It was you, Lacey. YOU. You're the one who had those experiences, who sings for us, who moves us with your voice and your beauty. It's you who sings and writes and loves. YOU! Not some imaginary "god". You. It's sad to see you give all the credit to someone who isn't even there. I guess some people really do need something to believe in, but I don't see a god when I listen to Flyleaf, or the beautiful songs you wrote, or when I hear you talk. I see you. A beautiful woman who was able to find her way out of a dark place and was able to pull others out just by being alive and using her voice. Your experiences with being an atheist aren't exactly typical; most atheists are very happy, good, intelligent, nice people. I'm MUCH happier as an atheist than I was as a Christian. Music can move people regardless of faith. I don't need a god to be happy, and if anything believing in religion made me LESS happy. I don't have anything against religious people, I just disagree with them, and I don't let it get in the way of me enjoying awesome music. ;) Also, I love your book too, I've read it several times and will most likely read it even more in the future.
