It doesn't matter that this video is from 2016, I can listen to your works no matter how old and still hear the angels' voices. Kudos on an excellent re-release! Thanks for the balm in my soul today, Voces8!
Exquisite! Perfectly balanced, and with all the sensitivity to the meaning and feeling of the text to make this interpretation a religious, as well as an aesthetic treasure. Many thanks for this: so appropriate for these troubled times.
I begin my retreats by allowing the participants to listen to your singing of Adoramus Te and the Deer's Cry. No prayer of mine could inspire the same depth of spirituality and grace. Thank you, thank you.
I don't have a problem; merely questioning the end of their lines. Do you have a problem with that? Am I not allowed to have an opinion?@@davidcatabui2018
it seems that I am listening to your fantastic voices and neglecting my own music wish you would come over to the Nederlands and sing for us what more can I say you've heard it all before BRAVO!!
Is this the same text as that of the famous prayer, "We adore thee, O Christ, and we bless thee, because by thy holy cross, thou hast redeemed the world?"
Adoramus te, Christe, et benedicimus tibi Quia per sanguinem tuum pretiosum redemisti mundum, miserere nobis. We adore Thee, O Christ, and we bless Thee, who by thy precious blood hast redeemed the world. Have mercy on us.
@@peterrandewijk I always say that three times while brushing my teeth to practice my diction! You really stepped up with that Latin, but that is a slightly different prayer from the one I know, which is regularly used in liturgy and devotions. Another versified version in English by Theodore Baker is used as a hymn with music by Theodore Dubois. "Christ, we do all adore Thee, and we do praise Thee forever. For on the holy cross hast Thou the world from sin redeemed," with various repetitions. It's even in Protestant hymnbooks.
@@musiclover148 As it is an old prayer, that probably has been copied and recopied by many monks, it is only natural there'd be slightly different versions of it around. This is a beautiful rendition though. As far as prayer goes, we should pray this every day.

I'd love to hear you wonderful people perform an a capella rendition of Joseph Martin's "The Awakening." It has kept my spirit alive even as I've lost most opportunities to perform choral music since graduating from university.
No, this is Claudio Monteverdi, who lived almost 120 years after Josquin Desprez. If you'd like some recommendations of Josquin's music, I'd be happy to give some. :-)
Such acoustics. If I had motherhood to do all over;
I'd be playing this music to my babies.

Cannot stop listening to this one, specifically. It sounds subtle, exquisite, greatful.
It is my greatest honor to be able to enjoy your complete perfection! Thank you enormously!
Gorgeous sound! My heart fluttered in hearing it.
Excelente interpretación, muy propicia para este Sábado Santo 2021 tan especial. Gracias.

Ein Juwel der Herzenshingabe, Preisgesang aus Himmeln der Andacht, wunderschön, danke

How is it possible that you sound better today...?! This is also perfection, so there must be something beyond perfection...
I question the end of their lines; where is the “s”, the “t” and the “d”? Apart from that - superb!
@@hughmilsom3107only s is relevant here and I'm hearing it. Not sure what your problem is

Wow, beautiful!
When it got to 'Miserere' the Heavens Opened!

I think it is important to write the name of the composer in the title too, right?
Palestrina

Monteverdi.
By Claudio Monteverdi.
It is written on the video at the beginning. Small letters though.
The chord at 0:18 ... yummy scrunchy.

Nice lip syncing to a pre-recorded studio recording.
