Thank you so much. It was such an informative video. Ma'am I am doing my graduation in political science (4th sem) and looking forward to do my masters in IR in USA or UK. But getting admission there doesn't only require your graduation degree but a lot more things. So it will be great if you can inform a little that what things should I start preparing as a 4th semester student for my post graduation? Like internships, personal statement, IELTS or TOEFL, anything to make sure I get selected.
Hai Manya. I've a doubt , can i ask.?
Thank You so much. Helped me a lot!!
Glad it helped!
Thank you ma'am

You have to shortlist various universities. They may have different requirements. Generally the requirements are a few letters of reference, personal statement, language proficiency tests like TOEFL, IELTS etc. and previous exams transcripts. It varies from country to county.

@@breath5948 Hey, on the contrary, I did my graduation in Chemistry... Then I had a change of mind and I switched to IR... There are a lot of places from where you could do IR in India, though taking Pol Sc and then switching to IR is a common practice. You can also do Law, Public Administration and then switch to law as well...
When it comes to career opportunities, you have to research a lot, create a LinkedIn profile, do internships with various think-tanks, be a freelance journalist/writer for news editorials. I'm a part of one of such editorials where we publish articles based on the current affairs and our opinions based on it. You can email me at subhamchoudhury5697@gmail.com and I can try to help you out with how to find internships, but for jobs, I'm still searching it myself though the opportunities are a lot imo.

If after pursuing our masters from abroad, we want to get a job in a foreign country, how do we go about?
Yes, you can. But you have to apply for work visa and have a license. Follow the rules of the country you wish to work with. Each country has different requirnent for work visa.
@@EducationView360 alright, thanks. Would it be at all possible for me to get in touch with Tarana ji?

How do you get jobs after international relations from abroad? Do we get placements or something?
There is no concept of campus placement in most of the foreign universities. It depends from University to university. If you wish to come back to India after your course, then you got to apply to different companies through their portals, linkedin and other such digital media

I have social anxiety But I want to study IR..
Is there someone who can guide me that should I go for it or not
PLZZZZ reply
I request you to please see a therapist for Social anxiety issue. If you love to work alone without many people around, then you must take up careers where there would be you and your work. IR career may want you to meet people.
@@EducationView360 Thanks a million for guidance
Hey, which college would be better for an ma in ir among JNU, SAU and JSIA ?Which would give better placements and more job opportunities ? Please help
You can not really draw a parallel between these three colleges. School of International Studies is the oldest at JNU and it has very good reputation. JSIA and SAU are comparatively new. Also private colleges are much expensive. You must watch my video on private colleges Vs Government colleges. You will get good insights.
