- 'Established Titles' faced some scrutiny recently, so I had a lawyer look over the claims. Here's his summery...
"I have reviewed the document again after receiving your answers to my questions last week. I found that there were not any statements that were explicitly false, though there were a few phrases that “walked the line” of truth and I think an argument could be made that when you take some of the phrases into consideration at once, there is an implication that those who purchase a Title Pack will own land."

Hello Barnaby. I have been introduced to your channel sometime in mid-February, and up until now, I've spent this time catching up with the series. Dabchick's escapades have enthralled me for the phenomenal characters you've crafted, the dedication to getting all variety in electronic music (as illustrated more than well in this particular episode, hehe) and your dry yet chaotic sense of humour.
I sort of gathered that you've been putting these mad puppetry skills to great use in theatre, in order to spread your artistry in a different, but just as valid way to UA-cam, so imagine my surprise and joy when I saw a new Dabchick episode in my subscriptions.

Whenever I see Dabchick (and that Barnaby fellow too, I guess) I always feel like I'm seeing an old friend after however long it's been since last time. Initially feeling almost annoyed at feeling that strange compulsion to see what the hell they are up to, but then a few seconds in saying to myself: "Oh, wait. What the hell was I thinking? I love these guys!"

Another thing to dabble with before adding to the pile collecting dust... I may have a problem.
One thing that should be noted about the lordship title thing, since all those websites are coming out the woodwork now that valentines day is nearing, is that they do not actually make you a lord/lady. Its all just a fun gimmick to help preserve Scotland's wildlife areas, and does not give you the legal right to use any title in front of your name (in fact, at best it would change your name to Mr/Mrs Lord/Lady ____). Never trust any site that sells titles from the united kingdom - our titles are not actually tradeable or sellable, and can only be bestowed by the crown directly.
Now what is possible is buying Scottish land that is attached to a lordship. Granting you a kinda colloquial lordship - as in, it is not related to the crown and does not grant you any special rights, but is a technicality under Scottish law for landlords that grants the lord/lady title. But be warned, this requires buying the deeds to an entire estate which usually costs the equivalent of buying a house in London (a lot of fkn money). And that's not to mention potential scams.
Its reached a point where in Britain, those who have a fake lordship in their name have passports and documents in the government that specifically state "inclusion of lord/lady/baron/etc is part of the citizens name and is not a title."
Those eyes...the gulp.

Every time I hear Dabchick talk, I try hard not to laugh. Really hard. For about one one-hundredth of a nanosecond. Barnaby, you're a genius. (Plus the whole puppet thing, you know. Having the ability to give life to various inanimate creatures that you created by shoving your hands into various apertures in their bodies is something most people can't take credit for.) But the multilogue of it is just the dash of comedy and insult that it needed.

Hey, your video is great as always! However as a person that is involved in video production, I could not resist commenting on 60fps. It does not suit dabchick content in my opinion. Some of the appeal was derived from choppiness of the image and the fact that our brains kind of filled the gaps, in a way that it happens with some cartoons and animation (see Spider-man: across the spiderverse to check out how they play with different framerates and accentuations if you have not already). I mean 60fps is cool for action and sports, also video games, but there is a reason movies have not really adopted it. Sure there are some films in 60fps and more, but it gives too much detail and smoothness, which exclude twice as much personal perception of the viewer. And the problem is that if the image is not super perfect, the magic start to leak. Peter Jackson tried to film Hobbit in high framerates and it was generally accepted as a bad move I think.
I did not mean to criticize, I am sure you have your own vision and reasons for experiments, I just wanted to share my personal viewer experience.
Half of the animation and puppetry is the things we do not really see, as you surely know, so I am sad that I see a bit too much this time around

I completely agree, a 24fps look should suit it better.
Last I checked you could watch puppet shows even in meatspace and the "magic" was no less reduced even at the highest possible framerate.
Dabchick should have a weekly news comment vid. Random news event from tv, online or newspaper and have Dabchick discuss, muse or vent spleen.
Are we all gonna forget how nice those music makers look?
