I never miss a Kris Prather video. Also, your shot-by-shot commentary explaining exactly what you're seeing and thinking, is just second to none. So educational and easy to understand.
Just by the way, my all-time favourite bowlers to WATCH are yourself and Pete Weber, "poetry in motion" comes to mind. Could watch the two of you bowl all day long. 😀

Appreciate Shark’s honesty on where it really fits into his arsenal(s). Plus the tip should help a ton of people too.
Nova, imo, is one of the top 3/5 hybrids on the domestic market right now and I know a lot of people are psyched for the Super Nova.

Glad to know that even PBA Champion Kris Prather misses spares every once in a while. Makes me feel better about my sub par spare game. And for a spare ball like that I would pay 2 grand

Threw this ball at a demo last weekend. I have below average speed and average revs, and can rarely play inside of 10-11. Most strong solids hook immediately for me and never move off the spot down lane. This ball grabbed early, but still retained energy down lane. Allowed me to play inside in the oil for once and it was really fun. Can't wait for it to arrive! Compared it to the RST-X3, which was also strong but more angular and just left too many 9 pins for me.

This is what a ball review should look like! I see too many that are just HUGE sales jobs without really educating potential buyers the various ways to make adjustments. Kris is flat out amazing… must be a requirement to be a house member.

Thanks for the review. I had a Storm Vivid years ago. I've had two balls crack on me: Vivid and IQ Tour 30. The Super Nova looks to me to be about as close to the Vivid that Storm's come out with. I think I'm going to pick one of these up. It would become one of the strongest balls in my bag.

4:22 "Seems a little bit too smooth, like it's not going to wanna hook in all the urethane that everyone throws."
Can you expand on this comment please?
Why does an dull early solid struggle in oil and urethane carrydown and need the higher friction of short and medium patterns?
What type of resin ball is best to handle lower friction conditions or urethane carrydown?
Also: I would spend twice as much as the cost of a top of the line resin ball on a spare ball that I knew could make any spare no matter what!

Depends, is it only single and maybe double pin spares? If so I'd pay 200 at minimum. Now if we're talking ANY spare (splits, washout, 9 pins) then I'd pay nothing cause that ball will certainly be banned in all sanctioned events and leagues
