I appreciate your teachings as an excommunicated catholic at the age of 12. Then “finding Jesus “ at 18. Not really understanding what I was being told, definitely feeling love for him! A lot happened between 18 and 33, as with all of us.
When I was 33 I really prayed to God for understanding for who he was. My life changed quickly! , spiritually.
I had panic attacks for 3 weeks when I attended church and had to leave. I was only being taught about Paul. I knew Paul was obviously not following Jesus teachings. Paul said basically to change your persona to preach to different beliefs!
The Jesus I knew stayed true.
I’m not saying I don’t believe in Jesus, I have come to the understanding that he is not our savior. A master teacher of who we are in God. I love John 17.
I’ll probably never become a Hebrew/Jew, my blood is..
Also when I really opened my heart to seeking truth of God, I was given visions. One was , I saw a sun with wings!
I had no idea what this meant. I searched and found Malachi!
    I was humbled!
I don’t know if Malachi is the last book of Torah as it is in Old Testament?

"This is what he said, 'The fourth beast (Rome): There will be a fourth kingdom on the earth which will be different from all the kingdoms; it will devour the entire earth, and trample and crumble it. And the ten horns: From that kingdom ten kings (Augustus, Tiberius, Caligula, Claudius, Nero, Galba, Otho, Aulus Vitellius, Vespasian, Titus) will arise, and another one will rise up after these, who will be different from the former ones (Christianity, the little horn, a remnant of the Roman Empire), and he will humble three kings (Trinity). He will speak words against the Most High, and he will exhaust the holy supreme ones, and he will plan to ALTER the season and the law; they will be given over into his hands until a time, and times, and half a time. But judgment will be set, and they will take away his dominion to be annihilated and to be destroyed completely. And the kingship, the dominion and the grandeur of the kingdoms under all the heavens will be given to the holy supreme nation (Israel). Its kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all the rulers will serve and obey it.'"

It seems to me that the usage of son of man in the new testament is not consistent with its usage in the old testament, and there is no way to reconcile this. This indicates that whoever wrote the new testament misunderstood and was ignorant of this term.
Christians do not dispute the fact that in Ezekiel 2:1, when God addresses Ezekiel as "son of man", its to emphasize his humanity and mortality in contrast to the divine presence and authority of God, rather than implying he is a messianic or divine figure. Note that Jesus doesnt describe himself "like a son of man" rather "the son of man"
      Numbers 23:19 KJV
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Regarding daniel 7:13 when it says "one like a son of man", This is a description of a prophetic vision where forms and figures are not completely clear. In verse 6, the prophet sees a creature "like a leopard," but with four wings on its back. There is an intentional ambiguity in this sort of ecstatic revelation. The figure in verse 13 has a form "like a human," distinguishing them form the others who had forms "like" this or that marvelous beast.
They see a person, they think, but it's difficult to make out.
And finally, most importantly, even if you are completely right and son of man = messiah, Jesus did not fulfill Daniel because he didnt come from the clouds, rather on a donkey. So when it says in Zechariah 9:9 that messiah will arrive riding a donkey, it says in the same passage (literally next sentence) that he will be bringing worldwide peace. Hence Jesus is disqualified here, there is no room for debate.

In Aramaic and Hebrew the designation son of man merely means HUMAN, but because Gentiles thought that, since it was being associated with Jesus, it had to mean something special and great, so from that point he's "THE" son of man--- the same way XTY misappropriated, then misinterpreted,THE messiah---not realizing that they were corrupting /changing/perverting its prior Jewish meaning substantially.

Rabbi Singer, how could I purchase the Aramaic Scriptures? I have been looking through it for a while now. I am studying TaNak as well as Torah, separate, and the Christian bible. I was so ignorant before I felt I needed to learn, like you have said so many times to read, read the scriptures to find out the truth. I have had some revelations in my own life and have been deceived by growing up as a Catholic, by force, because my ancestors were Sephardic from Spain, France, and Austria from both of my parents. I have suffered enough trying to serve Hashem, blessed is He, and I believe that when I asked him with all my heart and pain in my soul that I wanted to know him better and know His statutes. He heard my cry and answer me in many ways now over the years. I also believe that Hashem, blessed is He, as he promised is calling his children from all over the world. I have noticed some of those Sephardim around me, who are studying the Scriptures are beginning to realize where they come from and are returning to their true Eternal G-d. I will be contacting you by email as soon as I can. My prayer is for my people around the world. B"H

Rut we are told to study the weekly torah portion twice from the original hebrew and once with the aramai c trabslation onkeles. Also an opinion one can do rashi too.
Point is to get a small onleles added is standard easy. Or you could buy something more dedicated to onkeles as on not just a very small onkeles along side the hebrew text.
Now I haven't studied alpt of onkeles and wil doore one day. But from memory our tradition is he was a convert to judaism and that his uncle was Titus. As in the guy from the roman empire 2nd temple destruction.
Now i did notice first line of bereishit /genesis with onkeles. I noted a difference in name of G-d. So apparently he was a great translator, very respected by oirbgreat sages but he soecifucallyxaltered anything that would give you the wrong idea on G-d like any claims G-d had a such and such body but just has a physical body. So less variation in ag-d's name and more differen e oicked yo on after learning

Ma means 'what?' - Magog means 'what roof?'... the battle will be 'spiritual' as part of the 'lesser' cycle, and 'greater' cycle will result in destruction, a 'reset' of creation - end time and of the age, and then start over. Sorry for this 'news' - but it is to be taken as a warning. Shalom.

