My opinion, your shop videos are your best ones.
Thanks. People love shop projects.
I remember back in the day when you upgraded your initial clamp storage system because it was too bad, and now you're upgrading it once again to make new improvements. I love watching you as your woodworking tools and style change over time, it's very authentic. Also, a great message to send, that you should never just settle.
Great job, Steve!
I really like how you're showing the 3D model of what you're building before you start building. Makes it a lot easier to visualize.
This is one charismatic woodworker.
I love rewatching Steve's videos💚🧡♥️
Always great to see a little more of Princess Meow Meow. RIP, Your Majesty.
Loved this video. I especially appreciate the beginning section where you went through what works and doesn't work about each part of your previous storage system. That's my favourite bit of problem solving, so it was great that you shared the process!
Clamps can be difficult to store because there are so many different sizes and shapes. Here are some of my solutions. Let me know if you have any clever ideas! Read more about this and download my plans here: bit.ly/clampracks
Steve Ramsey HEY I LOVE U AND UR VIDS BECAUSE U MAKE COOL THINGS AND I HOPE UR HAVING A GREAT DAY AND CONTINUE MAKING THESE PLZZZZZZZZZ
Steve Ramsey BTW THX FOR THE FREE PLANS
Have you ever thought about making your own clamps out of wood?
love the videos and like your clamp storage solution, however, one of the great things about clamps is that they, well, can easily clamp to things so my clamp storage solution is a straight piece of wood all of my clamps clamp to.
My main work bench for some of my stationary tools (drill press, etc.) has a piece of 1" tall 1/8" thick MDF screwed on to the back. It was a scrap from something else (bottom of my table saw sled I think?). I just clamp all my spring clamps to that, and hook my C-clamps over the edge. Always within reach where I'm most likely to need them :)
What I love most about this channel is about the creative way he promotes stuff.
Very good point. On many other channels I will try to skip the sponsored part of the videos. Don't have to do that here. Steve makes it fun to watch. Clever guy :)
He advertises fast, nice easy, with an informative and friendly style. That's why I can spend the time on his channel.
I cringe a lot on legit tv commercials, but this guy is legit. The tv people just need to hire him for all commercials.
yes, I ended up buying the freaking Microjig LOL and love it
It’s the thing I dislike most
You can never have enough...MICRO JIG
I swear, that microjig ad gets me every time xD
I really like shop projects. We´re all tankful for having your great videos every week. Thanks to MicroJig and Harry´s for sponsoring the show.
I'm thankful for WWfMM
STEVE UR THE BEST THX FOR STARTING UA-cam IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!! UR THE BEST NEVER GIVE UP ON UR PROJECTS
Thanks! I appreciate your support.
I'm just here for these old microjig commercials
Learnt some skill unexpectedly on watching this video. It's raising a table saw blade on cutting slots. Excellent... thank you, Steve!
learned a new word!
What a delightful man you are and I share your love a pet cat 🐱😊
Thats what I love about your channel dude: constant improvement through the time
Shots fired! Time for a WWMM vs I Build it showdown.
I love that your channel is for ACTUAL mere mortals.
Also, you have a lot of clamps...
I really liked the last rendition of the behind the door space, but I do believe you REALLY nailed it (no pun intended, strangely enough) with this one. BRAVO!!!
Hello from malaysia. Always enjoy watching your video 👍🏻
Thanks for the update video. Glad to know what worked and didn't work in your woodworking storage.
And I'm thankful for Woodworking for mere mortals. Keep up the amazing work Steve.
It's great to watch the iterative design process evolve. Thanks for this!
Steve, I was wondering, while cutting the slots for the bar clamp rack, was there some reason you couldn't have just stood the piece upright? I was thinking that would have probably solved the issue of the curvature of the saw blade?
Cool project, always nice to rearrange certain areas of the shop from time to time.
Nice, clamp rack with a walnut accent. Extra fancy.
Two things we all need, clamps and micro jigs coming out the wazoo
The pipe clamp and bar clamp racks were the first ever shop projects I made. Good times. Thanks Steve.
I love that nodding turning into shaking at 7:03 :D
You have literally no he best ideas thanks!
MY CLAMPS ARE SO MUCH USEFUL BECAUSE OF THIS VIDEO THX AGAIN STEVE
Crazy thing is I just made similar clamp storage racks and I am almost done with the video...Thilk I'll link back to this video when I post it!
I'd love the plans for this! finding storage for my clamps has been a pain
Sometimes simple is just better - to store my clamps i just clamp them all to a shelf; it works really well!
lot's of different solutions - I dig it!
But what about Earthquakes?! Clearly you need to get a 4 wheeler and test :)
OK, best comment award!
To funny :')
Nice job Steve!
I love princess meow meow's guest appearances
Wonderful project, thanks Steve for sharing your idea and plans.
Great as always Steve. I have borrowed quite a few of your ideas for my shop over the years.
Really enjoy your video . Relaxing for the weekends. Not to mention your great sense humour.
My storage tip for clamps are to just clamp my clamps to the wall using clamps! :3
ALL good !! nice video !!! Have a nice weekend !!!!
