Unedited footage taken from 1970-1972 during a maternal-child nutrition study in Sui-lin township, Taiwan. The study was directed by biochemist and nutritionist Bacon Chow and supported by U.S. Navy Medical Research Unit 2. The purpose of the study was to investigate the effects of maternal nutrition on the health of offspring.
