Tim you are living the dream of many many guitar players. When I was in college in early 70s and before that in HS. MY GIBSON SG WAS always in my hand. In college I’d go on weekdays to Georgetown and sit in with bands and then go back to my dorm. I almost fluncked out of college. Dad came to the dorm one weekend and didn’t give me an ultimatum but rather a choice. Be a guitar player and see where it takes you he said or finish college and go to work in an office. Made the wrong choice. Finished college went in to the office for 30 years bought loads of guitars. And I was successful at the life I chose but for so many , Tim, you made the choice that would make so many players happy. You are a wonderful person
I appreciate you sharing your story, it’s inspiring! It’s a hard choice to make and everyone has to make one. It’s still not easy now, even though I get to do a lot of cool things, your upside is getting to get your hands on all those amazing instruments! Thanks for the nice compliment and sharing!
Hi Tim! Thanks again for bringing us along on your gig. I thought you sounded great on your extended solo at the end. Cool to see the band continuing to challenge and push your creativity. And that Vegas suite was...Sweet!
Hey Reymond thanks so much for coming along and watching, I appreciate the comment and compliment as well, thank you!!
The additional camera angles from your camera woman were superb. It added a great deal to your product. Band sounds great.
Really appreciate the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
really cool, as always, Tim. Thanks for bringing us along!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it, Happy Holidays!
Your content is incredibly under valued. As a recent Nashville transplant, your vids on what to do have been eye opening and incredibly appreciated. It’s also incredible to see you gigging out often and out of state! I remember playing the casinos in Atlantic City a few years back. Surely wasn’t as nice as the treatment you guys got!! Cheers Tim!
I'm so glad my videos are helping you out - thank you for watching!
Dude this old bass player loves the videos! Looks like it was a great gig. Merry Christmas!
So glad you liked the video, thanks for watching! Merry Christmas!
I used to regularly play casinos in a Top 40 cover band. Mostly in Niagara Falls and surrounding areas in NY. It was nice to be spoiled. The gigs were well payed and it was nice to get rooms, comp'd meals and drinks and a lot of perks that you don't get in the usual club/bar shows. Another upside was that the audiences were always READY to have a good time. Sometimes in the bar shows you have to pull people from their work week gloominess and bring them into the happy vibes. Casino crowds were always "ready to go". Anyways, it was cool to tag along on this trip with ya and see how it is for a national act. Always cool catchin up with your vlogs! Hope y'all have a Merry Christmas!
I love hearing about your experiences! It sounds like you had a great run playing the casinos and a similar experience to mine. I agree with that completely! Great to hear from you and I hope you have a great holiday!
Cool video Tim and great solo at the end!
Thank you so much, I appreciate it!
Tim, love your gig vlogs!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
I always have fun playing casino gigs. They treat you so well! I haven’t played Vegas (yet) but the casinos in the south and midwest are great.
I’m glad you enjoyed the video, and I totally agree about the casino gigs!
Your guitar playing has gotten noticeably better since I first started watching the show. Those unison bands towards the end were really good. I play in a metal band and we don't get quite the crowd participation that you do. People are headbanging but maybe we're playing louder because your audience is screaming all over the place and whistling and you can actually hear it. Lanco is a cool band. I don't normally listen to much country but you guys are fun. Really enjoy these when you film all aspects of a gig. Keep doing what you're doing, I like it and it's working. Peace 👍
I really appreciate the great comment, I’m always trying to get better but as I’m sure you know it’s hard to notice your own progress. I’m glad you’re enjoying it and thank you so much for tagging along!!
Great to see you back with another gig vlog. Enjoy all your content but gig vlogs are my fav
Thanks, glad you enjoy them!
Where I belong sounds great. I'm loving the new music. Chandler's back-up vocals are excellent. I enjoyed the open G riff. A little touch of Country.
Thank you! Had a ton of fun recording that song and really enjoying it live too!
Hey Tim looks like everybody had a good time. I like that drummer solid BEAT.
