Hey CK, great videos, greetings from Canada. Me too, Kuching is my favorite city in n Malaysia, it offers so much. I love Kuching, it transports me back in time, back about 30-40 yrs. I so reminisce the innocent good old times. I also love the people there, so friendly and welcoming. My fav Kuching food has to be the kolo mee, I love 古早味 Goh za bee. I just visited Kuching too. I went back for the 2nd time because of the food. You missed out on Kompia & Sio Bee! Can get both of them in Gala Street. My god they're truly delicious.
I heard the Kuching food festival will be on in July!!!
Ah you should try tomato kueh teow or the kueh chap the next time! Those are staple Kuching food too! I love my tomato noodles so much!

BTW, I visited Trombol Beach for first time near Kpg Telaga Air (Kuching) last Monday. The beach is quite long and wide that even cars can ride on it. But need to pay RM10 for each car (MPV RM15) as it was privately owned. Trust me, I never seen such beautiful scenery there.

"Breakfast of the Gods" - the late Anthony Bordain on Sarawak laksa. its a must breakfast at least once a week for me
I still prefer my Asam Laksa! That's the dish for the devil! LOL
Good job CK. You missed the Belachan beehoon, Sarawak Siu pao, Tomato Mee, Kueh cap, Pork satay and the Rice dumplings (Bak chan), Butter cheese cake and the layer cakes. Maybe next trip.

i might add another place for you to try out, Semedang Kayak, at padawan, they do have alot of intereting place to go too. kayak, fish feeding, caving, local foods, and the ring ladies!

Been many places in Kuching and around and the best place I found for Kolo Mee is outside the city center a little, in Green Road, Sin Lian Shin Kolo Mee. Next best in the little town of Lundu, Teo Chew Cook. Delicious. I think the sand at Damai is imported and had to pay just to get in last time we visited. The cafe in the old couthouse is very nice for a coffee and a cake. Having said this. Everyone has their favourites and everyone has different tastes. Nice vid thanks.

Great video!! One day i shall visit Kuching as well. Small comment- you can find kampua noodles in Sitiawan in West Malaysia....plenty in fact. My wife is foo chow from Sitiawan. Another must visit place in MY.

2. Hor Chien (osyter omelette) and other seafood- kampung cina - Villa restaurant
3. Fish maw/ Gowru soup , Char Ju Mien ( foo chow fried noodle), foo chow fried sausages ( my fav) and Mee Sua - Taman Selamat Beiking Restaurant and Hotel ( nice hotel or Marina Island hotel is great too)
4. Nasi lemak/ roti canai - Food stall kampung Sitiawan - very famous , ask the locals. By the river, best place to enjoy a nice break fast. Also close by there is a quarantine building when the first Chinese immigrants arrived.
5. Kam Pua and Loh Mee or LuLak ( Loh Mee mix laksa) - Kampung Koh market area ( everyday) or ABC kopitiam ( oppposite SMJK Nan Hwa school)
6. Sin Han Siong restaurant ( 100 years old restaurant) for lunch - sweet and sour pork fish - Ayer Tawar ( close to Sitiawan)
7. Jamed Cendol - Indian temple ( close to The Store)
8. Warisan Rojak Manjung ( morning to midday) - Padang Astaka
9. Other things to do- settlement museum, marina island, mangrove area, Tua Pek Kong temple.
10. Buy ikan bilis and dried shrimps ( great quality), Mee Sua and red wine.

Mee Sua is also made from rice. They didn't tell you about the pork satay in Kuching and the Kueh Chap at 3rd Mile Market.

A little bit of correction about our DUN Sarawak building that you mention in the beginning of your video, it is inspired by Bidayuh cultural building called “Baruk, Panggah, Balui or Baluh”. It is a building where we keep our weapon,gongs, human skull and many other cultural stuff inside. It is also known as The Head House because we were once a head hunter in our history. That’s the house where our great² Grandparent’s keep the skull of their enemy.
