- The “Andor” series will explore a new perspective from the Star Wars galaxy, focusing on Cassian Andor’s journey to discover the difference he can make. The series brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. It’s an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero.
Diego Luna returns as Cassian Andor and is joined by cast members Genevieve O’Reilly, Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Denise Gough and Kyle Soller. The executive producers are Kathleen Kennedy, Sanne Wohlenberg, Diego Luna and Michelle Rejwan. Tony Gilroy is the creator and showrunner. - Розваги
We live in a world where a show about Cassian Andor turned out to be better than a show about both Boba Fett and Obi Wan Kenobi combined
I also really liked how serious it was the entire time. The mandalorian lost me a couple times bc of the comedy aspects.
@@blushingfrieza People still love Mandalorian, despite its deficiencies... But it's okay. I also watch it with friends. There's something to it.
But this... Blew me away. I hope the writers strike doesn't affect s2 too much
@@maidros85 it won’t as it’s already been written
I enjoyed all 3 but the Andor storyline was a little hard to follow at first but over time I understood it
Obi wan series was by far my favorite. I’m still working on andor
Two things:
1) This teaser is so well executed. It tells you nothing.
2) The show is so good, Watch it. Then watch it with your friends and loved ones. Then watch it a third time for good measure.
Watch it for a fourth time because it's quality content.
That's exactly what I did, and purely out of desire to relive those wonderful moments and drama.
Kriff. Yes!
How it should be
This is by far the best Star Wars show. Coherent, tense, perfect
Each three episodes are like it’s own movie. Think of it like this. By the end of Season 2, Andor will be a better saga than the entire Skywalker saga, and that’s what Star Wars is built upon. Andor is LEGIT PERFECT!!!😂
The best Star Wars content
BuT iTS boRiNG 😢
The Clone Wars is the best Star Wars show.
Now lets not forget The Clone Wars
Am I the only one who couldn't have cared less when the show was announced and am now sad we have to wait like 2 years for season 2 + finding out the next season is the last one? This is the best Star Wars content we've gotten in years and it's going to be so short lived
Edit: the trailers definitely hyped me up, but I was cautiously optimistic until the show actually premiered.
When it first got announced, I was like: "Really, they're gonna make a show out of that? Just give me the Obi-Wan show already!"
Then I saw this trailer, and I was like: "Ok, this actually looks really f-ing good. Cinematography is dope and the story looks intriguing, but it's time for Obi-Wan rn."
Then I finished Obi-Wan and my excitement for this just went up even higher.
Now I've finished the show and now I can confidentially say that Andor is my favorite Star Wars media of all time. Can't wait for season 2!
I think I'm the only one who was most hyped for this from the start
@@Ewokpilot65 I was absolutely pumped from the start, ever since they announced it lmao

Wait we do I didn’t even notice!
Hi The Lore Master
Isn't palps the Senate?
1:27 the Imperial Senate, that really got me psyched haha. Looks sleeker and refurbished from the Old Republic, finally getting to see more of life under The Empire.
Indeed
This looks a lot closer to everything I loved about Rogue One. Shifting away from the Jedi/Sith spiritualism and focusing on the actual mechanism of the rebellion. I think they found a way to make this project very interesting
Your profile pic made me think there was an eye lash on my phone lol.
Yeah, I think there was pushback against technicalities after the prequel trilogy showed the political side of things. But if done right the technicalities of how the rebellion actually started would be very interesting. I think the lower level the better, as in the more we see of average people. The high level stuff like the senate and emperors and Jedi gets a little stale
Still waiting for star wars level 1313 we yet to get an inside on the underworld. Would be interesting
I kept wiping at my screen because your profile pic
The Rebellion theme will resonant well with people, given the times. Hoping the showrunners steer towards the Rogue One style and dump the campy, crappy Book of Boba Fett vibe
Andor so far is living up to its trailers. That 3-part premiere 🔥
And then the finale... 😶
Didn't know Andor was a thing until two weeks ago. I've now watched it four times, start to finish. It only gets better. Dear god...
Cant wait for S2 and then Rogue One like a finale.
This is the first Star Wars media that seems to capture the gritty, boots-to-the-ground atmosphere of Rogue One again. I absolutely love it. Can’t wait.
Well said mate, totally agree.
Shame Rogue One was tuned down from what it was supposed to be.
That’s what I loved about Rogue One - it was a war movie - the rebellion for everyone else. No super powers. Just cost and sacrifice and grit.
@@kuryaku5906 even if it was tuned down (I assume you mean less intense?) It still is hands down the best star wars movie ever made.

