Like this video a lot and like the idea of just one cable. Just a (stupid) question: My bike had dual cable. What to do with the second one? Just discard it?
Failed to mention to sand or grind the bars down for the grips to fit over them. Went three hours trying to get the single cable assembly and grip on bars I ordered from you guys. Powder coating makes it difficult to fit.
I have a question when installing my throttle cables do they go over my forks or underneath my forks because I took it to a shop and I've noticed when they installed my throttle cables on my bike that when I turn all the way to the right my throttle sticks completely it doesn't go back and forth and I believe that's because my throttle cables are actually maybe a half inch too short but they also have them going underneath the forks where originally they were over the forks
Hey I had a question about my vt1100 cutting out at around 3/4 throttle. It does it in 2,3 and 4. I've been thru the carbs, cleaned and it's been Dyna jetted on third step of needle. I redid fuel system to new hose and in line filter only. Has all for new plugs. I also repaired the problematic wiring and connectors notorious to the Honda. Other than the small power supply wire to the coil. I'm getting stumped as to where to go next. I'm starting to lean towards better wiring for coil system and better coils. Any input to help me figure this out would be greatly appreciated. Other than that issue the bike is a beast.
scott westaway these are designed specifically for honda shadows. Your bar diameter might be different and also where the cable threads into the single cable housing could be a different thread pitch and wont work.
Why would person want to change to a single cable throttle? What are the perks/ benefits? I apologies i have a very very little background with bikes and super green
The second cable is made to pull the throttle back shut if it were to stick or bind.... possibly wide open? It eliminates the possibility of a stuck or sticky throttle. Relying on just a throttle return spring is not smart in my honest opinion. If you clean and lubricate your cable religiously you will probably be alright. It's like the question to ride with or without protective gear. How safe do you want to be?
Rode with it for 30 minutes and both Allen bolts rattled out. Lost one in traffic. What would it take for someone to make one with inserts from the top side ? Somebody tell me why that’s not possible. Cause 130 dollars on Amazon has me hot. Do I really gotta lock tight brand new bolts? What the fuck
Me again. I don't have that type of setup. My throttle cable goes in the handle bars, comes out the middle then goes to the carburetor. Any input on this type?
Okay. Bought my first shadow off fb market. It’s half chopped. Half Indian half shadow he has one Indian grip and a stock grip on the throttle. Just trying to get some simple matching sets
I'm looking to swap my carb so will need to change from 2 cable to 1 cable. However the throttle has some buttons attached so like to keep the original throttle. Will this 2 way throttle still work fine with 1 cable attached?
Have to admit. The throttle housing is hideous as ahh hell. I’m just nervous to dive into the work needed to re wire a kill switch and start button. They look so clean too But I’m determined to do just that. Freak yeah baby
TJBRUTALCUSTOMS does that mean you could run the 600 with just the pull cable with the stock setup? I know yours looks a lot cleaner, but just wondering.

Its not a stupid question at all, this video only shows half of the process.
Love this throttle assembly. Any plans for making it for 7/8" handlebars?
Wait, so does the start button and kill switch cluster go back on over that or did you do something else after? Just wondering.
TJBRUTALCUSTOMS cant wait!!!
Where did you relocate the start & killswitch?

I was wondering about this to mine won’t fit my 1inch bars
Hell yeah mine just came in the mail today
Thanks for the helpful videos! These are great, what handle bars are those?

Nice! Which throttle tube are you using for those grips?
I would love to know this as it seems this does not work with the stock throttle sleeve nor does it come with a sleeve

Can you do a single cable on the OEM throttle housing? Obviously you would have to plug the second throttle cable whole.
@@TJBRUTALCUSTOMS How do you suggest closing the second throttle cable hole?
@@kevinmartin2096just did this to mine after getting bogus Amazon cables. A foam ear plug should do the trick.
How do you start the bike if no kill switch are present?
Bridge it out to the ignition, that's what I did. That way the key then acts as a kill switch
Will this throttle assembly work with Yamaha Vstar 650? If not, where can I find one?
Why won't it work with a xvs650? It is dual throttle also so surely works the same way? Thanks

Just looks better. That's it, really.

Hey, my housing has two throttle cables going into the housing. Do I just connect 1 of the 2 cables to the new single cable housing?
Yes. But make sure it is the top cable
Does this assembly include the single cable throttle tube?
I need one for my vamaha vstar. do they work as good
Will this work on a 96 Honda Shadow vt1100c. Or for only one size bar?
Cool, now how do i do the bottom half the connects to the carb.
We'll definitely make a video for that after the one we make teaching people how to wipe their butts!
@@TJBRUTALCUSTOMS weird
Amazing! What happens with the turn light buttons?
TJBRUTALCUSTOMS hahahaha i did a mistake man! Thanks

I love the metal endings to your vids haha
are those harley levers?

Yes, why go with single throttle that dual cable?
Do I have to relocate the kill switch and start button ?
No, but the whole point of this is to clean up the bars and create a more minimal look.
Okay. Bought my first shadow off fb market. It’s half chopped. Half Indian half shadow he has one Indian grip and a stock grip on the throttle. Just trying to get some simple matching sets
Do you just pull the other cable off?
TJBRUTALCUSTOMS I have an 81 CB900c can I ditch the push cable as well?

It should be fine
Awesome thanks for the response man
And you just take the return cable off?
No, you donate it to the recycler. Lol!
Have you made one that will work on the vt1100 yet
I am rocking one on my spirit 1100. As long as your bars are 1" it will be fine

👍
Is there suppose to be a pin that secures the throttle housing so that Over time it doesn’t start to spin?
What throttle tube did you use with this setup ?
Sweet.
But now there's no start or Killswitch buttons.
Now what about a vlx600 with two throttle cables
TJBRUTALCUSTOMS does that mean you could run the 600 with just the pull cable with the stock setup? I know yours looks a lot cleaner, but just wondering.
TJBRUTALCUSTOMS great thanks!
If that's the case, then...where do you put the kill switch and starter button, no place for it after that "bulk" removal.
Now my bike won’t shut off, but it looks sick!
7/8 ??