One question: why is "Gog" spelled [in Hebrew] G-W-G, i.e. Gimel-Waw-Gimel, but the word for "roof" is just spelled G-G, i.e. Gimel-Gimel? In the HEBREW AND CHALDEE LEXICON (1957) that I have, the name Gog [G-W-G] is defined as 1) prince of the land of Magog [Ez. 38, 2], and 2) son of Shemaiah [1 Ch. 5, 4], and derived "perhaps from Ga)aH [Gimel-Aleph-He] "to be high", redupl. Gi)Ge) [Gimel-Aleph-Gimel-Aleph] perh. "to be gigantic"; akin to MaGoWG, )aGaG, and perhaps to [Gk.] gigas, Ogyges, Gyges, and Kaukasos." The word spelled G-G [i.e. Gimel+qamets+Gimel] is defined as "roof" or "covering" [Josh. 2, 6, 8]; fig. "cover" of altar, i.e. the top [Ex. 30, 3] . . . but, according to the lexicon, it isn't affiliated with the aforementioned "Gog" except in that it might also be derived from Ga)aH, "to be high".
It seems to me that "Gog" is probably a reference to a "giant" -- as the reduplicated form [Gi)Ge)] "to be gigantic" is like the Greek reduplicated GiGantes [doubling up the G consonant at the word's beginning], like the reduplicated TiTanes [the T consonant doubled up].
    Thoughts?

    • @nutzhazel

What is the definition of Magog in Hebrew?

    • @patricktilton5377
      @patricktilton5377 3 роки тому +1

According to my copy of the HEBREW-CHALDEE LEXICON, Magog [MaGoWG] is 1) a masculine proper name [pr. n. m.] found in Genesis 10:2 [i.e. in the list of the sons of Japheth, along with Gomer, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras]; and 2) a northern people, whose king is named Gog [GoWG] (Ezekiel 38:2); Josephus understands the Scythians (Antiquities 1.6.1).
The sense I get from passages like Ezekiel 38ff about "Magog" is that that name refers to the people who were descended from Magog son of Japheth, and "Gog" is the name of whoever shall happen to be the king over such people: 'Gog' is like 'Caesar' -- a title that was originally applied to the (first) king of Magog (like Julius Caesar was emperor over the Roman Empire), and then applied to all subsequent kings -- so that Augustus/Octavian was 'Caesar' after Julius, Tiberius became the 3rd Caesar, then Caligula became the 4th Caesar, etc.
Thus, Ezekiel's prophecy against "Gog, of the land of Magog" would apply to some future Ruler over those lands situated north of Israel -- the very lands into which the Assyrians had forcibly evicted the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel. Ezekiel's prophecy refers to that punishment of the Israelites before assuring that He would regather His people from those lands of their exile, after those northern hordes had been stirred up to invade the land of Israel and subsequently been wiped out by God. Then the descendants of the exiled Israelites would be regathered to their ancestral lands, having been punished by God for their transgressions.
Ezekiel doesn't say how many years will go by from the time of the Exile of the Israelites until they are regathered in their lands. I'm sure that there are many modern Israelis who believe that the creation of the modern state of Israel constitutes the 'fulfillment' of this prophecy of the Regathering of Israel after a long exile, but the Diaspora of the Jews that began after the Romans crushed the Jewish rebellion c. 70 CE is a significantly different event than the Assyrian victory over the 10 Tribes of Israel (and their subsequent forced exile into the lands north of Israel).
By not stating that there would be X number of years from the start of the Exile until the Regathering, Ezekiel was wise -- his readers could maintain the Hope that one day (however many years that might be) their people would be able to return to the territories that their god had promised to the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob . . . after a suitable period of chastisement had gone by, of course.

ponder this if this yeshua is the messiah, only son of god. the first born of god a revelation are we not faithful or are we doubtful, that god can make us all children of god. meaning, why doubt or argue that there is only 1 god? true there is! but the father. but how come no one can accept the magnificent revelation of an eternal destiny originating from ben of adam? shall we remain earthlybound? or shall we trust in this son of god? for an eternal home with the father. co-inheritors that is. we will become children of god too! inummerable sons of god, abba father in heaven. don't boxed yourselves in the 1+1 = 2 and 1+1+1 = 3 mathematics is not only about simple additions. 1x1 = 1 1x1x1 = 1 1/1 = 1 1/1/1 = 1 and square root of one is 1. 1 raised to the power of 1 is also 1. israelites/jews/hebrews knows best in this entire earth being the only family he know on earth. have perspective also of the new testaments pointing on the scriptures meaning it values the prophets, moses, david, samuel, isaiah, daniel, ezekiel. so why separate yourself only to your ownselves? you know very well gentiles are also partakers in god's kingdom. prophecies are not solely to israel/jews/hebrews. the just shall live by faith, and god gives grace to the humble. he also doesn't chose the wisest of the earth! he is after the least amongst us to show his mighty works, power and spirit. may god always have mercy to the original olive tree. amen. so shall it be. im not from a prophet lineage, but god's message are for you israel/jews/hebrews. have faitg in the son of man he will return with the cloud! let not the prophecy of mourning of all the tribes come upon you all be it not. the son of man doesnt one anyone to perish but to seek and save which was lost!