😢
You can thank Rogue One writer Tony Gilroy for giving us this masterpiece.
The series nobody asked for, yet manages to catch our attention on a great scale. The stakes that I feel in this trailer really have me beckoning for more.
Hopefully no more desert planets. We have a massive galaxy to explore... I like the variety in this trailer.
Not me I had faith in this serie since its announcement ^^
I don't know about that....but it looks better than Boba Fett. ( Still a fan of The Book of boba Fett though )
Every trailer for Disney Star Wars looks good. How can you possibly fall for this again?
Seems nobody asked for StarWars in 1977 either, and look what we've got. Tons of awesomeness.
I feel like we'll definitely be seeing a lot more of the inner workings of both the Rebellion and the Empire in this series, seeing both sides of the situation. And the fact that we'll be seeing Coruscant again in live action is amazing! It's been a little under 20 years since we've seen Coruscant in live action.
Minus Rogue One this is the only live action to actually touch on events between ROTS and ANH, we need way more of this, during the rule of the empire.
Edit: and as of tomorrow Kenobi as well
Aren’t we gonna see it the Kenobi series ?

Didn’t have much expectations at first for Andor but after this trailer I’m actually hyped for it. I love seeing the different points of views throughout the galaxy, including those of just average ordinary people. Also, about time we see coruscant during the reign of the empire. With it being such a staple planet during the prequels and clone wars, it just seemed odd we’ve never seen it since the fall of the republic.
Also we'll see Bracca potentially.

If the empire is anything like the old republic sith empire, they likely have their own planets with strong public support and ties to the dark side.

I didn't realize that we would be seeing quite this much of Mon Mothma in this series. The suggestion that we will spend time with her, trying to fight the good fight in the Senate, while simultaneously working behind the scenes to build the rebellion - while Andor is the guy in the field getting his hands dirty - has me even more excited for this show.
Well said

I'm proud to say that I was excited for Andor the day it was announced, I was blown away by this trailer, and the show completely lived up to my expectations. Just an A+ experience the whole way.
Sometimes i get back here just to remember how perfect trailers should look like...
Just hearing Mon Mothma say "Their watching me now" just goes to show that you don't need Sith with lightsabers to instill fear. Just the fact that a person being followed and watched in the Star Wars Galaxy is on another level. We can finally see the political side of things, with how Palpatine manipulates the system to prove he's right about the Jedi, and how those who don't agree with his new ideas are to be followed and possibly assassinated. I just hope we can see more of the political side of things just like Game of Thrones.
Funny you mention GOT, Qyburn is an Imperial

Despite not being one of the biggest character with a show, this could easily be one of the best, hopefully it focuses on good story and dialogue more then hectic mayhem

Not to be dramatic, but this show is one of the best shows I have ever seen. I am including GOT, whose earlier seasons were pure genius. This show has me in a chokehold.
This was an exquisite trailer, not just from a Star Wars perspective but just a marketing perspective. The choice of music, the shots, the pacing, the ability of the trailer to convey the mood and general theme of the story without giving away an ounce of the premise of plot-this is the archetype of what every cinematic trailer should be.

Love that this series is taking place while the empire is phasing out the clone troopers. You see the clone troopers in one of the scenes yet you know only 5 years later the clone troopers will be phased out completely. So the series will more than likely have both clone troopers and storm troopers together and as the series progresses we may start seeing clone troopers less as they are being silently phased out.
clones were largely replaced by 14 bby in the stormtrooper corps. this movie is set 9 years later (5 bby) and at that point and time fett template clones were practically nonexistent in frontline service across all branches of the imperial military.

