I am still getting used to a suggested reaction style. This is pausing less, and reacting more with facial expressions. This is difficult for me as I am an analyser, and have very dry visual reactions. I would usually edit out long sections where I am not commenting and just watching, but have been advised not to do this by viewers. This may be a little dull to watch but I left these parts in to avoid confusion. I will hopefully become more confident with this editing style and improve my video quality for you all, please be kind as I am still learning.

I am a 21 year old singer/songwriter from Scarborough, currently based in Manchester. I have just completed a vocal degree at BIMM Manchester with outstanding results and have been vocally trained since the age of 12. I started this channel in 2019 and I uploaded a song cover weekly. I am so sorry that any Dimash fan or Dear would be so rude. Dimash is a very humble young talented,gifted,and educated performer. He would not appreciate anyone treating anyone with such disrespect. We all love Dimash and his performances, but that does not give us the right to disrespect anyone. His parents wouldn't even do that. It is your channel and you should pause any time you see fit. Don't be afraid to pause the video when you want to comment. The same people complaining about stopping the video too often have watched this video dozens of times. This is a reaction video, not simply replaying the video.

I really don't understand the people who have a problem with pausing. I want to hear what you have to say as things are happening. I don't want you to miss any of the song as you're talking. Pausing is the only way that makes sense. Are you supposed to remember every single thing you thought and felt all the way through the song and then go through it all at the end? Don't listen to those people. There are a lot of stupid people who comment on Dimash reaction videos. They don't understand that you're not here to listen to the song the way they want to listen to it. They can just click the original video if they want it played uninterrupted.

It is obviously, that this song Dimash "revived" to a new life after a lot of years.

@Lana Humble thanks for reacting to Dimash. the sounds cuts out for a second probably because of the uploader of this video which encounters some technical problem. there is the same video uploaded by others in which the sound did not cut out. wish you should have reacted to that, besides the high quality video, as i mentioned previously, the sound in it did not cut out. he also performed this song in his Moscow concert with variations which i prefer (that downward riffs killed me). new subscriber from Italy.

Hi Lana! I am certainly no expert in music other than I know what I like. I am on old school rocker, but Dimash is different from anyone I have ever heard. The first time I heard him was on The Worlds Best singing SOS. He had to have a translator with him. Even though I don't understand the lyrics, I understand the feeling that he portrays through is voice. This is extremely rare at least for me! Sadly there will always be haters in the world. Just keep doing what your doing and delete them. They are not worth your time. This is the second reaction of yours that I have watched and I think you do a very good job! Wish you nothing but the best! Keep it up!
My new hobby is watching vocal coach's and singers mind get blown by Dimash's performance.

This is the festival "New Wave" in Sochi (Russia). There was a competition of young performers and concerts of Russian artists. Dimash acted as a guest at the jubilee concert of the Kazakh group "A-studio".
Baigali Serkebaev - the author of the song - plays the piano here.
It was a phenomenal performance! Superb low notes at the beginning, unreal high notes at the end. And again the oriental tones in the song!
Melismа in the finale together with the last "Дай" - 23 seconds!
Dimash used kazakh singing technique. Saha people ( Russia) uses this technique too.

Sometimes I think trolls not necessarily Dimash dears make rude and negative comments to reflect poorly on Dimash fans out of jealousy. Some reactors won't react to Dimash because of negative attacks by Dimash fans. I think true fans would not do this as they want all reactors to react to Dimash as much as possible.
True. Those trolls already scared away Sam Johnson. It was sad to see an excellent musical analyst to give up on Dimash's reactions because of useless people 🙁

I have seen another video source of the same performance, that does not have the audio glitch. So the glitch is introduced when the owner creates the video.

That ethnic “wailing” is used at funerals in the Middle East, and Dimash added it to honor the original member of the band/singer of this peace because he had been killed (Iin an auto accident). It's a etnic style with very large vibrato and voice reverb and echo.

