Hi @Dji Support I am from Italy and I sent my drone to Hungary which was noted at the dji website on where to send. I sent it last January 25, 2020 and now it is the 12th of February and still no word from them. Still to be received. It was gifted to me last Jan. 14 and I dont have Dji care. Anything I should do to atleast hear from you guys about my mini 2 repair?
Really useful video. Crashed my Mini 3 today and I was going to do several things which you pointed out not to do. The rear wing is cracked, so I doubt mine is going to cost a fair bit to repair. Thank you so much.
I really appreciate your feedback. Dji mini 3 will be pricey to repair having those sensors. Crashing your drone it's an awful feeling but don't worry. It will get fixed. Got a Dji mini 3 myself and didn't even fly it yet as I don't got time. But it's best to purchase a Dji Care as it would have been way more cheaper. I hope they quote you a reasonable price. Wish you all the best and happy holidays.
@@TravellerWithPlanYes - if I was going back I’d definitely get the Care package, regardless of the extra cost. It was definitely disheartening crashing it - I’ve had it for over 6 months, had over 160 flights in that time and have flown over 80km distance. I thought I was an “experienced pilot” but it shows how easy something can happen! Interesting I just did my repair request it didn't ask me to put my case number or anyting in the box it just told me to print a UPS label off put the drone in a box put a label on it and send it to them. Wonder if it may be different for U.S. folks. Also it's been my experience I've had three drones I've had to send in for repair they always just send me a new one or give me the option to upgrade to a different model.
That's a good information to share. Unfortunately from UK they operate a bit different. I believe it's because of Brexit and sending items to Europe requires additional paperwork. I had to send my drone 4-5 times to recieve a brand new one. And during that time I didn't had Dji Cover. But I used it recently to get a new one and then you not allowed a replacement after that.
@@TravellerWithPlan Ohh ahh yeah in the UK I wouldn't be surprised. Was visiting a family member that lives in Carbost, Scotland last year she was having heck getting a drone replaced. @@TravellerWithPlan, my Mini-2 needs repairing and I can't send it anywhere cause the minute I do that , it might be Confiscated cause there hasn't been no final conclusion to this "Drone Ban"we have here on the Island , just Amazing !!!!!
Definitely now I will be 200% more careful except for the next video. Which am not sure how it will go. But I got dji care this time. 😁happy droning buddy 👍
As has been said, they just sent you a completely different drone, hence the new serial number and need to pair it to the controller. With Care Refresh, you have the choice of them looking at your drone and repairing it or telling them to just send you a replacement as soon as yours arrives with them (quicker). I chose this option and had mine back today, like yours a completely different drone with stickers. The only difference is mine came in a nice sealed DJI box. The box holds just a drone, nothing else.
Ohh. Ye I paired it 2 times. Done everything I could and followed some suggestions of different people. I didn't want to just send it without trying. But I made dji refresh when my drone was on its way . But am sure they will charge me if I ask for replacement . I already paid them for this one but it has some problem so it needs to be fix. I don't want to pay anything more to them. But good thing that you mention it. I need look into this. I may write them on a note if I got a choice for replacement without paying then I will prefer that. And see what will happen. 🙏👍 Is your new drone working okay now ? 😊
@@TravellerWithPlan You have already paid for a replacement, my guess is they will just send you another drone so it will have yet another serial number and need to be paired with your controller. Whether you pay an amount for a 'repair' as you have or a care refresh customer asking for a replacement as I did, it is more cost effective for them to just send out new ones. The damaged ones I assume will just be recycled in some way.
Indeed. We need to wait and see. I hope they don't say my drone has nothing and send it back to me. I will make sure I write that also on the letter. 👍😊
Hi there. There was another person that asked about drone repair in India, which unfortunately it's not as simple as other countries . Check the pinned comment from Dji support service, as they have replied to him regarding his issue on the comment section .
Well depends on the make of your drone. If its a Dji then possibly it will be send to a service center which is near your area/country. Where are you from? I try look for you.
Hi there, no need to send battery unless there is an issue. And yes, don't send the original box. No need. The same goes about the RC. If there is nothing with it don't send it. All the best 😊
Am not exactly sure, but you will usually put all the details and also the drone most of the times is registered with your operation licence and the specific drone that you are operating.
