- We are Tammy and Ron of Weinke World Adventures, and we recently sailed on the MSC Magnifica ship out of Miami on a 4 night cruise to the Bahamas and the MSC island, Ocean Cay. In this video, we embark on the ship in Miami, enjoy the sail away and day 1 of our cruise! We also get to eat lunch in the buffet and dinner in the main dining room. It was a really exciting day!

As a first timer heading towards my first cruise, thanks for showing the views and not just your face the whole time. I watched another embarkment video, and it was just of this guys face the whole time. Not helpful at all. I want to see the views!

Are you sailing out of Miami? I believe we paid $22 per day, and we were parked in the surface lot E. Here is the website that gives a lot more information on the parking at the port:

Do you have to be vaccinated?
Hi there! No, there was no requirement for vaccination for this cruise. 😊 I think that most cruise lines have done away now with that requirement.

How was the muster drill process this time?
Much better, Cindy! We knew exactly what to expect this time, so that really helped. They had the TV on the right channel playing the safety video when we walked in, so that also helped! And as the ship was a little smaller, we had no trouble navigating where to go to find our muster station. ❤️

Did you need a visa for the Bahamas cruise?
Hi there! Because we are American citizens, we did not need a visa or anything. We do have passports. If you are an American, you can either use a passport OR a legal birth certificate and photo ID such as a drivers license. But visas are not required, unless you are from out of the country, to my knowledge. 🤗

That’s a good question. They didn’t really have a formal night, but many people got dressed up on the white night. There is a white night with a white party. There’s also a tropical night one night if you wanna dress up for that, but that’s a little more casual.
