Hard to say what the favourite part to play is - maybe the Overture because it has all the themes - though I also like the Trio and Frederick/Mabel Duet in the second act. What is your favourite moment?
I heartily agree. Sullivan was absolutely of the same standing as his contemporary composers, such as Offenbach. And so often one hears the influences and even mimicry (in a flattering sense) of the grand opera of the time.
@@MatthewToogood I also think he improved as time went on where Gilbert declined. The problems with the later operas "Utopia" and "Grand Duke" were more due to Gilbert's librettos than Sullivan's music.
I enjoyed singing along.
Fantastic! What else would you sing along to?
🥰🥰 I love this. Thank you old friend.
Thanks Eddie M! Happy Easter
Can't wait! I'll have a sing-along with just myself 🎉
That is so sweet - I'm so happy you're excited about it.

You are welcome!🤗
That was wonderful! It was a great accompaniment to my work this morning.
Fantastic. hopefully not too much pouring of the pirate sherry before work though... 🍷
Incredible!
Thank you
Hello and thank you! I’m currently preparing the role of Mabel and this has been so helpful 😊
Fantastic! May I ask where you will be performing it? Always, somewhere, someone is putting on G&S.... Toitoitoi 🍀🍀🍀
Thank you! At Venue 114 on the Sunshine Coast in Qld at the end of May, with Kirkman and Scott Productions :)
Fantastic. Toitoitoi
Amazing! What is your favorite part to play?

I agree those are really good! I love Pour, oh pour the Pirate Sherry- it is such a fun opening tune and really captures the “pirate” sound haha..
@@rachela5383 Oh yeah, that's a fun number for sure
Sullivan was wrong. His music was so much more than just accompaniment for Gilbert's words and easily stands up without the lyrics.

@@dmnemaine I only ever performed sections of Uptopia and Grand Duke, but never got to the full operettas :(
