I had a sim who spend their entire life trying to catch some angel fish to resurrect their loved one. Her kids grown up and eventually didn’t even really knew their mother. Her parents died, her friends abandoned her (hell yeah dis lady is damn crazy over fishing AND necromancy). One day she decided to move forward and actually married another man (both in age of almost an elder). Very next night after wedding a ghost of her first husband scared her to death.
Since this story I’m just deleting the whole safe if someone important dies, screw that.
Take the tomb and carry it in some remote area. That way, the ghost will find it hard to interact with the livings and eventually fade away.
The Sims everybody.

@@Krissss17 she covered them as an ingredient in ambrosia. If you have one in your inventory, you can go over to Grim after he takes out his tablet but before he reaps and give him the flower, and he’ll bring your dead loved one back.

Maybe you don't know but if your sim is flirty when someone dies, he or she can seduce grim reaper to save life the person who dies :)

One of the most ridiculous Sim death that I ever had :
A Sim starving to death, holding a plate of fresh food in his hand, had plenty of fruits and vegetables in his inventory, a few steps from a counter with 3 plates of 8 servings. Despite all that, he chit-chatted until he died instead of eating.
Another : A vampire dying of Sun exposure in Sulany, because she insisted on sunbathing.

You can also buy pomegranates at the produce stand in city living and sometimes at the grocery/farm stands in cottage living.
I highly recommend James Turner YT’s video entitled “When Everything Goes Wrong in the Sims 4”. It includes many of the same shenanigans trying to bring Sims back to life. And never fails to make me laugh so hard that I cry.
He was sneaky in that one) But I really love that video too.

My sim was a max spellcaster and lived in a haunted apartment. I just turned everyone that haunted me back to life with that spell - dedeathify :D

For a pomegranate you can buy one when trying to purchase gifts, I've fished up deathflowers and found them in rare seed packets -rarely (pun intended). But have not managed to find the fish... but I don't fish often....

And you can also purchase pomegranate in the litlle vegetables and fruits stand in San Myshuno with City Living
I think there is a city living festival (romance?) that has pomegranates in the plant section you can harvest.

For the book, a living sim needs to use the book to "Summon" the sim that died. I think it only works on "Free Range" ghosts.
No, the ghost has to read it, but they have to use “restore life.”

The well giving you an angelfish reminds me of James Turner's Seasons LP. He had like 16 spliced plants trying to grow orchids for several episodes. Then one of the sims checked Patchy's pockets for seeds and pulled out 3 orchids. . . 😆
i remember that happening when the series was still new 😭 he invested so much time and money and i'm pretty sure one of the kids got it from patchy too
If your mood is confident, you can Demand the sim to be spared to Grim or something. Has worked for me :D

-You can use testingcheats to change the growth state and quality of plants.
-You can also use it to turn off the cool down and Force Outcomes on the wishing well

@@mi1kguts After entering the code. Shift click anything to bring up debug menus. So you just shift click your plant and it will give you options. Choose which ever one you like.
How do you turn off cooldown?

I once made a teen girl sim use the well to wish for love, and it gave her a teen ghost boyfriend. I added him to my household and tried and tried and TRIED to bring him to life but the game kept saying no and giving him buffs basically saying that he’d never come back to life 🙃 it was truly tragic

You can also have a Death Flower and give it to the Grim Reaper to save sims!! (note: not in the dead sims inventory. it has to be a family member!)

@@ambroiseerin4449 if memory serves me correctly, your sim has an interaction with pets in the household called "encourage to mate with..." or something similar. You then select the other mate which can be another pet in the household or a nearby stray and then you just wait and see if it was successful