The main reason this looks so cinematic is that this show isn't relying primarily on creating landscapes and environments on the V-stage technology.
But instead primarily actually shooting on REAL locations with REAL background scenery.
too bad they didnt seem to prop any alien
The prequels had the best landscapes and environments imo even though their tech wasn't completely on point at times. What's really awful with the new Star Wars series is that the aliens look completely off and fake compared to episode 1-3. I heavily dislike the use of props instead of CGI and their cameras are way too precise for this, at least this war bearable in the original trilogy because the lighting and image quality matched the the props and actors.
I'm also pretty sure that at least half of the scenes in the teaser have digital backgrounds and not real life scenery directly, same as Mandalorian which has next to 0 real background scenery used.
I worked in the sound department on this last year and we shot it on location a few miles from Pinewood; the set (I'm still not sure what planet it was in the narrative but 1:32 shows it pretty well) was like stepping into a childhood dream!

It seems from this trailer that Disney is venturing out into the vastness of the Star Wars Galaxy for the first time. Yes but what about the droid attack on the wookies?
Or it is a way to destroy the fans' hope of a good movie or tv-series. Looking at the newest star wars movies 👀
@@NiteSaiya Oh, shut up!
Hands down the greatest Star Wars series and possibly greatest tv show I have ever seen
That music... Just WOW! The fact that it starts so simple with three notes, on that alarm "bell", which then forms the backbone of the whole theme, its simply amazing! Goosebumbs already! :D
@Regdu Geht thank the force. I'm so sick of desert planets. They're full of sand.
So much Star Wars hype this week!!!
@@lewismckenzie236 dont
@@lewismckenzie236 Im still hyped regardless.
Star Wars cinema & streaming content is stuck. It's never going to let me escape the Skywalker era.
Not really...
@@lewismckenzie236 what's in the leaks?
This show just feels real. Movements are never just about a few "special" people, they're about everyone doing their part. That's what this feels like, and boy is it timely.
Timely is exactly right. Hopefully the series is still as enthralling as it appears to be
It's really no more timely than the original Star Wars films
I don’t get how this looks EPIC and BobaFett series looked low budget cheap. ALL of star wars should have this type of quality production for sure
comeback here again because this is the best star wars series ever
I wasn’t all that excited for this show but seeing how beautiful it is and how it looks like we’re getting a much more cinematic and lore filled story I’m pretty excited!
It's funny, because I've heard that a lot, like, "Who asked for an Andor show?" And I'm like, it's set at the start of the Rebellion, will probably have great cameos from Bail Organa, Mon Mothma, Vader, Palpatine, and I liked Andor in Rogue One. Plus, you see the "spy/intelligence" side of the Alliance. I'm all for that.
@@rienjen Yep, and I’ve heard it’s being made by the movie team, or at least part of it, which is probably why it looks so pretty. Idk I’m all for it lol
@@rienjen I'm all for the political/lore filled side of Star Wars man, PLUS, more Coruscant. Absolutely hyped for this.
This trailer gave me so many chills. Incredible to see the senate building, clones, Mon Mothma; so many familiar things and yet so many new and fresh environments/cultures/moments to enjoy. This show is a sleeping giant
Yep. The force is with this serie.
cultures? They're just weird places written by nerds
Where did you see clones?
1:20 - They don't look like clones though.
Sorry, saw them now!! 1:30
I think this show is really going to shock us all. I think it will be amazing. Also, Coruscant is going to look incredible with modern-day CGI
The moment I saw this trailer was the moment that I knew Andor was going to be perfect
And what do ya know, it was
BRROO this looks waaay better than what i first thought when they revealed the series, REALLY HYPED!! also the imperial senate scene just straightup goosebumps
finally the empire looks scary again
Looks pretty solid, I really like the idea of following Mon Mothma as she tires to be both a rebel and a senator. Should be some fun political intrigue
Your profile picture made me wipe my screen
Tony Gilroy has experience with that kind of character in the Bourne trilogy with both Nicky and Pam. I can’t wait for this show bc I knew his Bourne writing would shine here
@@peternewbranch9263 sounds fun to me!

