Wow, so many devotees. Very nice.
Soooo many!
The Swastika is very important in the Hindu religion it’s been around hundreds of years
But what is the meaning?
Yeah, almost 3000 years.
@@MichelePonte it’s used in the Festival of Lights which is Diwali that takes place in October or November not sure of its symbolic meaning
Fantastic tour of Haridwar! The footage from the Aarti ceremony was really amazing🙂👍
@Adventures of Z Z That's so kind of you🙂 You have an amazing way of showing India too!
Dziękuje bardzo Jan 🙂🙏
Good to see the Ganges through your lens. Super amazing experience!
Thanks a lot African Sister
Good to know, you know so much about haridwar ❤️😊
Thank you, Saachi 🙂
Indian loved jewelry they're beautiful
Excellent video! Your content and coverage in this city was amazing. I’ve no doubt the majority of your viewers have never seen anything like this before or even imagined the significance and importance of the Ganges (Ganga) river! I’ll be honest and say I’ve not seen anything that would entice me to visit India, but your videos and educational narrations have been outstanding, to say the very least. I’m happy to see you were smart enough to avoid swimming in the river itself. You’ve already had your share of medical issues during your journey’s over the past! As for washing away your sins, I’d say hold onto them for now. When you get back to Italy or Poland, there you can enter the Roman church, and if the ceiling does not crack when you enter, I’d say you’re good to go! 🏆🏆🏆. I’ll give you one of these too, just to be safe: ✝️
Ahahha, ok, I’ll hold into my sins for now 😅
Even if you won’t come here, I always hope to show you something interesting and different.
Thanks for the constant support, Randy!
💯😳😄

For the few who don't know, that is a bengali fig tree, a.k.a. banyan. It's a sacred plant, believed to serve as Krishna's restplace.

Incredible large street market along the river. I wouldn't drink the water from the river. Thanks for sharing the Ganga Aarti ceremony! I would be watching out for cows, cars, motorbikes, & crazy people as I walked about. :-)
Yes, here you always have to keep your eyes open!
@@MichelePonte No S^&T
As long as there's some nice and cold ice in it, right?
@@mr.critic :-)
Nobody drinks water from that river , it's a sacred m holy water people only take a dip 3 times in that river , according to ritual.
Ganga aarti is very nice 👌
Jai Ganga Maiya ki

I hope I’ll be able to tell such stories. Thank you so much!
Michele il grande :-)
Wow! Looks like an amazing experience Michele!
It was something I wasn’t imagining, so many people!
Loved the style of this video, it was really interesting to learn about, all of the intriguing things about that town, and it’s surrounding area.
Thanks a lot Bradbury
The river's name is Ganga. The Britishers for some weird reason started calling it Ganges and spread that word around.
In English language is Ganges.
My city is in Italy is Roma, but in English is Rome, in Polish Ryzm
Chinese say, Luómǎ. For some very weird, unclever reason.
@@MichelePonte In India, the river's name is written Ganga even in English. It is only the foreigners who write it as Ganges. If Italy decides to publicize the name 'Roma' in all official English texts, the world would slowly start calling it Roma.
It is similar to how we chucked British name Bombay and opted for Mumbai, Calcutta became Kolkatta etc.. Now you cant say that in English, it is Bombay.
@@mr.critic I am okay if they call it something else in their local language but at the global level, it should be called by its original correct name, unless its very difficult on the tongue.
Beautiful to see this
Grazie Malta 🙂
I guess I saw you today! Did you visited rishikesh, that river crossing bridge called Ram jhula?
Next time don't be shy, say hi.
@AutoYouth, no I had to go to Amritsar
Hi you must visit " Lakshdweep island like maldeev hidden gem of India 🇮🇳♥️

Very beautiful Haridwar travel vlogging Bhai 👌
Bahut bahut achha laga😊🙏
Brother maybe you don't know but the biggest event of haridwar held in the month of July,August. You should have come then. You will be leaved completely awestruck. You will not believe your eyes after seeing that.
My grandfather has donated rooms for pilgrims its all free but not now nothing is free now, when I was in school I went to Haridwar a few times and stayed at a place donated by my grandfather,Haridwar was a beautiful place then but now its crazy I would never go there now
I see… unfortunately all over the world, where there are pilgrims people try to make as much money as possible
@@MichelePonte I dont know foreigners all want to see Varanasi its the most religious place in India on the banks of the Ganges you will be shocked to see what happens there another place I would avoid but foreigners are fascinated by the place you have to see it to understand why foreigners want to see the place
Bravo Michele
Grazie Giuseppe
Bro !for your kind information it is not river which causes disease but it is human being who is responsible for polluting any rivers. Sad part is that initial central government ( headed by family whose mother is from italy) had no focus on cleaning the river but present government is trying its best to make our holy river as clean as it was earlier.
Wow 😊
Very interesting story, bathing in the Ganges river. The cows running in the streets.
Thanks Yvonne 🙂
People don't bathe in it , they just take a dip in it ,as a part of their ritual .
That boy who was asking for money for no reason . 😂....was saying in hindi that to see the boy who was climbing up to the bridge with the help of chain will cost money 😅.......i think he was another scammer..whom u met 😅
Ahahhah, wow, best scam ever 😅