Yes.
You can’t write a book of life for yourself, but the ghost has to be the one to read it. They need to use the restore life interaction, not just read it.
Also, Dedeathify is the bomb. I made my Super Sim’s mom both write the book and become a caster as life insurance. Also she’s a gardener with death flowers and maxed fishing, gardening, cooking, and gourmet cooking. I may have gone overboard. 😉
As I mentioned below, the potions ingredients stall in the magic realm sometimes has angelfish and death flowers.
That whole pack is pretty clutch if you want to resurrect dead Sims, even if you’re not a caster.
@@villyardk Ah, so you've used the Book of Life resurrection recently? Folks were saying it was broken quite a while back, and I was wondering if it had been fixed. It could be that they thought it was broken because of just trying to read it, tho, and not actually choosing the Restore Life interaction. I didn't try it myself.
@@LivinInSim To be honest, I mostly give Grim death flowers, but I did resurrect a child with ambrosia recently. I’m trying to remember whether I’ve used the books or whether they’re just life insurance, lol, but I do know that they need to be used with the “restore life” interaction.
(You can’t Dedeathify a child. I wasn’t thrilled to realize that.)
@@villyardk Ok, thanks for the reply. It might be worth a cheaty Sims Science test run to see if that damn Book works for sure. Not thrilled at all, no, when you put in a few hours of work to find your Sim will still be dead, lol.
@@LivinInSim TBH, if that happened I would just cheat them back alive. My rule is that if it's a bug, I can cheat to get around it.
An easy way to get the angelfish is from the stalls in realm of magic. If you go to the ingredients shop it's one of the things you can sometimes buy. Idk about other ingredients though.
The lots in Sulani with the ocean paradise lot trait are where I have had the best luck finding angel fish

It is random wether or not pleading works. I had a sim plea for someone she hated, figuring it would not work, and maybe burn a “no,” from Grimm, and Grimm let him live. My sim was in an awful mood, and on really bad terms with him. She plead for her mom a week later, as a friends with Grimm (both her, and her mom), and she was not spared.
If you have a rose you can offer that to grim and then there’s a higher chance he’ll let your sim live. If you give him a death flower it’s 100% chance he’ll let your sim live
Once you grow a death flower bush it keeps blooming as long as you care for it, you can get a huge amount of flowers from it if you talk to it alot, my serial killer sim got over 100 of them in a short time, he is also bff with the grim reaper so any sim he kills can be brought back immediately, they hate him but they still live.
You can also give a death flower to the Grim Reaper and it will always bring back a Sim also if you're confident you can demand to bring back the SIM
love how you can go though all that trouble for the death flower OR just be a spellcaster and by it in their world

This one time I tried to make Ambrosia, it took me 4 essence of life just to maxed out the skills. My cowplant garden helps a lot.
i had a halloween save last year with a witch (spellcaster), a mermaid, a vampire, an alien, and a girl dressed as a pirate. the witch's vampire gf burnt in the sun and died, so had her practice magic to bring her back omg it was so romantic

Getting ambrosia seems like a fun challenge, I’m glad it’s possible to actually resurrect Sims in an easily understandable way. I wonder what methods there are in the Sims 3? I’m pretty sure with Supernatural you can learn to craft an Elixir of Life and use that to resurrect Sims but other than that I’m not sure, you can also make some other nifty elixir’s like a curing elixir which fixes zombiesm and a lot of other afflictions.
While eco lifestyle trail I discovered how to skip and make plants fully grown in best quality via a simple testingcheats cheat and clicking at the plants just as u do it at ur Sim to fill their needs. I found the ingredients in the debug. Unfortunately, I know as well the cheats for the skills and the satisfaction points. 😅 I should really post an ambrosia room as well 👩💻 - but thanks for the pure and honest gameplay explanation dear ♥️😅
Usually I play spellcasters, but a while ago I had a sim who was not occult. He found a wife, married her on Christmas morning, and in the evening when Santa came around she got hysterical from autonomous belly laughs and died. I looked up how to make ambrosia and was like "that takes way too long" (I think I was playing short lifespan in that save too) so I decided to make him a spellcaster and learn necrocall and dedeathify. Glad those exist.
Since sims get married untill death do them apart, so he was single but still had a buff on being sad due losing soulmate. And then the game got a bit weird when I rekindled their relationship again, being widow, soulmate, first kiss, boyfriend and all that at the same time, lol. XD
Another save game I had a sim die of old age, plead to grim and got her back... and she died again literally the next morning (of old age again). -__-
To resurrect a Sim, the selected Sim must first master their Writing skill and complete the "Bestselling Author" aspiration. Once they have done this, there is an option to write The Book of Life on the computer. When the book is written, Sims can use the book to "Capture Epic Saga" of a Sim who has not died. After a Sim dies, the owner of the book can use it to "Summon" the Sim who died.
If the book is used on a Sim that is still alive, the book "invigorates" the Sim, by completely filling all their need bars.
I recently created a new sim for cottage living, and when she got married, I had her and her husband go on a honeymoon to the little inn near the waterfall in Henford-On-Bagley, only to have her husband *laugh to death*

