where have you been all my life! I just recently graduated in Spatial development and only now after 5 years have I found your channel. You could have saved me so much time and my drawings and presentations would have looked so much better. Damn I hate my school.
I follow you from a long time ago and everytime you upload a video and i see it, i learn something i didn’t know. Keep up the good work! You’re doing great and i’m sure you’ll get somewhere
I'm a Chinese student preparing the portfolio, it's really hard for me to use VPN to get there, but it is worthwhile to see videos like yours, thx a lot.
@@LearnUpstairs yees would be very great, in my opinion it would make your tutorials more helpful for a big number of people - > especially good graphic tutorials for urban planners and landscape architects are not so popular so you might be one of the first
i like the illustrator tutorials better, only because i'm not really familiar with photoshop because i don't have it. i find i personally use your illustrator vids more. so, i'd say make both.
I’m so grateful for these videos Oliver! You are such a straight to the point teacher 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 please consider creating videos or courses for sketch up modeling
Me too! And I think the best is to use both at the same time. Start in Illustrator and then place the .Ai file linked in Photoshop. Then you can work simultaneously in both 😁
Hey! Wonderful tutorial, really love your work. It would awesome if you could do a video or a series of videos about Illustrator and all an architecture student/architect should know about Illustrator and how to use it. It would be awesome if we could be shown a lot more about Illustrator and working with it, within the bounds of architectural presentation. Thank you! Big up!
Imo there is a lot of channels with mostly photoshop architecture tutorials, your illustrator makes your channel unique so i would advise to stick to Ai more but mby with other topics techniques and styles ;)
Congrats for the 80k subs, you deserve it! Your channel is one of the bests about architectural illustrations on UA-cam by far! Do you think that’s possible for you to do an example of parasitic architecture? It is getting very famous around the world, and I would love to see your take on it. Thank you
i want to learn illustrator but since i have my hand set over Photoshop working on it gets really annoying. If you can, make a basics of illustrator video please
Mixed use is always better for variety and I use almost all adobe programmes. looking to move to blender for 3D so hope to see content on that as well. New follower here and like your videos thanks for sharing!
Hi Johny! Photoshop works with pixels, so it is best to use textures, soft shadows, gradients, adjustment layers, ... And Illustrstor is a vector based software, so it is best to use when you are working with lines, different stroke widths, and so on Also anything done in illustrator can be scale infinitely. You can print in any size and will remain high quality. Photshop you can't do that for example. There are lots of other big differences, but I think this sums it up
Don't just show Photoshop because it's what most of us (including myself) are most familiar with. I learn more from seeing you using software that I don't use as often, and that makes me drop Shop for illustrator and such for some particular tasks, because it's more efficient. If I would not have seen your tut (or someone else's) on how to illustrator, I would've stuck to my inefficient Photoshop routine on such tasks, losing precious time.
Thank you so much for your efforts and tutorials! i have a quick question, why did you delete the original strokes and then re-add it later? why not just keep them?
Hi, Alice here! I'm an architecture student and find your videos really useful. I was wondering if I could contact you for asking some questions about the area. By the way, are you brazilian? I get some vibes by your accent.
Hi, I follow your step by step but somehow the icon creating process didn't go well since I couldn't compound them together. I did download the icon from Flaticon with PNG option, is that right?
thank you for your work...i am one of your new subscribers from few days ago. Till now I've been using photoshop for my projects but now it seems illustrator could be a quite handy too. I am up for both software. Also I am recently interested in small scale animating to explain the concept or diagram. like the part you did in the beginning of the video putting the box in place by hand. can you teach us how to do that?
Clica nele pra tirar o fill. Fica difícil explicar por texto, mas qualquer coisa vc consegue achar no google procurando por "how to remove fill in Adobe Illustrator" Espero que ajude! 😁
I tried exporting from Rhino as a PDF and it did not open correctly. You had fills and lines when exporting but I just had lines and it did not look right. Do you know how to export from rhino?
Hi Ksenija! I use the pathfinder tab to do these shape modifications. Make sure to have the icon above the circle, then select both and chose Subtract from the pathfinder tab. That should work correctly! Oh and make sure to have the icon as a vector shape and not image. When downloading the icon from the website, make sure that it is a .svg file and not an image file (like jpg or png), otherwise, it won't work. Cheers
That looks awesome thank you for the tutorial. One question, which software do you use for screen capture and for adding the arrows and call out rectangles?
I'm not really a Revit user, sorry. I know it works in Archicad and should work in Revit. But theoretically, if you have your view in black and white and export as PDF, it has to work
Hi Oliver, I cant drag and drop the pdf, my Photoshop doesnt allows drop it and I dunno whats going on. I’m paused on your video in 2:50, I hope you help me please!
Please do more videos using illustrator. I learned a bunch of things watching this video and you really show how useful illustrator is 👍
