    I went to youtube to research clamp racks. Here I am ten minutes later, research complete!!!! You idea is simple, cheap, universal, repositionable. I was afraid of falling down the rabbit hole in designing my clamp storage, but this is all I need. You are the man!

    I just built a smaller 16 inch wide version and am happy with it! Simple design, dust falls through, and plenty sturdy.

    I really like how you lay out the problem and all of the considerations to design for. Then talking through how you come up with your design elements. Most videos on this topic, skip all that and just start building a solution. Thanks to your technique, I can go look at my clamp problem to solve and come up with a design that meets my requirements. Kudos!

    I am only new to woodwork and i found that i had my clamps scattered everywhere. I stumpled accross this video and put together this rack when i knocked off work. What a fantastic and simple little project. Thankyou.

    Simple and practical. Beats the other videos I saw that looked more like a bit of showing off than finding a simple solution. I'm using yours!

    I have watched more "clamp rack" videos than I care to remember. Your design is awesome and incredibly simple, thanks for breaking it down Barney style. I already have shelving in place with useable dead space below them. I can simply attach a piece of scrap between the 16" centers and hang my clamps. You turned what I expected to be a day long process into an hour long process. Keep the great ideas coming 👍

    Sometimes the greatest inventions are the simplest. I had been studying a clamp rack plan for a few days and creating a cart with the required materials. Then I ran across this video. Simple yet fits the need. I built it in less than an hour with scraps left over from other projects. It is perfect and cost me nothing! Great job!

    I am a clamp hoard. I pick up clamps at garage sales, etc, so like you, they are not all of the same beautiful vintage. I love the easy build. I added a few inches above with a pipe for my C-clamps and a shelf above that for my corner clamps and oddities (aka dust collection). Thanks for the inspiration!

    Works well as a simple rack. You might want to add a piece of ply in the right side that extends up above to prevent them from falling off that end.

    Great and simple idea for the rack. What I appreciate even more is the use of a bar magnet to find stud locations. I have always used small round magnets but with the larger surface area of a bar, it will be so much quicker. I will glue it to a small wooden handle and masking tape over the magnet as not to mar finished walls. Thank you very much.

      @OneMinuteWorkbench  5 років тому