Instead of the ambrosia you can just give from a death flower. And that works. As well as you can get all the flowers and fruits you need for ambrosia in seed packets too. You don’t need to splice
You can give the grim reaper a death flower! He’ll bring your sim back to life that way!!
i swear after spending a week in-game trying to get that damn fish, getting the spellcaster to learn the spell was a breeze
i like the idea of traumatizing my sims by killing them, reviving them, killing them, reviving them, that sorta thing. (:
i'm thinking of doing something where i kill them in every way eg: drown them, revive them, burn them, revive them, make them laugh, revive them, embarrass them, revive them, starve them, revive them, ya know.. that stuff... i would love to see lilsimsie do that
I really do wish i could turn off death (ps4 player, therefore, cant get mods). I play this game as an escape from the garbage we live in, the last thing i want is to have my sim die a week after getting engaged. Heartbreaking.

You can get the death flower from the cauldron and from rare plants seeds as well.
How the cauldron works, when you can't learn any more potions for the level you are on, experimenting will give you ingredients for potions. If you have learned all of the potions, you'll get ingredients when you experiment.
Realm of Magic allows spellcasters to learn and use a spell called dedeathify which brings ghosts back to life!

If you have City Living you can sometimes find Pomegranates, Lilies, and Orchids at the Spice Festival or the Romance Festival.
It's also possible to get Orchids from space exploration if you have a rocket.
*Both of these methods also sometimes provide Cowplant Berries and UFO plants for future reference.
having cottage living makes ambrosia so much easier, you can buy the plants needed from the garden shop and i literally got the angelfish from a gift the birds gave my sim. i also got the death flower from a rare seed packet but that's basegame.

With ambrosia you can pull a James Turner and use the scientist career to make a cloning machine and clone the ambrosia once you have one.
True story: my spell caster tried that with Copypasto and her kids ate it as an after-school snack!

You can buy a death flower from the ingredient shop in the Magic Realm. ANYBODY can get there and buy it. Not just magic users. Use the portal in Glimmerbrook to get there if you are not a spell caster.
Watch out for fishing signs that sparkle. You can make better catches there. They change over time. So, look around.
If you have a death flower to offer to the Reaper, pleading for a dying Sim is almost 100% guaranteed to work. So DO cultivate them and make sure that all the Sims in the family always carry at least one.
The dedeathify spell is by far the easiest way to bring any dead Sim back to life.

If you sim is a spellcaster you can buy death flowers and angelfish in the Magic Realm, you can also with some luck get the needed flowers and fruit from fruit stands in San Myshuno or Henford-on-Bagley. There is also potions that your spellcaster can make, Potion of Immortality which stops one of dying of old age and Potion of Prompt Resurrection which brings back a sims immediately if they die.
You can also for the death flower get rare seeds and can possibly be a death flower seed in them, but you have to be level 10 in Garden.

