One of the main reasons why Purple have their own sound is that the five of them had so many different musical influences, classic, swing, jazz, folk, rock, blues, pop. Roger Glover is often doing what you Americans say: the walking base and he's so bloody good at doing that.
Purple! Great song! Great reaction! This is a really good piece as a jam but every note from every instrument is precise, not just shredding. Really talented musicians!
Life is amazing when you open your mind to all genres if music. 73 yo from motown. Love big band, motown , rock classical, jazz, blues, r&b, rap. There is something for everyone. Just open your mind and let your heart fill.
There's no way you could not like this one. Jon Lord is playing the Hammond organ. Besides Hammonds reproducing many instruments sounds with its double keyboards. It also has 25 foot pedals that add to the bass sound. Not that Rodger Glover needs any help. Lol My mom had a Hammond Oregon. I used to sneak by when she wasn't home just to play on it. I thought she would have flipped out if she knew what her organ was actually capable of.lol But I was younger then. Now in my 70s I realize she likely was more aware than I gave her credit since she was 20 years younger than I am now. Lol 🤠🐂
Stan. Dude. First time watching your channel. You enjoyed that I could see. Now take it to the next level, Same track from the live album Made in Japan. Longer, better solo's. Deep Purple Mk II (Blackmore-Guitar, Gillan- Vocals, Lord-Keyboards, Glover-Bass and Paice (the chief) drums. IMO are the quintessential Rock Band.
Jon Lord is genius on Keys. 2nd best in my book. Jordan Ruddess is my no. 1. My 3rd choice would be Rick Wakeman. Then Ray Manzerik and 5th Keith Emerson.
… “Lazy” is an absolute masterpiece!! ... blues rock at its finest!! 🎸🎹🥁 Thank You
Great reaction. Thanks Stan. I still get excited when I hear this. I bought this album when it was first released...way back
The 2024 Dweezil Zappa mix is musically wonderful.

🟣Try going back a little further in their catalogue. The Albom "Fireball" had some great tunes, including the title track.

Machine Head was an awesome album!
For your next Purple reaction, chouse a track from their Made in Japan album.
Maybe Strange kind of Woman.
Listen to the drum fills. Every song.
The brilliant Ian Paice drummin away. Yeah!
Jon Lord was the keyboardist. It was his band.