Some great ideas Steve. Had a chuckle about waiting on season 2, we can't wait either. Keep up the good work mate.
Most useful lesson from your UA-cam channel. Thanks a lot!!
Good project and another great video!!!
Damn, it's been a while since I've fallen for your opening Microjig gag. Got me this time haha! Well done, sir.
I love this channel so fricken much
Nice job
Now I have change my UA-cam video , where I credit you for my clamp Rack ... Because you have changed your ..... But your new ones are GREAT !!!!!🐱Princess Meow meow
Gotta say. The music was the best part of this episode.
i did my clamp racks using your previous version like 3 months ago. Dammit!
very well thought out, I may have to borrow a couple of those ideas. Thanks for another great video.
Great video been looking for a storage system like this and this is just great
You've inspired me to do some clamp organization. Every time I try to grab a piece of hard wood I knock over 3 or 4 big pipe clamps. Your setup looks like it saves a lot of time. Like.
You do awesome videos and inspired me many times... one of my favorite things I build following your inspiration is my clamp rack! :-) Thanks Steve!
Way to go Steve!
Enjoyed this video a lot. Thank you.
Turned out great!
Grooving on that music
Fabulous ideas, I may copy, if I have time, well done. Love the cat.
Watched your clamp rack vid fro 2013 just now, then this one. You are really great to watch, Steve! New subscriber here, really enjoyed watching this, and love your humour... it's almost British! ;)
Almost a 'self-licking ice cream cone' type of project where you have to use clamps to build a clamp holder. Good stuff Steve!!
Cool clamp racks
nice Job you are the best Woodworking Channel on youtube for me i love your projekts so much thanks for this contant greats from good old Germany:)
The clamps helped build their new home
Good Ideas Thanks
Nice upgrade, Steve!
Hardwood cross brace for the C-clamps? I think we can dub that "Extra Fancy!"
I think we can dub that response as pretentious Dou-- nevermind. The hardwood addition offers a solid base for an intensive amount of use, this is highly beneficial to those that are serious about their efforts.
Nice upgrade
At the beginning of the video I asked myself what those "Kreg" clamps is used for, and now I understand. Looks like a brilliant piece of equipment for hard- to-reach places.
You can never....ahhhh
Great video and project, I hope I'll need that rack soon
Well you certainly "clamped" down on this project, didn't you! Pun intended. Thanks for your how-to's. I need to make a headboard, so I'm gleaning from your videos. DD
Nice job. Raider Nation all the way!
Nice Thats a good setup I think!
I'm glad you are thankful for all of those things!!?m❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
Thanks for the ideas. At present my clamps are not well organized I think I will get to work on that now
New music, YAY!!
I suggest storing clamps in a cave on top of a sacred mountain. Have the entrance of the cave guarded by a spirit who will only let the purest and bravest of heart enter. Leave the clamps in a container which can only be opened if a noble and great piece of woodworking is brought before the container and burnt as a worthy sacrifice. It may not be the most "convenient" way to retrieve clamps, but they will be well guarded and you will never have a dull moment in wood working again. You are guaranteed that every time you use the clamps for wood working the experience will be an epic adventure!
Love it!
as usual, great video!
I like the kreg rack Steve. Mine are just poked everywhere ha
Love this video!
Thank God I saw the improved version. I was going to start on the old version haha
LOL at your ads. Steve, u r so crazy.
Thanks Mr. Steve!! This is definitely gonna help me with my clamping situation. 😁
Great! Thanks for watching.
I'd never miss your show!!😊
muito bom seus videos.
I like these ideas...I have 12 wooden jaw clamps, and I have never seen anyone make a rack for more than one of these. I think I'll use your idea. but make the holder longer. and it will take more than one.
I Love your videos. Thank you as always for sharing :)
Steve about the bandsaw cuts, there are nowadays blades with a variable TPI, the cut they give is really good and accurate. Might be worth a try. I resawed with a 3/4 tpi or "varitooth" 5/8" blade and basically only had to do some minor smoothing to get a finished surface. It changed how I worked with the bandsaw producing such better quality cuts.
My workshop is in my basement, so I tend to hang bar clamps from the ceiling trusses, which is rather suboptimal, because when you bump them they tend to fall down. Maybe I could make a rack like yours that would attach to the ceiling but would hold them more securely. My shop is pretty disorganised because I'm pretty disorganised, so every little thing helps.
Cats like omg y human. Interesting video. When I first saw what you were talking about with the c clamps, I thought of maybe then sitting in a groove, but your idea seems to work much better. :) my thought would've probably eventually led to the groove wearing and causing problems with holding things properly.
all of my clamps are stuffed in one shelf and it drives me nutz every time
thanks you
how do you come up with so much microjig into? impressive :P
Would you ever consider doing a workflow video of how you design something? From brain to sketchup to building?
man, I love your videos so much!! xD
very need updates :) thanks for sharing
In Argentina the clamps are very expensives, i gonna try to make some diy bar clamps. cool ideas, like always thanx Steve!
Good idea! I've seen some really easy to make bar clamps.
