Welcome, Frank and thanks so much! Our itinerary for this cruise was that we stopped at the MSC island, Ocean Cay, also Nassau in the Bahamas. @@weinkeworldadventures We had some gusts here but nothing major. Never lost power, the bad stuff happened to the east of us on the panhandle and along the Gulf. Praying for not only our state but the other states impacted by this storm. I hear that NC has a dam that is about ready to burst on a small town which is really scary.

Hi there! Wow, I hope you will be safe in Sarasota! I hear there will be some surge down that way. Are you near the ocean? Yes, we live about an hour inland from the ocean, so it looks like we will be fine. They keep saying there will be more wind coming later this afternoon, but so far so good. 🙏❤️

I live a mile and a half east of the gulf. So, I'm o.k with the storm surge. Just hoping I won't lose power. Wind is getting stronger here. Stay safe.

Thanks for thinking of me. We lost power for an hour and a half and then it came back on. This has never happened before. Usually when you lose power during a storm it will take anywhere from days to weeks for restoration. We were very lucky no damage. We just have a lot of debris to clean up. Thanks again for thinking of me.

@@weinkeworldadventures We're doing good - it's been a busy summer with getting things done around the house and taking some trips. Retirement is not too far away and we're thinking of the logistics of it.

That’s really exciting! So much fun to plan for. I’m glad you were able to get some trips in over the summer as well as getting some work done. Did you have a favorite place you visited? 😎

@@weinkeworldadventures Travel trailer wise we just stuck to some fairly nearby RV parks to get more of a feel for what we would need for the camper as we plan trips a little further away. We now know, for instance, that we want a different mattress. It'll be fun when we retire so that we can do a nice stretch and visit some Florida State parks as we go. This summer we also drove (in the car) to DC and spent a few days seeing the sights and that was a lot of fun.

That’s a really good idea to take some test runs so you can see what you need for your travel trailer. A comfortable mattress is definitely an necessity! That sounds great about camping in the Florida State parks once you retire. So far, we’ve only been to a couple of the state parks, but I just love them! Hopefully we can go to a lot more as well. And how fun that you got to go to DC! We went through years ago, but would love to go back without the kids and really hit the museums and stuff. Glad you had a good trip. 😊