Hi Michele !
I am a youtuber and lives in Delhi, Gurgaon.
We can make the vlog together and do some collaboration if you are still in India. Will have lot of fun and explore some good places 😃😊
Ganga river used to be polluted ,but now 80%of the river has been cleaned , people don't bathe there , they just take a dip 3 times in a river before performing ritual or ceremony according to Hindu traditions, as this is tradition practiced among several years.
An Indian politician ended up in the hospital after drinking water from a polluted holy river to show it was safe www.businessinsider.in/international/news/an-indian-politician-ended-up-in-the-hospital-after-drinking-water-from-a-polluted-holy-river-to-show-it-was-safe/articleshow/93056072.cms
@@MichelePonte don't know how much true is that news , not all people are stupid like him , I've personally visited there ,none of people do those things, they have proper water connection n taps in their homes , that politician in oder to gain some votes did a publicity stunt n might have ended in hospital , not all are like him . On the other hand his officials had denied that claim said there was no connection between him visiting hospital n drinking that water he went their for his routine check up , according to other media report , don't believe our media houses .
Hey bro 😁 we just meet today at 15:00 in city we called muradnagar on restaurant.. just want to advice you be aware from any kind of fraud and don’t trust anyone here easily.
Thanks a lot for the suggestions, we are still roaming around
If you have enough time then we all can visit ganga canel which is aprox 1km from here😊
Thanks, we have now left
@@MichelePonte ok be safe . And whenever you come back. Then connect with me . We will explore more things here.
"You will get so many diseases bathing at this river"
WRONG!
You will get no diseases bathing at this river in Haridwar.
Ganga is unfortunately very polluted river but not at this point. In Haridwar it just comes down from Hills to plains still unpolluted.
The toilet flush of 200.000 locals and 100.000 tourists every day reaches the river in Haridwar.
I would take a bath only before Rishikesh
@@MichelePonte okay may be 🥴🥴🥴
@@MichelePonte Did you go up, to any Himalayan town, in this part of the country? are you still in Delhi? I live in Delhi.
I went to both Sikkim and Kashmir, very beautiful areas. From Kashmir I still have to publish videos, from Sikkim I published a few
Come and visit Pakistan 🇵🇰
One day!
May Jesus Christ save them for Heaven's sake.
It's Ganga not Ganges ! Please don't Anglecize everything.
In English Ganges in Hindi in Ganga
@@MichelePonte That's where westerners need to stop tongue twisting our names. The Brits did not want to pronounce Ganga so they changed it to Ganges. Mumbai was changed to Bombay, Chennai was changed to Madras etc. A long list of vilifying Indian names by the Brits.
It's Ganga and please don't abuse the name by giving it British names.
Roma, is called Rome in English and it’s the capital of Italy instead of Italia.
Which is Ryżm in Polish language, which is something different in other languages.
It has nothing to do with colonization. Every language changes names depending on the sounds and letters they have.
Avoid religious places in India….as an Indian from the northeast we try to avoid religious places because of higher scam rates than other Indian cities and most of the religious cities in india are unhygienic. Try to visit Himachal Pradesh, Karela or North-East India for better experience.
Not all religious places are unhygienic , rishikesh is the most beautiful place n it is in north east india , this place holds immense value .
THIS WHY IM SO LUCKY LIVE IN INDIA 🤗🇮🇳 THE CLEANEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD , WE NEVER DO SCAM ! AND WE ALWAYS GIVE RESPECT TO ALL MUSLIMA AND WOMEN THEY CAN WALK SAFELY ALONE AT NIGHT AND WE HAVE CLEAN FOOD AND TOILET EVERYWHERE 🇮🇳🤗🚽, I KNOW MANY POOR PEOPLE JEALOUS WITH SUPER RICH INDIA 🤗🇮🇳🤗🇮🇳🤗🇮🇳🤗
I recognize your profile picture 🤣
Michele you are so funny 😂 you said you couldn’t wash your sins because you have accumulated so many sins. What kind of sins are you committing my brother? 😝
You could have dipped your self in that famous Ganges river. It reminded me of school way back in the day.
Thank you for sharing. I really appreciate
I’m innocent until proven guilty 😇
The river is too polluted, I would never dip in it
@@MichelePonte the river is always cleaned , people don't bathe there , they just take a dip ,as it meant to be a holy n sacred river in hindu tradition.