Daniel 7:13-14, is talking about Jesus Christ.
He was given dominion and glory and the kingdom before the ancient of days sent him here on earth, he uses the clouds, when ever he could come to talk to Moses he could come on the clouds.
Jesus Christ said, that his coming back he will come on the clouds of the heaven, and every eye shall see him.
Messiah is Jesus Christ Daniel 9:24 is talking about him, he came to bring an end to iniquity and sins and he brought righteousness into the world.
He was the most holy to be anointed because he was a sin offering.
According to Leviticus chapter 6:25, sin offering is the most holy.
Jesus Christ was sent by the ancient of days as a sacrifice for the sin offering.
That is why Daniel 9:26, says, Messiah shall be cut off.
Because he had to be crucified for the sins of the world to bring an end to sin.
He is the Lord our righteousness Jeremiah 23:6

cried out to the Son of David for help. The titles of honor they gave Him declared their faith in Him. Calling Him “Lord” expressed their sense of His deity, dominion, and power, and calling Him “Son of David,” expressed their faith that He was the Messiah.
The Pharisees understood exactly what the people meant when they called Jesus “Son of David.” But, unlike those who cried out in faith, the Pharisees were so blinded by their own pride that they couldn’t see what the blind beggars could see-that here was the Messiah they had supposedly been waiting for all their lives. They hated Jesus because He wouldn’t give them the honor they thought they deserved, so when they heard the people hailing Jesus as the Savior, they became enraged (Matthew 21:15) and plotted to destroy Him (Luke 19:47).
Jesus further confounded the scribes and Pharisees by asking them to explain the meaning of this very title: how could it be that the Messiah is the son of David when David himself refers to Him as “my Lord” (Mark 12:35-37; cf. Psalm 110:1)? The teachers of the Law couldn’t answer the question. Jesus thereby exposed the Jewish leaders’ ineptitude as teachers and their ignorance of what the Old Testament taught as to the true nature of the Messiah, further alienating them from Him.
Jesus’ point in asking the question of Mark 12:35 was that the Messiah is more than the physical son of David. If He is David’s Lord, He must be greater than David. As Jesus says in Revelation 22:16, “I am the Root and the Offspring of David.” That is, He is both the Creator of David and the Descendant of David. Only the Son of God made flesh could say that.

There was a big time skip in the explanation from discussing this passage to discussing Gog/Magog and last days.
Daniel 7 gives more detail about Nebuchadnezzar's dream in Daniel 2 (same 4 empires - Babylonian, Greek, Medo-Persian, Roman). Daniel 2:44 says " And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed..." Meaning God's kingdom would succeed and eliminate the Roman Empire which was the last empire mentioned. Similar language is used in Daniel 7:18.
Daniel 7 gave more detail where the 10 toes of Daniel 2 are now seen as horns. Then one horn came up and supplanted 3 horns. This is the "Year of Four Emperors" where Vespasian became ruler in the same year that 3 different Roman Emperors held the throne. Vespasian was the Emperor who, along with his son Titus, destroyed the temple in 70 AD. The two passages line up with the first coming of Christ rather than the second coming.

I don't want to die in some cataclysmic world wide death fight. I live a simple life, with lots of books and nature all around me. I live by a do no harm and come to the defense of anyone who is being bullied or attacked for exercising their right to live as they choose. Im way too old to be an effective "warrior" for any side in this looming worldwide death festival. What will happen to us? 😟 i just dont understand, what God needs this to happen? Why with unlimited power and grace and love for all its creations, doesn't God just flip a switch in the minds of the hate mongers and suddenly they "get it" and just stop the death before it happens? I dont want to die like that Rabbi. I just want my little tiny life, in this little tiny moment of time, to remain unknown and unnoticed, just being the best version of me i can be on a daily basis, until i finally breathe my last living breathe and then just pass on like millions of humans a year, I just want to pass on someday. What hope is there for me and my kind? Thank you, Respectfully. Dave g

+Dariusz Zubrowski How could Jesus be the Son of David from David's DNA? Christians claim that Jesus was born of a virgin, therefore he had no DNA from David - he wasn't descended from David. You cannot have it both ways.

    • @JStaceyhib
      @JStaceyhib 8 років тому

+Dariusz Zubrowski : Dariusz, thanks for your comment, but you are going round in a circle. If Jesus was born of a virgin, he could not be a descendant of David. If on the other hand he was fathered by Joseph then he could be a descendant of David, but he would not be a direct 'son of God' in the way in which Christian dogma demands. Many humans were referred to as 'sons of God' in the Tanack, e.g. KIngs and Prophets. If you pray the Lord's prayer - "Our Father in Heaven ..." then you are declaring yourself to be God's son - he is your Heavenly Father". That Jesus was the actual son of God through God specifically divinely fertilizing Mary, making Jesus part of God and His Spirit by way of the doctrine of the Trinity is directly against God's word, time and time again, that there is no other God but Yahweh and no-one will ever share His glory. No-one!

