    Muffs/ear plugs should be used every time. It takes 3 seconds and if its a plug you feel NOTHING. You might not feel the damage, but its getting you deaf prematurely.

    Take that saw to the dealer or someone knowledgeable . It was running like crap before the muffler mod was even done. Could be coil related, could be a slight air leak screwing with its electronics etc. Hard to tell without hands on. And another thing, blowing some cleaner in the intake wont do nothing to a sticky needle. That thing is INSIDE the carb, the intake hole just goes straight into the bottom end and doesn't clean anything.

      Nothing wrong with that saw - at all. Reset only. Yes, that was a bit of an odd coincidence insofar as the sputtering vs the muffler mod timing, but the Auto Tune did what it was designed to do. A muffler mod typically would not cause an erratic running condition on these saws, but heck, who knows. To me, it sounded like it was having a tank venting issue (or running low on fuel). Auto Tune works, that's for sure. A very reliable system. Good for Oakey it cleared up nicely. I'm sure it still runs good.

      @cgriebel1 last time I ran that saw it was in the 70 degree range and that day it was in the 30s. I think that had something to do with it or something in the carb. It worked its self out. Thanks for watching

    Not sure what is going on behind the log when you say you are resetting. But a reset will take full load cutting a log for 90 seconds. Cut a log length way. That way you will get 90 seconds of full throttle full load cut .

    Good video! That is all it took to do a little bit of a muffler mod? Am I correct that you only did one hole? Thanks for sharing. When you do the Field Reset do you let it idle for 3 or 4 minutes first? Thanks again sir!

      @oakeymt.outdoors  Рік тому +1

      I actually did 2 small holes. Yes I did let the saw idle for 3 mins. I did stall before I did the mod but thought it was just cold. Thanks for watching

      Thank you. Do you think there would be room for 3? Might it be too much? It would be cool if this muffler also fit on the 562. Would be cool to see what it does before you are commited! Thanks sir!@@oakeymt.outdoors

      Correct sir. They are definitely not the same saws. Close, yes, but not identical, that's for sure. That's like saying the 562 is a re-badged 555. Nope. For the record, I own a new 555.