Glad you enjoyed it! I appreciate you watching.
Hey Tim. Sounding great!! I got to travel w my old band and do the Hollywood casino circuit..Toledo, Pittsburgh, Indiana, Chicago , Columbus, Cleveland, akron. Columbus had the best sound and sound man! The worst was in Akron, all in ears, no stage amps, electronic drums and we were behind the bar about 4ft In the air! Blue chip casino in Michigan city was great as well as hard rock Cafe in New Buffalo MiGM grand in Detroit loves music as well as Motor City Casino there!
Love hearing the other takes! Casinos can be both awesome or the other. Keep on trucking! Thanks for watching and sharing your experience!!
Awesome, Tim!
Thank you Joe!
Sounding great Tim! Re; your 3 minutes over one chord - Listen to some Leslie West. Mountain - Nantucket Sleighride live from The Road Goes ever on Mountain Live. He solos forever on one chord and keeps it interesting. Not country based but you can get the ideas from it.
I will check that out, thanks for the suggestion!
Thanks Tim. Good footage. Yes soloing over one chord can become uncertain when it's for a prolonged period of time. You start running out of ideas for what to do next. You don't want to be repetitive to many times or people start losing interest. Maybe do what Jimmy Page use to do get a double neck Guitar and switch back and fourth between six string and twelve string and maybe use a bow to mesmerize the crowded like did to! lol Anyways I enjoyed it and have a Merry Christmas!
It's always a challenge to keep things interesting for a long solo! Thanks for watching and merry Christmas to you too!
Love the gig vlogs. More!😄
Thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it and appreciate the support! 😄
Love the riffs and guitar tones!
Thank you! Had a lot of fun on this one
Tim, those are some wild ODR settings. Did it get moved, and you just didn’t set it yet? Or do you actually run the gain at like 8oclock and the spectrum dimed. If so, are you using it as a boost instead of overdrive?
That’s how I run it! Even at that drive setting it still has quite a bit of drive on mine, especially with the humbuckers. That’s no doubt my fav settings after playing with it and I don’t move them!
@ awesome man, I’ll have to give it a shot! I run my gain at like 11 o’clock, and my spectrum at like 12-1oclock. But I’m playing a tele. I’ll have to try your settings on my 335 for sure. Keep up the excellent work, homie 🤘
Love your playing!
Thank you!!
DGT, is my favorite of the guitars you play Tim.
Thanks Curtis! I love playing it
I've been on every gig vlog with you. I guess my check is in the mail 🙂
I appreciate you coming along for the journey!! I'm sure its on its way! Haha
Love the DGT
Thank you! It's my number one right now.
Couldn't help but realize that the Strap Lock on the back of your DTG sticks out like a couple inches, is that standard or did you add something there?
This is just standard how this one comes! Not sure, but i didn't do anything special to it!
love the gig Vlogs
I'm glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching and dropping a comment!!
🤘😁🤘
Sounds good room size your fingers or whatever buddy but sounds killer
Thank you!!
Great video tim, thank you, just an observation from the video that was shot from the crowd prospective, the lead singer is down to far in the mix, he should be above the mix, everyone else was spot on, but he was buried, keep making great content.
I don’t disagree with this! This was somewhat a cause of him being sick. He wasn’t able to go 100% but powered through! Thanks for the comment!
Man, the audience was really close. Would have been hard for me to concentrate.
Love when they’re not far away!
Tim, solo was great but should have ended at 27 minute mark on my video - right when they cheered on the end of your run. In my humble opinion as a listener. And last, the end should have come with large bang from the band at the end of your solo at that 27 min mark. Dont get me wrong i enjoy your playing - And, Im sure its NOT easy soloing that long for anyone. Thanks for the video and taking us along. Good Luck in 2025!
I appreciate your feedback, always looking to improve! Thanks for watching!
Blasphemy!!! You cannot allow any singing at the end of the new song solo! Let that harmonic ring with no singing for a few measures and then go into the (what i call) the "switchfoot acoustic breakdown"
😂😂