    • @JStaceyhib
      @JStaceyhib 8 років тому

+Dariusz Zubrowski : Are you aying hat Mary wasn't pregnant? Both Mathhew's Gospel (1:18) and Luke's Gospel (1:31) states that she was. The Bible also indicates that Jesus wasn't sinless. John the Baptist baptised for the remission of sins (Mark 1:4 and Luke 3:3) - that's what his baptism was expressly for - and Jesus was baptised so he must have needed his sins remitted. In addition - you believe that Jesus was the Messiah. Well, if you read Ezekial 45:22) you will see that at the end times the Messiah will offer a bull, in the Temple, as a sacrifice for HIS OWN sins and for the sins of all the people - so, if the Messiah is Jesus (as Christians assert) then God, through the prophet Ezekiel, clearly indicates that Jesus is not sinless! Sorry, but there it is!

    • @JStaceyhib
      @JStaceyhib 8 років тому +1

+Dariusz Zubrowski : I cannot find any words of Jesus anywhere in the Gospels which indicates that the Jews would permanently lose the Holy Land, let alone that they would lose it because the Romans crucified Jesus. You should carefully read Leviticus 26: 18-42 which speaks of the first exile of the Jews at the conquest of Israel by Nebuchadnazzar in the Jewish year 3338 due to Israel's unrighteousness and then continues for several 490 year periods until at last (at the end times) God will restore them to the promised land and the Messianic age will begin and at that time every nation will know God and every gentile will ask a Jew to take them to Him. No mention whatsoever of a crucified Christ or a second coming

    • @JStaceyhib
      @JStaceyhib 8 років тому

+Dariusz Zubrowski You are absolutely right! But, beware - do not followers of Jesus also sin and sin again? They rely on the church doctrine of forgiveness through the blood of Jesus and yet, because of the teachings of Paul that the Law has been done away with, they sin continually because they deny that salvation comes through being righteous in God's sight through obedience to Him in keeping His Laws and Commandments. How can anyone claim that they love God when they continually disobey Him? The Disciple John wrote (1John 2-5): "If we obey God's commandments then we are sure that we know Him. If someone claims that they know Him, but does not obey his commands, such a person is a liar and there is no truth in him. But whoever obeys His word is the one whose love for God has really been made perfect - this is how we can be sure that we are in union with God. John also gives the only definition of sin found in the Bible - (1 John 3: 4) "Whoever sins is guilty of breaking God's law, because sin is a breaking of the law"
We must get back to Jesus and stop relying on Chruch Doctrine for our salvation. If you would like, I will gladly send you (and anyone else reading this) an e-copy of my published book "Let's Get back to Jesus - Whether the Christian Paradigm that Jesus was the Literal End to the Torah (Law) is a Correct Interpretation of the Old and New Testament Writings". What is implied in the term of Son of Man, as pertaining to Jesus. is that the is the only begotten Son of God. Which has two aspects (1) before there was creation, God came forth from Himself, in form so that creation would be able to perceive Him, hence the relationship Father and Son metaphor (2) the only human to be God come in the flesh, that is to say God in form being the Lord in heaven which them there can perceive God, entered this world to take on the form of man, and subject to the temptation, limitations, and suffering of human flesh, but being not of Adam's seed so as to without the sin nature the rest of us have inherited.
Daniel 7 is Jesus arriving in heaven following his ascend to heaven in Acts 1 as he departed this world and the disciples there on the Mt. of Olives. Which he will return to, and His standing on the Mt. of Olives will split it in half, in Zechariah 14.

So the Antichrist is not something that Jews try to understand the villians of the end times in the Tanach in that terms of the person who becomes the Antichrist, then the man of sin, then the beast of Revelation - none of which are in those terms in the Tanach.
I will agree with you that when Judaism's so called "real messiah" shows up it will be awesome that as you say Christians will be eating their words....and renouncing Christianity.
But guess what? 2000 years ago, the arrival of that person, Judaism's messiah, and the subsequent falling away by Christians from Christianity was in a letter written by Paul to the thessalonians., 2thessalonians2:3-4, as one of the two signs that must take place before the Day of the Lord. Which the Day of the Lord is in the Tanach, as a dark and foreboding day of trouble, Jacob's trouble as well.
Why, because of massive error in having rejected Jesus to embrace another as the messiah - the forthcoming Antichrist. So the persons who are going to be in shock, 3 years 4 months after embracing the person as messiah, and will be mortified, will be the Jews, when their embraced messiah goes into the temple and claims to be God. That's when Jews as a whole are.going to embrace Jesus.
So what you write is no big news. We Christians know that the great falling away from Christianity is coming. Judaism's gloat though in that day will become Judaism's shame. But Jews embracing Jesus after all those things take place will remove their shame.
      .

"like the Son of Man" means in the form of a man - but in a glorified state. On the Mt. of Transfiguration, Jesus body transfigured to a glorified state, which prefigures what his arrival would be in the Daniel 7 description.
The Ancient of Days is God the Father before there was any creation. Judaism says God has no form - but the text describes Hair on His "head" and wearing a garment white as snow. So much for Judaism's claim.
Daniel did not describe the Ancient of Days face, as I suspect it was not perceptible to a created being. Jesus said no-one has actually seen the Father except the Son, who came forth, emanated from the Father.
Imo, it appears as His throne is the entry point into creation, from his existence beyond Creation. No-one knows God on that level, but Himself.
Jesus, being the Lord of Heaven, returning to heaven, in his like-a-son of man form, is accompanied by the host of angels to the throne of the Ancient of Days, and takes his place there, to remerge with the Father, the Ancient of Days. Figuratively speaking at the right hand of power.
When Jesus returns to this earth, the world will see Him in his glorified self as God Almighty.

