'ABOLISH the UNDEMOCRATIC and LAZY House of Lords' | Starmer's Diane Abbott peerage to 'shut her up'
Вставка

- ‘It’s expensive and undemocratic. I know people in the Lords who sign in, get their £360 a day, have a drink in the bar, then leave. This is unacceptable. [The public] are working very very hard out there, and it needs to be abolished.’
Keir Starmer is giving Diane Abbott MP a peerage, and therefore a seat in the House of Lords in order to 'shut her up' and 'get her out of the way'. Political analysts also say Labour are trying to stuff the House of Lords with Labour appointments in order to make it easier for them to get their legislation through should they win the election.

House of lords then a gold plated pension afterwards, the two rewards of being a failed useless politician.
The Lords was completely corrupted by Blair. As for Abbott, she will go to the Lords and still scream 'racial discrimination' and grift further. .
Brilliant though, give her a peerage then shut the House of Lords down!
Cant find any coverage on Tommy Robinsons 2 tier policing march anywhere on GB News ,did it not happen or something.?
Or has GB News become just another BBC outlet ?
There should be a referendum on abolishing the house of lords
True. They are all paid by the public and we should be voting as to whether or not they are worth keeping.
@@rubberyowen1469 same with Politicians to be honest !
And the House of Commons.
Democracy is dysfunctional in the UK.
I don't think people who want to abolish the House of Lords have thought through what the alternative is. The intention of the House of Lords (as I understand it) is to provide a balanced, longer-term perspective on new legislation. If they're not explicitly political appointees (which many of them are - more so since we abolished hereditary peers) then they can vote independently.
If you have an elected upper House,, when do you hold elections? If it's at the same time as the Commons, you'll end up with one party having a majority in both houses, so legislation can be waved through with little scrutiny; if it's out of sync with the Commons, then the most recent elected house claims they have a democratic mandate - fine if both houses have the same majority pay, a problem if they don't. If the upper House has a different party majority to the Commons, then we could end up with a 'lame duck' Prime Minister - every piece of legislation he wants to pass will just get blocked by the upper House, so nothing much will happen.
@@jamesbarbour8400 We do get to vote for Politicians but no power over the Lords. Let us the People have a vote on the Lords. It is us the Tax Payers that pay them don't you know old bean? Tally ho 🐎🐎🐎
she should be sacked
Sack an MP, parliament has been dissolved genius, typical Gbeebies viewer 😅😅😅😅
Out of touch Kier strikes again.. the hypocrisy of this guy is scary. Tories are the worst but this guy IS NOT the answer
Tories are 2nd worst. The next 5 years will prove this
@@redknight9740 You got that absolutely right. If Starmer and Co take power things can only get worse. I can see even the woke leftist sobbing after a couple of years.
Tories are usually too Far Left for Starmer but he welcomes them hoping to rehabilitate them and set them on the Right track, ...the Far Right track that is.
@redknight9740 I think theybare both as bad as each other to be fair I just think in 2 total different ends. I wouldn't give either my choice but the country is in a terrible position I am scared for what will be left for my kids
@@JonathonBastow You should have voted for Corbyn.
That’s right waste more tax payers money on a useless institution
Yet not one single video on the march yesterday! You know those British folk and their values, who you and your side kicks, Farage, Anderson, Tice etc bang on about endlessly! Controlled opposition in all it's glory!
You mean the piup?
The house of Lords shouldn't exist they're unelected interence for woke Charlie
Both houses are picked, groomed and puppeteered.
What has Diane Abacus done to earn a peerage ?
Not enough Evil you mean?
You just couldn't make this crap up ! Haven't we got enough sleepy has beens in

Vote REFORM
Diane Abbot can hardly stand on two feet let alone stand for anything else
Why surprised have politicians ever told the truth
Sack abbot
And abolis the house of lords
Hypocrisy Hypocrisy Hypocrisy
You'll still vote for the status quo.
hypocrites, hypocrites. I am not in favor of this MP. @@Noel-ji8nm
She should be given the treasurer job she is good with numbers
A bit like her stance on private schools. Not ok until it is?
Abbott is one awful individual. A dinosaur from labour's failed outlaws.
Disgusting...
How much sleazier can politicians get ?
What if there are Jews in the Lords, it will not go down very well, plus the fact there are too many in the House of Lords, the taxpayers are being once again made fools of, why do those in the Lords get away with not paying tax this is abominable what the6 get away with, it as STOP,
I guess they'll give a Damehood to shouty Shola and Magozy (or whatever her name is) a Damehood too, to keep all three friends in mutual company
Diane wants to be a Lordess
Of course she is. Against grammar school but send her son to private school. Not a hypocrite at all. Grifter?
So speaks the nobodies dreaming about being somebody, perhaps, someday, somewhere....
How about, giving us BRITISH citizens a government that actually works..
They won’t close the house of so called lords. She’ll except its a good money spinner.
Emma talking sense there is enough wastes of time in the house of lords already scrap it now
WOMANS rights voices made a deafening silence on the Oct7 massacre. Bunch of hypocrites. She chooses who to support. It is certainly isn’t Jewish woman.
🎉 Get stuff, ed 🎉
@@ClactonCuun TRUTH HURTS.
Send her to a convent ?
Nun of that, we don't want her.😂
In order to abolish the House of Lords the king would have to which would violate the Magna Carta as it only applies to Lords. The people are under them which is why their final vote trumps the House of Commons. Did you all forget?
Just like the Cons proroguing parliament.😂😂
So to avoid a blame game, Starmer's so lame, he's making Corbyn's ex-flame a BAME Dame?
You should have voted for Corbyn.
Surely there's a difference between restructuring and abolishing? The HOL is supposedly holding the HOC to account, who does that if it's abolished?
Holding elected members of Parliament to account is hard enough let alone the unelected House of Lords.
Agree with that
I thought those in the HoL were supposed to have a modicum of intelligence.
Talking bollocks again Diane is standing as a labour candidate🤡🤡🤮🥹
Rank hypocrisy
Vote Reform UK
Reform a limited company won't win GE over Conservative a political party since 1834.
Lords like the master of the UN MDGs. close partner of 'Open Society'?
Diane is NOT well.... sadly she has Parkinson's disease.
Someone remind me what a page is?
Is that house of lords? I thought you couldn't just 'join' that?
During PMQ's "Diversity" was quoted as being our national strength as I remember ???
Labour seems to have far less DEI now, and more white representation ???
I don't understand the logical contradiction ???
Iam sick to death of hearing that diane abbot was the 1st black female m p we know how many more times do they have to tell us
Stop being racist. She has history as Mp
Er a peerage isn't a damehood. A damehood is the female equivalent of a knighthood. Come on.

Pantomime Dame.
The first female black MP.?
Yes.
Lazy reporting !
Rock on Diane
Surely if she goes to the the higher parliament, it'll be the 'Lordy Lords Have Mercy'
