Every time I think about Super Bowl XXIII I think about the last season (1988-1989) of Miami Vice, a show that was still airing and filming episodes around the time this particular Super Bowl was played. And I also think about how 49ers fans will never see a decade like the 80s again as far as success for their franchise goes. Free agency, the salary cap, and the fact that players like Joe Montana and Jerry Rice and a coach like Bill Walsh don't grow on trees 🌳🌴,guarantees that the 49ers will NEVER have a decade like the 80s ever again.
bro. Montana always will be #1 over Brady. Yes it was different era, but Brady has 7 super bowl all because the NFL made the rules easy and protect him too.
I read somewhere that Joe Montana wore the same jersey he wore when the 49ers won Super Bowl XIX four years earlier. Take a look at the stripes on his sleeves. They're a little different than his teammates jerseys.
Hilarious that the 49er's used to be a model organization, and now are the new 70's Vikings, 80's Broncos and 90's Bills. Happy to see America's worst run cities get what they deserve, I went to San Francisco in the 80's and 90's and fell in love, went last year and was horrified by what it's citizens turned it to, I hope they never win again!
@@ericradford2142 Ravens come to mind, they consistently invent things, when everyone was passing they chose to go with an offense that is unique... They draft well, well coached, players are tough... Everything the Bay area isn't..
So wonderful that the great Lon Simmons finally got to broadcast a Super Bowl for the 49ers!
Timeless classic

Special memories of a great coach!
Great game.
Another awesome Montana comeback.

@@scottfarmer8758 You're right. I think his wife packed it as a surprise for him since he had success wearing it in SB XIX.
Thanks ❤