The sad thing about religion and I want to single out christianity, is that the christians borrowed a little from all other religions to build their doctrine. The christians, not being jewish or hebrew, want to tell the people from Hebrew tongue what their language interprets and means. It borrows from paganism, Persia, etc. They refuse to listen to wisdom because they have set up ideas of what things should mean, and therefor are the blind the Scriptures refer to. They follow the doctrines of men.

When jesus/yeshua/unsure what to call him due to corruption- said he is the only begotten son of God. I search the scriptures to find out what this means. How could this be. I found that in most of the men chosen by God all through the bible the second child receieved the birthright even though in the law of Moses the birthright was to go to the first born. I.e. seth, isaac, jacob, manasseh, and so on. Could it be that Adam first born got skipped and messiah/yeshua was the one begotten legitimately? So he receieved the birthright and inheritance? I read isaiah 52 and this sounds like the story of Christ. As a servant who was created by Hashem of course. Begotten means there is a beginning and therefore by nature cannot be God.

"Because by a man came death, by a man also comes resurrection [1 Cor 15:21]." ... And if we are all made to live in Christ as we were made to die in Adam, then, as in the flesh we were made to die in Adam, so also in the flesh are we made to live in Christ. Otherwise, if the coming to life in Christ were not to take place in that same substance in which we die in Adam, the parallel were imperfect.
    (Against Marcion by Tertullian, inter A.D. 207 - 212)
Christ bore human nature in order to be man's salvation -- to restore, of course, that which had been lost. ... let this be said to all those who do not think that our flesh was in Christ, because He was not conceived through the seed of man, - let them remember that Adam himself was made of this flesh without the seed of man. As the earth was converted into this flesh without the seed of man, so also was the Word of God able to pass into the material of the flesh without the agency of that seed. ... And again ... why is Christ called Adam by the Apostle, if as man He was not of that earthly origin?
(The Flesh of Christ by Tertullian, inter A.D. 208/212)

      1) The sin offering for an individual had to be a FEMALE goat or lamb. If the person couldn't afford a goat or lamb, he could bring a grain offering. Blood was not required for forgiveness. 2) The innocent cannot pay the penalty for the guilty. 3) Human sacrifice is expressly forbidden.

Jesus is the Lamb of God that was promised for Abraham and Isaac.
The true Messiah had to be both True God and true man in order to bring together those (God and man) who were separated by sin. The Messiah was to present man to God, and to make known God to man. If the Saviour was only God, or only man, the reconciliation would have been impossible to be achieved.
If Christ was only man, then He could not save mankind, because He also would be bound by sin and would never be able to overcome the power of death.
If He was only God, then He could not become the Mediator between God and man, because sin would have been conquered by God and satisfaction of God’s justice would not occur.
The solution was that God had to become man. Through His incarnation He took up all human nature, but without sin. The incarnated Word and Son of God came into the world, spoke to man and assured him that peace had come, because He was to offer Himself for the salvation of the world.
St. Paul teaches us saying, “When the time had fully come, God sent forth His Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons” (Gal. 4:4). God sent His Son as Mediator and High Priest of the New Testament. The Mission of Christ was to reconcile the world with God through His obedience to His Father’s Will. He was to bring harmony to the Divine Holiness and justice of God with man. God could have saved and reconciled man directly, but He respected man’s freedom of will. He could have satisfied His Divine Will, but without the unique Sacrifice on the Cross justice would not have occurred.
If God granted His saving Grace without His Divine Justice being satisfied, then the foundation of moral order of the world would be in disorder. Sin would stop being sin, if Divine Justice stopped demanding the punishment of sin. It was demanded from God’s Divine Holiness and Justice that a True Sacrifice had to be offered for the death of sin, in order for man to be regenerated in God in absolute obedience. It was essential that man, by his own free will, cut himself off from all connection with sin; in order to please God. Man regrets his previous sinful way of life and begins a new life of godliness, goodness and virtue in full obedience to God’s Will.
No man could have offered this logical sacrifice. All were under sin and the shadow of death. All were deprived of God’s Grace and were unable to achieve redemption. Neither could any of the angels restore the fallen man and give to his nature holiness, because holiness is something outside the essence and nature of angels and is only received through their communion with the Holy Spirit.
Therefore God achieved the atonement and salvation of the fallen human race through His Son, who became man. The Sacrifice of the God man should not be limited only in our Lord’s Sufferings and Death on the cross. It includes all His Life and it is a Sacrifice of absolute obedience to God the Father. Christ’s Suffering did not begin in Gethsemane, but in Bethlehem and reached the ultimate climax with the death on the Cross at Golgotha.
The Sacrifice which Christ the High-Priest had to offer had to be perfect and acceptable to God. It had to be a logical, moral and spiritual sacrifice. The Sacrifice of our Lord on the Cross and the shedding of His Blood was that perfect Sacrifice, Unique and acceptable to God the Father, satisfying God’s Divine Justice.
God is not pleased with human sacrifice, but Christ on the Cross showed the ultimate obedience to His Father. Christ says: “Lo, I have come to do Thy Will”. He abolishes the first Law of the Old Testament in order to establish the second, that of the New Testament (Heb. l0:9-l0).
Christ offered the Sacrifice on the Cross not because He was forced to do so, but of His Divine Will, in order to set man free from death. Out of love for man Christ died on the Cross and opened the way towards God’s Kingdom. Thus, as through the disobedience of Adam, sin entered into the world and “death through sin and so death to all men because all men sinned (Rom. 5:l2); likewise, through the obedience of the second Adam, Christ those who believed in His Name receive eternal life.
Christ, in His human nature, renewed the nature of the human race, by taking on flesh without sin. He sanctified and united human nature with God, becoming Himself the Head of the Unique Body, His Church. In Christ Jesus mankind was renewed because of the hypostatic union of the two natures of Christ the Divine and Human. The Word of God became man in order to sanctify man and bring him to the level of deity.
Right from the beginning, Christ was proclaimed by St. John the Baptist as the“Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world”