I keep my things looking new and what I dont like is you get back a refurbished one with a different serial number. This happened to me when a screen failed on my new goggles. The ones they sent back looked used and the picture quality was not as good as my original ones. The serial number did not match my box. I ended up selling the goggles.
glad you got it back, thanks for the video. i bought the dji care refresh just incase, originally nought the flymore combo from ebay UK. got the propeller guards from dji, havent really got out into the field with it yet. your videos have helped, so thank you. im near stansted airport, so relying on the app to tell me where i can and cant fly. keep up with the vids, liked and subbed. laters dude
Really appreciate your comment buddy. Gives me more modivation to put out more footage. Same here fly more combo it's a must. Wasn't expecting to crash my drone in 1 month but now have also dji care. For £45 you can't go wrong. Being near the airport most likely you will get more restrictions. Hope you find a good place to fly your drone. Keep it safe my friend 👍🙏
Hey Costas! Quick question for you, if that’s alright? Did you have to pay any VAT when it was sent back to you from DJI in Holland? The reason I ask is that I’m hearing a few horror stories from UK flyers when they’ve sent drones in to DJI for repair or replacement!
Hey there. This was my first time sending my drone and on top of the service, on the invoice there was a VAT £25(21%).Customer service is really good. No jokes. Quick and good service. And they always there to answer phones and emails. The last 2 times which I send it back because Dji haven't fixed it correctly there was no charge on delivery or any hidden fees.
Not new drone, different drone. Whenever you repair it, for some reason they change the body, or give you a different drone with other problems. 🤷♂️ I had to send it 4-5 times until I recieve a brand new one.
I crash my Drone. My camera was crack, and 1 of my gimbal arm was broken. Definitely suck. Mine was 153 us. But I'd rather pay that then buying a whole new 1
The feeling of crashing the drone is awful. Yes I agree. That's not a bad price. I would have done the same. But I hope you done a Dji care this time, even if you don't use it.
@TravellerWithPlan can ya get that still? It did suck seeing it fall. My heart stop haha like this ain't a toy. Can't just go get another 1 for 20,and get this same results.
@@Kid_Zed you will not need other drone. This one will do everything for you. Keep it safe this time. My advice is don't risk it on a very windy day and always pay attention on the surroundings 👍😊Happy flying.
No my friend its not a new drone. Believe me I send it back to them 4-5 times from the issues. And then as the problem was not been resolved then they send me a complete new one. This one they just replace the broken part but maybe from a drone that already had there for parts.
@@TravellerWithPlan I have sent my mavic 3 cine to repair after some errors with the ssd and an accident so, let's see what happens...I would get news next week..., also I'm kinda impressed that they choose to repair instead of sending a new one from the beginning, the repair at the end was like at least 3 times more expensive in man hours than sending a new drone, also repairing a drone is a risky thing, it's not like an smartphone, if for an error related to the repair it crash and injured somebody you can guess what's going to happen...
Indeed. My one is a Dji mini 2. And I paid for repairs after they found and quote me for the problem. But for some reason my drone was never steady after the accident. In your case I am not sure what they will do but to be able to recieve a new one you need to have Dji care. We see. I hope all the best with your drone. Dji support and the technicians are good. They will solve the issue. 🙏
@@TravellerWithPlan I got my mavic 3 cine replaced instead of repair, the overall fees were 350 bucks, not to shabby, im extremely happy with the dji service
So, the drone they sent you isn't your original one...?...It's another drone which has been serviced or repaired..?...Could be older than your original drone..?...Does anyone know?, I mean 145 Euro's could buy you a new one ( If DJI would let you buy one that is)..It's a money milking exercise by DJI IMO...🤔😳😳🇬🇧
Well in my knowledge it was my original one but because they change body, and I think gimbal, the serial number also changed I suppose. 🤷♂️ To be fair I don't think I could find 145 euros a "new" drone. But yes it's not cheap either so they should have done a better job. This time when I send it they said that they fixed aircraft GPS and imu module . We will find out max by Tuesday I believe when I recieve it again and I make a new video if they actual fixed it and what was the actual problem including the prosidure of sending it back to them because I send my controller also 👍 And if there is again problem this the part where I will demand a new one free of charge. I got dji care after they repaired it but I don't want to use it because I already paid 🙄😊
@@TravellerWithPlan Here's the thing....Let's say you have no insurance DJI refresh or whatever okay ...You go flying and loose your drone in the Lake, but you can't just buy a replacement drone, you have to buy a whole new setup, including Controller and everything else...Ask yourself why that is...?...🤔🤔😳🙄🇬🇧
Yes I believe so. I don't think they sell seperate drones. Don't know why. But the best thing is to try recover it from lake and send it to them to get it fix. Or even find someone that sells a broken one, fix it and pair it with the controller. But I get what you mean. At the end of the day they making money its business. But Dji support seriously its really professional and helpful. Not like some other company's that you may wait for answer over a month. Or even you buy from their shops and they don't even send you the right product. Lesson of the day, we need to be more careful 😁
@@TravellerWithPlan Yes, but my point was, it's their marketing ploy to make you buy stuff you don't need...and buy into their Care and Refresh scheme...🤔😳🇬🇧 But yes, at least DJI have a repair service, so kudos for that at least..😳
You don't have to buy the Dji Care. It's not like Go Pro which they force you to buy a subscription for a discount. I just bought it so I don't have to pay that much again. And I intend to do some cool stuff on the following videos which it may be risky and I may damage my drone again 🙄🤐😊 I never like buying subscriptions or this stuff but I said okay I give it a go for £45 a year. Until they produce dji mini 3 or something haha
Oh damn. Sorry to hear that. It's a stressful feeling but everything it's fixable. As long as you recover it and it's not completely lost. Eventually it will happen sooner or later. But we learn afterwards to be more careful. I hope this video helps you to sort it out 👍🤞

Kept getting held up in customs and then sent back to the shipper. she said it took her over 10 months to get her replacement
Oh wow. That would have been a stressful experience.