I'm so excited for the finale, episode 12! I'm rewatching the trailers ...
The teaser shows so much but it also feels like it doesn't give too much away. Such a good trailer.
"A surprise to be sure but a welcome one."
Yeah. Most trailers just show every character, their backstory, and plot twists
Imperial senate, Coruscant, imperial clones, imperial builders and mechanics, more look into the empire, what else could you want? This looks great!
I dont think they're clones. They're TK troopers since I think this takes place after the bad batch and the clones have been phased out by this point
@@_b_a_g_u_e_t_t_e_3191 it looks exactly like clone armor tho
Are they clonetroopers? Or clone stormtroopers?..
@@LucaBut that doesn't mean anything. They're most likely TK troopers. The armor changes alot so they might have just got new armor. The whole plot of bad batch was the phasing out of the clone troopers and Andor takes place after bad batch so I think its highly unlikely that they're clones
better cameras and coloring….
You had me at Skarsgard. Oh and the production design. And visual effects, action original storyline, Diego Luna, Fiona Shaw, and so on.
Great trailer, seriously.
Disney not promoting this series beyond the trailers leading up to the start of the streaming is baffling to me...
I've been looking forward to this

Great trailer! Doesn’t reveal too much of the plot but shows the main characters and antagonists. I’m super interested!

great trailer! reveals nothing. Uh.
@@tsm688 its a teaser, not official trailer
Bet you it has to do with Cassian Andor and the rebellion dummy
Another liberal socialist star wars movie for E;R to disect.
This was the series I was most excited about from the day it was announced. I love seeing anything related to the Empire especially at their beginnings!
THIS looks awesome! Another war drama with hopefully a lot of personal character stuff? Yes please! I am always a fan of smaller personal stories, especially once that deal with regular people in large situations. I am tremendously excited!
completely agee! since both tbobf and kenobi felt so.. superficial? like not authentic enough!
@@moondustberries8171 How was it superficial to you?
@@wyatttomlinson3475 to me it felt like they were just trying to take a character people liked, and make a show about them. and that was 100% the crux behind the decision. like they started from that standpoint, and then sort of meandered into a story from there, adding enough nostalgia and references to make it enjoyable for fans.
This show feels like the other way around - starting with a good idea for a story, not a surefire financial success due to the already-existing popularity of a character.
@zuygj bnsv bot
That transition from him being a child soldier fighting the Republic as part of the CIS to him as part of the Alliance fighting the Empire was so good. I am hoping this expands on going from fighting one war to fighting a new one is such a short time.
Wait he fought for the CIS? I had no idea!
What, because of the Phase 2 amor, we see? That scene could also take place during the very early days of Imperial subjugation, before they switched to the stormtrooper armor we all know.
Right. So let's see
Who would have ever thought that a glimpse of the senate on Coruscant could be so exciting?!
What about the clone troopers, show at 1:30 😝
This show better not be an L, too much fan service and not enough quality🤥🥱🤥
Don't forget about the return of Clone Troopers! I honestly wasn't excited for this at all, but it's surpassing my expectations so far!

Watching this trailer after the season is all finally released. So great. I didn't think I'd be able to like it even more than I did before ...
I liked Rogue One a lot! And Cassian was a great character that could have a really interesting background. I’m real excited for Andor.
Yea rogue doesn’t get the credit it deserved.
💯
I didn’t like rogue one, cassian was great if only jynn Erso wasn’t the main character
@@ehsancandrive I liked the movie but agreed, she would've served as a side character better
Rogue One is by far my favorite of the new movies. It held true to the feel and style of the original trilogy but let us see what special effects could never dream of doing in 1977.
I love when Star Wars focuses on characters who are not force sensitive something that I think we should see more of
Not me either. I wanna see Jedi, Sith, lightsabers, Force powers, fights, fights and more fights! The more lightsabers, the better! 😎
@@MegaLynx182 Haven't seen any good star wars main line film since 2005.
I’d much rather see Jedi and sith and more main characters the only new non fore sensitive characters they should care abt are mando and boba but that’s it yeah this show looks like it has potential but could you imagine if it was a plagues and palpitine show or a Vader series or something about qui gon or something in the prequel era with Jedi and sith with all the things they could make and can make there not picking there best stuff except kenobi that’s gonna be an amazing show and the hype for it is because of sith and Jedi and we get a lightsaber fight what isn’t there to love abt that