      By
      His Eminence
      Metropolitan Panteleimon of Antinoes
Retired Metropolitan of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Alexandria and All Africa
      Many might ask the questions:
Why did Christ, the most and only Innocent, have to face the worst form of death, the death on the cross, in order to reconcile man to God the Father?
Did Christ truly rise from the dead?
What would our lives have been if Christ had not died for us?
In order to understand the importance of Christ’s Sacrifice, one must know the reason for His coming into the world. In accordance to Holy Scriptures, man was formed by God out “of the dust of the earth” (Gen.2:7) and was made in the “image and likeness” of God (Gen.l:26). Man was placed as the King of all Creation in the Garden of Eden (Gen.2:8). Man was made in the “image” right from the beginning and had the ability to achieve the “likeness” of God through virtues and perfect obedience to God’s Will.
Man was made by God to live a godly life on earth. The first man had no obstacle to God’s knowledge and could see through his purity the Word of God with his logic. Being made by such and Holy God man lived in a sinless condition and received the voice of conscience. Man was able NOT to sin, but at the same time had the freedom to sin. Sin was not in man’s nature, but in his free decision. In other words, in how he would use his free will.
Man before the fall, was in full harmony with God’s Holiness and was proceeding towards the destiny of being in the “likeness”of God through obedience and holiness. In Adam all virtues were not complete, nor was holiness permanent and fulfilled. Adam’s original state, before the Fall, was a condition of Grace living in God’s presence. Man was called not only to remain in such a state, but to progress in virtues cultivating his free will with God’s assistance.
Unfortunately man disobeyed God’s Commandment and ate from the Tree of Knowledge of “knowing good and evil” (Gen.3:6). Man’s fall is greater than realised, because it was so easy for the Protoplast (first created) to follow and obey. There was no excuse. Secondly, man received the Commandment from his Creator, but he trusted the words of the creature, the serpent. Eve was not tempted, but allowed herself to be tempted, which resulted in the Fall.
The advice which the serpent gave to Eve was an act of rebellion against God. The purpose of testing the forbidden fruit of the“tree of knowing good and evil” was so that both Adam and Eve “would be as God” (Gen. 3:6). Satan deceived Eve to fall into the same sin by which he had fallen before the visible world was created (Is. l4:l2-l6). Lucifer and Eve wanted to grasp in becoming equal to God and to rise above God’s Glory, but without God. They wanted to compete in grandeur with God’s Majesty.
Sin began when man misused his free will and broke God’s Law. His heart was filled with evil desires. Pushed away from God’s Love, man’s heart was conquered by egoism. He placed idols of false gods where the True God was. Before the Fall, God was the centre of man’s heart, feelings, thoughts, decisions and actions. But from the time he decided to violate the Law, man’s ego became the centre of his heart. Man became sinful, selfish and egocentric. He worshipped himself and demanded that all others around him should participate in this worship which he offered to his self-deified ego and image. In the darkness of selfishness, man believed that he truly loves and serves God, but in reality he thinks, wishes and acts contrary to true love.
The results of the Fall are:
      1) Man lost his innocence and the garment of natural holiness. Therefore he took “fig leaves” to cover his nakedness (Gen.3:8).
      2) God’s Grace, which before gave man the strength to develop virtues and justice, had been removed.
      3) The ability of remaining sinless, innocent and eternal was lost.
      4) The first couple deprived themselves from communicating directly with God.
      5) Fear and guilt entered man’s heart.
      6) Man’s mind was darkened, and
      7) Man accused God of being responsible for his fall. He blamed God for giving him Eve as his wife (Gen. 3:l8). This is the Original or Ancestral Sin.
Man, becoming selfish, believed that he could become equal to God! But instead he became a slave to sin and was under the tyranny of death.
Because God loves mankind and does not want to see man being destroyed, He gave man the hope, which is foretold in the “Proto-envangelion” (=First Good News). Satan will be crushed by the Woman’s seed (Gen. 3:l6). This reassured that man’s fall was not irreparable. In man’s nature, after the Fall, powers and abilities remained by which, in Christ’s human nature, man’s nature would be restored to the state from which it had fallen.
The punishment of death was an expression of God’s Love towards the fallen man. Sin will NOT be forever, eternal. Consequently, man was exiled from the state of God’s Grace to the earth of which he was taken and was placed in the condition of labour, ruin, sinfulness and death.
All the human race participated in the Fall of the first couple. The Original Sin is passed down from one generation to the other.
In order that mankind be redeemed from the consequences of the Fall and regain its inner peace, there was a great need to achieve its reconciliation with God. The reason for man’s creation was to be in an unbroken communication with God. Only in such a state will man be truly happy and able to fulfil his destiny. But, when he was separated from God because of sin, he fell from his destiny.
In all religions, especially in the Monotheistic religion of the Old Testament, reconciliation with God was believed to be achieved by the offering of sacrifices of blood. Before man could speak to God, he had to offer a sacrifice for his sins. For those who soughed reconciliation with God it was in these sacrifices of blood that they achieved it. Because they had nothing more precious to offer than their own life, they offered sacrifices of animals and through the offering of blood they were acknowledging that they themselves were worthy of death. In the book of Leviticus, God says: “For the life of flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make an atonement your souls” (Lev. l7:11). The blood of the sacrificed animal was sprinkled first on the altar and was accepted by God as an offering on behalf of the soul of the person who offered the sacrifice. Then, it was sprinkled on the man to be forgiven of his sins and thus he was cleansed. Through the sacrifice of blood man received the right to participate in God’s worship and became a free member of His people.
St. Peter, concerning the Sacrifice offered by Christ on the Cross, says: “He was destined before the foundation of the world, but was made manifest at the end of times” (l Peter l:20). God in His Foreknowledge knew what would happen to man and prepared in His Providence the Mystery of man’s salvation through Jesus Christ.
It was entirely God’s decision the way through which His Justice and Holiness would be satisfied, because of the insult caused by man, and for the fallen man to be reconciled again with his Creator. It is a fact that the fallen and sinful man, although sincerely desiring to be free from guilt, was unable to achieve this without God. God stretched out His Hand to man and assured him that reconciliation can be achieved only through the Grace of God in Jesus Christ.
The sign of God’s Grace was the coming of the Unique High Priest, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, the incarnated Word and Son of God the Father. He would actually be the only mediator between God and man.

