He... never said that? He said that his booking agents do stuff, and that when he heard Jake was interested he tried to make it work.
The issue is that he can't just platform Fuentes because of hatespeech rules (which suck, but if you want to play on YT you have to follow them or get banned) and that the loophole to that would be a debate. Tim attempted to find a debate partner for Jake and Nick, but no one agreed and Tim himself isn't adequately informed to debate the topic, plus I'm not sure it would be enough to avoid banning even if he did.
The fact that Jake's response to this falling through was "you lie like a jew" and that he just wanted to get Nick on mainstream platforms and get people mad is a really bad optic as well. If you care about actually getting your position heard you don't want people mad. Mad people aren't going to listen unless they already agree. That's not how you sway the positions of the undecided.
It's fair to be annoyed this fell through, but not to claim Tim was leading them on.
Alternatively, why not haot it on another platform? IDK why that wasn't considered. Was it Tim that turned that option down, or was it Jake and Nick?

Again, my biggest question here is about if it HAD to be on YT, and if so who made that decision? If Jake and Nick's reactions are any indication it came from THEIR side, since in Jake's own words he wanted to go on the show to piss people off, amongst other things.