New subscriber here. Your reactions are just fine in my opinion. Some people are over animated, and some people listen carefully and sit quiet to concentrate on what they are hearing. I think you should do what you think is best and not concern yourself with other people's coaching too much besides taking ideas from them to better your content. Pausing is part of a reaction video. People complain about that, but watch a reaction video instead of the original video which makes no sense to me. A tiny piece of kind advice I would like to put out there, is that if you pause the video, run it back a few seconds when you restart it and try to pause at the end of a phrase which I know is difficult unless you know the song. Other than that I think your reactions are just fine and I watch a lot of reaction videos. Thanks for your efforts and time, have a pleasant day and stay safe.
I agree. Delete rude comments. Such people don't belong in Dimash's circle anyway. There are a few trolls who don't have anything more to do than criticise Dimash and anything connected to him.
You should pause as much as you like. We are here to learn from people or hear their thoughts on what they hear.
Congratulations on your reaction, do not pay attention to people who insult, they were probably abused children, Dimash is a very humble and simple boy, for what i have read and seen he highly appreciates his roots and exposes them when he can in his presentations. He is very respectful of everyone and kind. He was competing in The World´s Best in 2019 but he retired. This caused annoyance in Rupaul but Dimash was more concerned with leaving the little ones that competed with him frustrated and seeing the level and quality that he has, he would very likely have won.
I think it's better for you to watch it with English subtitle to understand his manipulation with voice register and even his voice break [the Cry part] (in Future videos this is my input to better your journey with him in all aspect of his performance))
I believe Lana Humble understand all these very well as she is a trained vocalist since she was 12.....she is no amateur....she is a vocalist herself and from the way she talks.....she knows what she's doing.

Great reaction to one of Dimash's best.
There are rude, self absorbed people in this world that you must inevitably encounter. My attitude, at an older age, is to pity them, then ignore their negativity, so as not to affect my day in the least.
Two other really unique performances that I would recommend, if you haven't seen them, are:
Disturbed's wonderful cover of, The Sound of Silence. Video or Live on Conan O'Brien Show. It should be horrible, but it is elegantly arranged and a master class in vocal connection.
Marcelito Pomoy's cover of, The Prayer, on Wish. Like Dimash, a rare talent that is one in a billion.

Non-singers react, singers / vocalists like you add analysis which is completely expected and that's what a lot of us are here for. Whoever tells you to pause less can have the link to the original song uncut in the description and have a listen as many times as they wish. One suggestion about pausing though: after every pause try to double tap / rewind the video for 5-10 seconds as some parts do escalate pretty quickly and do sound a lot better as a whole. This was a great reaction. The cut in there is on the song. If you want to see it without the cut, check the rehearsal for this song, you also get a better view of him when he is doing the bigger notes.

Those who were rude obviously didn't follow the example Dimash sets for his Dears. Since you added "analyzes" to the title, feel free to pause and discuss any section you like. The overwhelming majority of us Dears will be fine with it, especially if you resume from the point, or just a bit ahead of where you paused it. Please do not worry about pausing too much. We are watching for your reaction and for your explanation based on your knowledge of singing (TBH we also watch to see other people have the same facial expression as us when we first heard Dimash - but I rather suspect I looked like something painted by Edvard Munch).
I think that yodeling part is sort of a Kazakh thing done for mourning. Also that muted part is part of that video. There is a copy somewhere on YT that has that fixed; not sure where to find it, tho.

Don't pay attention to the negative things you did just fine it's a reaction video so you need to react if they don't like it they can go to someone else's video they don't need to be mean hurtful and disrespectful. Don't worry about the folks complaining about pauses and comments - that's the whole point of singers reacting - if they don't like it they should be sticking to the original videos rather than reactors' videos. Some reactors talk qietly over the performances, some add captions over the video - you're still learning the style that suits you. 😎👍
That momentary loss of sound is in the original recording - nothing for you to concern yourself with.
Oh, that last run, you made a passing comment about his breath - he has fantastic breath control - that run was ~24 seconds long and it gave no indication of his running out or straining - and then barely a pause and he just continued like he was breathing normally.