God showed “His love for us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Rom. 5:8). If we are now justified by His Blood, how much more shall we be saved by Him from the wrath of God. “For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by His Life” (Rom. 5:9-l0).
Our Lord Himself assured us that He came“to give His life as a ransom for many” (Matt. 20:28). Christ, as the High Priest, came to die for our sins and the shedding of His Blood on the Cross has the nature of the expiatory Sacrifice. Christ being sinless because “the expiation of our sins” (1 John 4:l0), “He died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God (l Peter 3:l8). As the sacrificial animals of the Old Testament took on symbolically and unconsciously the sins and guilt of those who offered them on the Altar; likewise, Christ became the Offeror and the One Who is being offered. By His own free Will, He consciously took up our sins, cancelling “the bond which stood against us” (Col. 2:l4).
The Sacrifice of the Only Begotten Son of God was offered for all mankind because “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:l6). Jesus Christ is the atonement not only for the faithful, but for the sins of all mankind. Christ died not for the select few only, but to take away the sins of all, and in order that man be saved through Him.
Therefore, our Lord proclaims saying, “He who believes in Him is not condemned, he who does not believe in Him is condemned already because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God” (John 3:l8). Christ died for all to save all, but not everyone’s sins are forgiven. For, there are those men who refuse to accept Christ’s Offer of Salvation. The consequence of their unfaithfulness is their own condemnation. The Blood of the New Testament was shed for their salvation also and the washing away of all their iniquities. Because the iniquities of all sinners was not greater than Christ’s righteousness, nor have we sinned more than the righteous deed’s of Him who died for us, mankind’s sins are as a drop in the ocean when compared with the infinite Love of God towards man.
Christ truly died on the Cross, because He was really man. He descended into Hades with His logical soul and the Logos; and was raised from the dead, because, as He assured us saying that the “ruler of this world is coming. He has no power over me” (John l4:30).
In Hades Christ’s Spirit preached to the spirits of men achieving His first victory over the kingdom of Death. Therefore St. Paul teaches us that “God also had highly exalted Him, and given him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth” (Philip. 2:9-l0).
The importance of Christ’s descent into Hades showed that He is the Saviour of all, the living and the dead. No power in nature, or obstacle of time or space can come between Christ and finding the way to save mankind. He is the Saviour of all generations, before and after His incarnation. Christ’s Sacrifice has the power to save man, from Adam to the last to be born before His Second Coming.
The Resurrection of our Lord was the evidence of His triumphant entrance into His Glory. Christ died, was raised from the dead on the third day, and lives for ever. He rules over the living and the dead. He overcame death and received in His Divine Authority, the keys of death and Hades and all the living. This is the greatest proof that the sacrifice offered on the Cross was accepted by the Heavenly Father. This is the guarantee, that our salvation was achieved and death was defiantly conquered. The fall of mankind was restored.
In Jesus Christ’s Resurrection we greet the glory of His Kingdom to come. Christ’s Resurrection is a vision of the world’s final glory after the General Resurrection of the dead.
It is obviously very clear that, if Christ had not come, mankind would not have been saved. Reconciliation would not have occurred and man would still have been under the slavery of sin and the shadow and tyranny of death. If Christ had not come, then man would be disbanding from the knowledge of the True God. By Christ’s resurrection the history of man was diverted from the way of destruction to the way of salvation. Each and every man is invited by Christ to participate in Him, by Him and through Him.
“In Him”, means that man, through the Holy Sacrament of Baptism, becomes a member of His Holy Church. “By Him”, means that man should live the way of Christ’s life. “Through Him”, means that through the Grace of the Holy Spirit, granted by Christ through the Holy Sacraments of the Orthodox Church, man can be sanctified and saved.
Man through canonical Baptism participates in the Death and the Resurrection of Christ. By accepting the general salvation which Christ offered on the Cross, we have to make it our personal salvation by using God’s Grace in our in our daily life imitating Christ’s life. Through Baptism, Original Sin is forgiven and reconciliation is achieved. If Christ never had come no-one would have been saved; the Church would never have been founded and no Sacraments would ever have been established. Thus it would have been impossible for man to achieve his salvation. Original Sin would have still been intact; and the insult which man threw at God would never have been removed.
Through Christ’s Resurrection, man became a friend to God and all those who believed in Christ become friends with Christ (John l5:l4).Our friendship with Christ must be a friendship of obedience to His Commandments and a sacrifice of our free will to His Divine Will.
By having the resurrected Christ as our personal friend we are assured that we are able to communicate with Him not only in our good moments of life, but especially in times of need. We often let Him down, but He NEVER lets us down. In our difficult moments, when we feel that is not around, He is always there for us, because He promised that: “I am with you always, even unto the end of the world”. Amen, (Matt. 28:20).