Fun fact you can kinda cheat if you have Realm of Magic and Seasons installed. The vendors in Realm of Magic carry Angelfish so you can always purchase one, I always purchase one on the first day if I play as a spellcaster. The other way is to purchase a gift on the phone or computer and if you scroll through you can purchase a pomegranate, which I always purchase if I'm a gardener. It also saves a ton of time in grafting and fishing.
It's just so much easier as a spellcaster to bring people back to life. I kill and resurrect groups of people all the time lol.
i completely forgot you needed an angelfish for ambrosia and it was hard to do. at the moment my sim loves fishing and it’s a rags to riches so i’ve just been getting so many of them and i’ve sold every single one i caught, they’re neighbours to the spencer kim lewis family and it’s the first fishing spot you’d see on the side i always make them fish at if you were wondering where
If you graft a cutting of your spliced plant onto a fast-growing plant you’ll get the rare stuff quicker.
One time my Sim lived in a haunted apartment, and she was training in magic. So she used the De-Deathify spell on the ghost. Bam! No more haunting. :)
You could give the death flower to the grim reaper while they are about to take your sim, that works too.
This is usually how I complete the grilled cheese aspiration...
A little question: Is it possible to bring Guidry the ghost back to life? I currently am trying to do it with ambrosia in one of my saves
That is a fun goal, I hope it works. I don't see why it wouldn't. The game may replace him with "another" Guidry, tho, because you will have to add him to your Household to get him to actually eat the Ambrosia. The ghosts won't eat it on their own as far as I know, and you can't Call To Meal.
Yes but only through cheats. He can't be resurrected by using any of the "natural" methods in the sims. I tried all the ways, finally gave up and just googled it, found out I wasted so much time for nothing 😅 apparently it's because of the "Guidry" trait. He can't be resurrected and also can't try for baby as long as he has that trait. But removing the trait (through cheats) also automatically turns him into a human sim.
@@ikadean Ah, interesting. Sometimes adding a Sim to the Household removes Traits of this type, but maybe that option doesn't come up for Guidry?

Faster way to the Death Flower, you can totally buy a pomegranate from the garden shop in Henford on Bagley. Also, the fishing spot in Evergreen Harbor...the one that mostly has fencing around it (playable lot super close by), is full of Angelfish. I swear, I caught so many just letting my sims fish for fun. In a different file, I needed ambrosia. Tried Willow Creek and nothing. Showed up there and had one in no time.

If you look at the face on the wishing well, it tells you what the outcome will be.

The angel fish isn’t hard to get from the magic realm fishing pond.
That pond only gives spell-caster relevant fish, so the pool is smaller.
Edit: I WAS WRONG! The pond does give non Spellcaster relevant fish, but it’s still a great place for angel fish. One time I caught 5 angel fish while looking for a damn salmon. 😑

Console lets you input cheats, yes? There's cheats for completing aspiration goals and for modifying skill levels

If you have the Cats and dogs, go to the little pond up in the two empty lots in the corner. I got like five Angelfish with a sim I did a rags to riches with, meaning no to little fishing skill. So that’s another way to get Angelfish :)

You can also bring someone back to life with MC Command Center
Pleading works better is you have a high charisma skill. Also, if you had previously befriended the Reaper, then, it will increase the odds of a successful pleading.
You can also get pomegranate from seeds packs. That's usually how I get them.
Or you could just go to MCCC, and revive sim. Skip the book of life, skip the ambrosia.
I knew about the plead but never the others haha, fun to know. The ambrosia is useful. The spellcaster is also fun to know.
I'm doing a game as a 6-member boyband and their manager and at one of their pop-up concerts my favorite member died from laughter ON STAGE and if pleading didnt work i was 100% ready for these guys to live off of their royalties while they each of the remaining band members split up and tried to find ways to bring him back. Thankfully the grim reaper became friends immediately with his twin brother and brought him back and then stayed to watch them sing "A Hero's Journey" to celebrate his revival. He even tipped them.
you can also bring a sims back to life with a a magician ,,if you are an expert magician in the realm of magic pack there is also a tomb of life you can read. or do a potion of life so yeah you missed that one
Hi! I actually downloaded ambrosia from the gallery like you suggested. Big thank you to the kind people who shared theirs to the gallery. My Sim is a Spellcaster with maxed skills, so I had her do “copypasto” with the ambrosia for a few spares in her inventory. I just wanted to share that with y’all as an alternative idea for everyone so they have emergency backup lol 😂😄💚
Idea, take a sim, clone them with the cloning machine from Get to Work, experiment on the clone until it dies. Clone test subject again and again. Boom, no need to risk having your favorite science sim dying, or getting a bunch of random townies to be your assistant.
Also now you can outright buy the pomagranate

Usually, I just let my sims go when they die. The last time I used dedeathify, it was because the sim died from hysteria on his wedding day. Fortunately, his father was a maxed spellcaster, but it also meant I had to get my sim remarried even though he was dead for not even a minute and the wedding event hadn't even finished!
If you have a Death Flower in your inventory you can basically trade it with Grim to bring the other sim back to life. You can't use Death Flowers on yourself, which apparently you could in TS3. Something in 3 you can't do in 4?? Surely not!!!