You think they didn't charge you for the Propellers ?
Hi there. To be honest, I don't remember as I have send it to many times back to them 😊 But I think yes.
@@TravellerWithPlan, my Mini-2 needs repairing and I can't send it anywhere cause the minute I do that , it might be Confiscated cause there hasn't been no final conclusion to this "Drone Ban"we have here on the Island , just Amazing !!!!!
Contact Dji through twitter and they might have a solution for you. They got good support team. I hope you solve it my friend 🤞
@@TravellerWithPlan ok , thanks and take care .
Dude that's a brand new drone. Ain't the one you sent in. Be careful this time around, happy droning!
Definitely now I will be 200% more careful except for the next video. Which am not sure how it will go. But I got dji care this time. 😁happy droning buddy 👍
hi can it work witha dji mini se
Hi there. You mean about the prosidure to send your drone?
@@TravellerWithPlan for repair
Yes it's the same prosidure for all Dji products. But depends on the country you are staying, as mine it's in UK and its a bit more easier.
@@TravellerWithPlan can i make a online repair from the carribean
Ohh that one you need to contact them to give you more details as they may not have Dji repair centre for Caribbean
What if i send it from india ?what will be the cost
Hi there. There was another person that asked about drone repair in India, which unfortunately it's not as simple as other countries . Check the pinned comment from Dji support service, as they have replied to him regarding his issue on the comment section .
Do everybody send theirs to the same place to get fixed ? I been tryna find out where to send mine off at
Well depends on the make of your drone. If its a Dji then possibly it will be send to a service center which is near your area/country. Where are you from? I try look for you.
Hi, just want to ask if the cost includes fixing of the gimbal?
Hi there, if I remember correctly they fixed the gimbal arm module.. My camera gimbal I think it was ok because the cost would have been higher.
Should i send a battery with the drone. So, i should not send my original drone box or i wont get it back, just a box where the drone fits?
Hi there, no need to send battery unless there is an issue. And yes, don't send the original box. No need. The same goes about the RC. If there is nothing with it don't send it. All the best 😊
how will dji know the drone is from me when i ship it for repair
Am not exactly sure, but you will usually put all the details and also the drone most of the times is registered with your operation licence and the specific drone that you are operating.
I keep my things looking new and what I dont like is you get back a refurbished one with a different serial number. This happened to me when a screen failed on my new goggles. The ones they sent back looked used and the picture quality was not as good as my original ones. The serial number did not match my box. I ended up selling the goggles.
Exactly. Am the same. That's why now it's being send to Dji. It's all about consistency 👌👍
glad you got it back, thanks for the video. i bought the dji care refresh just incase, originally nought the flymore combo from ebay UK. got the propeller guards from dji, havent really got out into the field with it yet. your videos have helped, so thank you. im near stansted airport, so relying on the app to tell me where i can and cant fly. keep up with the vids, liked and subbed.
And you checked - the drone has the same number. Looks like they just sent you a new drone.
Well they give you a time frame to get the Dji care when they fix it. You could always add it up I presume.
@TravellerWithPlan thank you. Much appreciated for that. This my 1st drone. So new to alot
@@Kid_Zed you will not need other drone. This one will do everything for you. Keep it safe this time. My advice is don't risk it on a very windy day and always pay attention on the surroundings 👍😊Happy flying.
They don't change anything, that's a totally new drone bro...hahhaa
Dji Service always was supportive. Glad to hear you got it sorted. Have you got a Dji care? Don't remember of you mention that.
you were sent a new drone body
Yes my friend. I noticed. Upper and middle body. As there was the visible damage 👍 Well the gym body of my drone cost me a lot 😁
Just crash my cheers bro
Oh damn. Sorry to hear that. It's a stressful feeling but everything it's fixable. As long as you recover it and it's not completely lost. Eventually it will happen sooner or later. But we learn afterwards to be more careful. I hope this video helps you to sort it out 👍🤞
