They sucked up all the dead fish and were taking it to a rendering plant at Duke point, tranfering the dead fish from the trawlers to the plant using hydro-vac trucks. over 5 trawlers full. fish processors do not directly dye the meat of fish. Instead, they rely on methods like diet supplementation with natural pigments, as well as other processes that enhance or preserve the natural coloration of the fish. Specifically:
Diet Supplementation: In farmed fish like salmon, processors use feed that contains natural pigments like astaxanthin and canthaxanthin. These pigments are found in the diet of wild fish and help maintain the pink or reddish color that consumers expect.
Smoking and Curing: These methods can enhance the natural color of the fish. Smoking, for example, can give fish a more vibrant hue due to the chemical reactions that occur during the process.
Packaging and Lighting: Techniques like modified atmosphere packaging and specific lighting in display cases can help preserve and enhance the natural color of the fish without the need for dyes.
Directly dyeing the meat is generally not a common practice, especially given regulations and consumer preferences for natural and minimally processed foods.

Why does modern farming always have to ruin everything? Why can’t we have better standards for our farms and farmed animals? Why is it always either cheap crap or nothing at all? If the standards are better, the quality will be better, the price might be higher but there will be more nutrients in the food and less waste, ppl have to actually appreciate the food and not waste it!!
