Lyrics:
Read all about it if you wanna know… Read all about what they want you to know
EVERYTHING IS GOD ONLINE… and it’s as evil as it gets
This is not another trick: either Follow or Repent
(NO CHOICE) get infected by a vertical event- check the meter, check the watch
Are they ever gonna stop?
Runnin out of daylight, Nighttime’s better
But we know how to handle the truth motherfucker
Scandalous know it all- feedback chamber
Nobody wants the proof- they want a number
WE DON’T DENY WHAT IS WRONG WITH OUR LIVES
WE CAN’T DECIDE WHAT IS LEFT OF OUR RIGHT TO SILENCE OUR REMAINS
…Buried in the back and I’m sick and alive …Hollow as a breath, the further you dive
Oh, How I Missed Your Honesty- You Never Miss With Your Intensity
You’re Gonna Need a New Disguise-Vessels Burst, Veins Release
Just Slide Into The Nearest Lie
All the ligatures are getting tight, like a style
Murder another mouth before the trial
Scalpel and then you scalp em to fucking death
Kills for the other vampires and surrogates
It’s a ploy for attention and evidence
All your fucking monsters are flaws in your common sense
Do the dance while the shovels are breaking dirt
Everybody mind your fuckin business or you get hurt
WE DON’T DENY WHAT IS WRONG WITH OUR LIVES
WE CAN’T DECIDE WHAT IS LEFT OF OUR RIGHT TO SILENCE OUR REMAINS
…Buried in the back and I’m sick and alive …Hollow as a breath, the further you dive
Oh, How I Missed Your Namaste-You Never Miss With Your Integrity
You’re Gonna Need a New Disguise-Vessels Burst, Veins Release
Just Slide Into The Nearest Lie
Read all about it if you wanna know… (Everything Is God Online)
Stoned- like a Beast- on a Chain- Lookin Dead- Feelin Strange- What the Fuck-
I’m Material to sew into the stains- like a catalogue of pain- like a martyr in restraints- I can kill- with a will- and it’s stronger every day- I’m a knife- I’m a gun- I’m a slit- I’m a scar- I’m a scream- I’m a death- I’m a threat- I’m afraid- that you will never understand I’m not the same- you better call the triple 9 I want a face- that you can only recognize I’m afraid- I’m afraid- I’m afraid- I’m afraid…

Its incredible how musicians lately have been going back to their roots. Lots of music lately has had such a 90s vibe and its so cool to have that aura in music again.
You don't spend your teenager life well enough if you didn't listen to Slipknot
Back when music was dangerous
I have to disagree, this feels very far from Slipknot’s roots to me. It’s not that it isn’t good, it’s just very different. The drums might sound generally heavier now, but the parts are less creative and the tone is compressed so hard that it squeezes the human element out of them. And the guitar tone has unfortunately been declining for years. These guitars sound ridiculously generic. That’s not on the band, the riffs still kick ass, that’s 100% on the engineers and producers.
@@Mike-iw2ev I agree -It's missing that rawness & those thick guitar tones

To those wondering what this song is about. It's about how mass media (news and social) distorts the truth so much because it refuses to admit that they're wrong. The example this song uses is how the media treated the Chapletown serial killings (hence the title) by the Yorkshire Ripper, Peter Sutcliffe. The news media at the time reported that Sutcliffe was targeting prostitutes, and because of that, the case was steered in the wrong direction, as Sutcliffe targeted all women, not just prostitutes. The police actually interviewed him multiple times but didn't secure a warrant because they were so dead set on their profile of a 'prostitute killer' which Sutcliffe didn't match. So the case got horrifically bungled and 10 women died because everyone believed the media.
woah new info! Thanks man
I used to live next door to Sutcliffe.
Actually no I didn't - but my wife was convinced it was him.

@@Shankabottomus go audition then you clown
I’ve seen them 5 times, in person dominate arena’s. There is no band in the world this brutal live!
I saw them in 2009, I really want to see them again.
Tomorrow will be my first time ever seeing them live in person with my best buds I know this will be a memory I will treasure forever! 🤘🤘🤘
Lamb of god is a really close 2nd nj 💯🖕🤘
@@therealaustinpowers1967 ud really love the old days when Cory was shooting fireworks out his fireplace at xmas then 😉
@@edwingarcia7476 My first time was 2008. Last time was 2020. It’s a mental atmosphere. They were made for big crowds. Your senses will be insulted! Enjoy it :)
"Ouch corey you are hurting my ears u are too loud" said no one ever
PERFECTTT
A very eyeless intro, brutal riffs, Corey's melodic choruses without forgetting the old synthetic sound
Long live Iowa🤘
Everytime slipknot shows new music, everbody is like "this is the most true/iowa/backtotheroots" music they done since AHIG. Lets be honest, Lech, the negative one, birth of the cruel, solway firth, to name a few, were all 100% brutal.
I love already this one though and i cant wait for the album to come
That's what I've never understood with slipknot fans. They have released many songs post Iowa that are just as heavy, just not entire projects. Plenty songs on AHIG, .5 and WANYK are Iowa levels of heavy.
In my opinion the entire .5 album is super underrated. It has very cool songs.
Somebody tell me Skeptic isn't brutal as well as emotional as fuck.
I don't need Iowa Slipknot, I need Slipknot, because they always deliver fucking great songs like Unsainted, Nero Forte or Orphan.
I fucking love birth of the cruel that song is insane
@@ultronrising8424 yea me too! Everything in it is perfect, like the verses really merge well into the chorus, and also no melodic singing in the chorus wich is rare since Vol3
Gematria 💙
Omg I love this song so much amazing job guys!!!!

Im liking how much Sid got to do. Im liking how technical the song is, comparatively speaking as well. You can actually thoroughly hear the percussion as well as all the Sid/Craig stuff, the mixing is great for those but im def looking forward to hearing this in WAV, it's kind of hard to make out some of the riffs just with how much is going on + the quality
The spotify upload is much higher quality
Love when I can hear sid scratching 🤘
@@daloco6664 check out his closeout Mix on brealtv. He's scratching as dj starscream but i think you would like it.
I honestly think you believe in Aliens too.
@@ShutUpCleanYourMonitor what a strange, baseless and unrelated thing to mention, while being accurate
Finally, I can hear Slipknot in a loop for 5 hours straight again.
Lmao same
Fucking A dude
