fucks up: If you kill Janet, fast-travel to the hangers, and talk to Jack *before* he gets to the workshop, he'll act like nothing's wrong and you can talk to him normally. However, this only works once, as if you try to talk to him again immediately after he'll say the above line without even triggering the dialogue zoom and whatnot.

You can’t tell a good portion of his jokes are real. Not to sound terribly negative, but he was always straight up with the community about his alcoholism; there are jokes you can tell he’s pulling out of his ass but on some occasions he’s as blunt as he is with his vodka jokes
I've gotten so used to Paul saying "and I did not beat x with only x" that it was unexpected that he was able to pull this off.

I had this "infinite load" once, and i was able to fix that, just start a new game, and soon doc mitchel start talk to you, press esc and load your save that have this problem. It works fine with me and saved me more than one time. Hope i helped someone

I appreciate that you call out all the bugs, save corruption, and other nonsense that you had to go through. You could have easily just ignored it when making the video and writing the script and no one would have even known something happened. Just editing the two runs together. But instead, you took the time to write the fuck ups into the script and make more work for yourself.
