It is not a badasslook. I call it the racoonstyle look or Zorro-masklook. Very distinctive for Airbus, but too bad not all assemblinglines use this unique cockpitlook.
You can really see Gabe enjoying this trip, his face tells his fascination all the time 😊 I like that! awesome video and thanks for taking us with you!
Two of Etihad‘s old A330‘s went to Dresden for a freighter conversion at EFW which is a subsidiary of Airbus. That might explain the french registration, not sure though. But EFW seems to be a pretty interesting company but no one really made a video about them yet. Maybe you could visit them and take a look at an A330 conversion
Really like the new era of investing in/refreshing cabins with a nice aesthetic look, that takes into account things like lightning, lower cabin pressure etc. I know a lot of you are AV Geeks, but don't forget just how much of a chore travel still is to many people. So many airlines could take note & make it more pleasant. Often feel like I'm stepping back in time of some airlines. One of the best thing the Gulf Airlines have done is drive up wider industry expectations imo. More than happy with crappy Ryanair when it's less than 3 hours. But my god long haul is a pain that ought to be eased, especially in economy.
PLEASE have Gabriel fly the China Southern route to Mexico City on the A350, or Mexico City back to China. They take a stop in Tijuana for fuel, but interestingly do not need to do so en route to Mexico City. This flight flies past my house in the mountains east of San Diego every Saturday and I believe Wednesdays. I have only seen it wayyyyyy up in the sky on Saturdays. Makes my day every time.
Etihad do contract 3rd party maintenance. There are always other airline frames at Abu Dhabi. For example LATAM, Qantas A380s, etc, are often present at EY Engineering. Even EK when they are overloaded, will ship A380s to AUH from DXB for attention. Obviously that Nor'n B787s, is still owned by the leasing co. and as one contributor says here Norwegian went semi ''belly-up'', so probably that airframe is being prepared for another customer.
Great vlog Gabriel specifically the A350 -1000 is my second favourite plane after the A340-200/300 so hopefully one I will get to fly on one but for now you are putting us right in there so keep up the great vlogs 😊😊😊😊
Great timing! I'm flying on of their A350s in 2 weeks to Tokyo :) Also, what on earth was that Norwegian 787 doing there? Perhaps heavy maintenance after storage before heading to a new operator?
I'd give just about anything to be Gabriel's travel buddy on a long haul. I want to be shown the tips & tricks to travel efficiently, comfortably and take advantage of all that airports have to offer around the world.
Showing the same footage 3 times of the window blinds opening to show the Norwegian A350 was .. interesting. In konstrat to Emriates 777-300ER who have first class on their products I would have guessed Etihad would do something similar)
Norwegian. You can see it while he checks out the best seat for engine view. Since Norwegian doesn't fly the 787 anymore I guess Etihad took ownership of it and refurbishes it now.
Can you make how to become pilot directly on airbus a350 aircraft? We know how to become pilot on narrow body aircraft but don't know how to become pilot on wide body aircraft? So make video on this topic 🙏🏻😁😭😊😊

This plane was great when i had my connection in Abu Dhabi.. Going from this plane to the dreamliner felt like an downgrade. the space was cramped and the general feel compared to A350 felt like a remarkable downgrade.
While there is a little overlap the B787 & A350 are not true direct competitors hence they are both big sellers finding there own niche with the airlines. For example A350-1000 is the same size as a B777-300ER.
Still can't figure out why Skytrax ranks Etihad 19th while ranking the likes of Lufthansa, Iberia higher and even have the mid Turkish Airlines in the top 10 when clearly, it's not even top 15 with their sh*tty business class on their 777 and average narrow coffin seat on their 787 🤦♂
Sad to see you have become the new Scam Chui, all credibility disappeared as you started to be bribed by airlines who want great reviews… But money talks... This is just sad….
I love the "badass" look of the 350s and NEOs.

The Norwegian tail in the background is so well censored 😂 The second one was tougher, LATAM perhaps?

It must be amazing to witness the inspection process of gorgeous aircrafts like this. I love their a350 livery so much.
Great to see the worker on a tricycle so he can work out while working/getting around!
Thank you for the tour!

always love etihad brings back beautiful memories
Thank u for doing this. I am an old Jockey on 707's and the first class then was the food and blankets for sleeping....
The lamps in etihads business class creates such a cool ambience and definitely makes it look appealing to the eye
Nice video, that was a pleasure to Welcome you in AUH
In business class, the Etihad hard product is the most beautiful I've flown on, second only to Singapore. I absolutely love the arabic-inspired lamps.
Nice job! I still prefer my 777's, but the A350 is definitely a gem. I loved learning about the best places to sit.

Sounds like a fun one yeah!
Cool to see the Norwegian in the middle there. There's still a broken up one at OSL, hidden behind the NAS-hangar.
norweigen 787 in the ethiad hanger??? am i missing something?
Maybe they had an agreement with Etihad engineering to service it.
@@pmbuthia4210it have ben sold
Probably Etihad bought the plane, since norvegian went bankrupt. And then they came back, but they only fly the 737
That’s what I was thinking 🤔

interesting to see an ex norwegian 787 in there for mtx, wonder what its having done / where its going
Can you tell us what the mystery airline was in the background that had the tail blurred out? (not what looked like a Norwegian plane)
Latam
Norwegian. You can see it while he checks out the best seat for engine view. Since Norwegian doesn't fly the 787 anymore I guess Etihad took ownership of it and refurbishes it now.
@@dominikgarbauer6883 no, I didn't mean the Norwegian
Nice bit of kit.
change the camera angle while filming bcz mostly its front cam !
fav airline and plane
Why was the Norwegian plane blurred but great video
Blurred out is a Norwegian 787 and a Latam 787. Not to hard to figure out….
Perfect. ✈️
Old norwegian 787-8 in the backround?
That means ( ample or commodious economy class) 🌺💐💐❤️
Latam Plane in the back?
Norwegian
Yup, definitely a Latam behind the Norwegian.
Why blurring the Norwegian 787? 😆
The plane that was blurred in the hangar was 787 of Norwegian AirShuttle
Yeah, I wonder if Etihad has bought it from storage and is planning on bringing it back into service.
Am I going mad, but I thought I saw an Norwegen aircraft next to the A350
Why are the other aircraft blurred out?
All avgeeks still know what airlines they are tho 😂
@@albird87 this is the thing, what’s the point when 9 times out of 10 the people watching the video know what they are 😅

Etihad is selling extra service like priority access then staff in other airports doesn't have a clue.