The general framework of understanding of the God-man relationship is clearly different from the view that became dominant in the Christian West-i.e., the view that conceived of “nature” as distinct from “grace” and that understood original sin as an inherited guilt rather than as a deprivation of freedom.
In the East, man is regarded as fully man when he participates in God; in the West, man’s nature is believed to be autonomous, sin is viewed as a punishable crime, and grace is understood to grant forgiveness. Hence, in the West, the aim of the Christian is justification, but in the East, it is rather communion with God and deification.
In the West, the church is viewed in terms of mediation (for the bestowing of grace) and authority (for guaranteeing security in doctrine); in the East, the church is regarded as a communion in which God and man meet once again and a personal experience of divine life becomes possible.”
      ie in short:
      We Only inherited Adam’s punishment-Mortality(death).
We dont inherit sin, only Adam’s deficiency(death)
“Original Sin is understood differently by the Orthodox Church. The Orthodox Church denies that a sin committed by someone else (in this case, Adam) can be somehow “transmitted” to the rest of humanity.
Adam’s personal sin of rebellion against God was his alone to atone for.
What we “inherit” or what is “transmitted” to us is Adam’s human nature which was weakened and damaged by the passions.
Thus, we inherit the experiences of suffering and death from our first parents. It is that state of our human nature that we inherit, that is “transmitted” to us, not the actual sin committed by Adam.
Christ, the Son of God and True God Himself, assumed our human nature and transformed it with His Divinity and Saving Power by His Life, Death and Resurrection.”

Jesus said "you will see the son of man coming on the clouds" Not like a son of man. Daniel was in God's Throne room, filled with elohim, Daniel was the only "son of man" in sight, then he looks in the sky, someone riding the clouds. In his mind only a true deity can be the cloud rider, to his surprise, he's not sure but it looks like a "son of man" is now riding the clouds, to his surprise, this "son of man" takes the throne forever. Only a divine elohim can do this. This is a "son of man" human. There is no "like" about this, only when he seen him from afar....

+Anni Dhir What exactly is it that you want from the Tanach, for me to show?
Anni, the question comes down to is the Christian Testament true or not. Here's the proof forthcoming which you can verify your rejection that Jesus is the messiah or realize that you have been wrong... as soon as Judaism's messiah (someone other than Jesus) appears, which should be right after Gog/Magog. This is a sure-fire easy way.
In the messianic era, there will be universal knowledge of the one true God. This is a premise that Judaism and Christianity both hold. Now in Zechariah 14:9 that condition will become fact - following the splitting of the Mt of Olives, half to the north, half to the south, in Zechariah 14:4.
But if the messiah comes on the scene and the mount of olives has not been split, the person is the Antichrist which the Christian Testament says is coming, who will betray Israel and the Jews about 3 years 4 months after being anointed King of Israel (mashiach). And will subsequently persecute anyone who doesn't worship him. Which Jews will not do, and ultimately be rescued by Jesus when he returns - and does split the Mt. of Olives in half.
The advantage of not waiting to become a believer in Jesus is that there is a promise in the Christian Testament, in Luke 21:34-36, to escape that time of persecution, by what is called the rapture. I am sure you have heard of it.
Anni, are you Jewish (your mother a Jew) ? If so, I respect that you reject Christianity, but there is coming a time when our debating words become actions fulfilled in the end times scenario. The Christian bible says today is the day of salvation.
The verification that the Christian bible is true is in the study of the end times prophecies. At my website,
      theforum36053.yuku.com/topic/206/Pre70th-week-70-weeks-seqence-events-bible-timeframes
that thread gives an easy to follow sequence of events forthcoming.
I am 67 and have studied this material everyday since I was 23, and am indebted to many things I learned from countermissionary Jews, which it is necessary to understand certain (and many) things about what Jews believe - which go into understanding the end times scenario. Unfortunately few Christians take time to talk to Jews themselves.
Anni, has the everlasting Mt. Sinai covenant expired that it has to be "renewed" as Judaism says the new covenant in Jeremiah 31:31-34 really means "renewal" of the existing Mt. Sinai covenant?
I personally believe that at Mt. Sinai, God made an everlasting commitment to Israel that He would be their God and they will be His people. Salvation is part of God's commitment, and regards eternal life and is why the gospel is in Jesus's death and resurrection. The Mt. Sinai covenant was never a covenant for eternal life. But in Christ, Jews can have eternal life, and the offer was extended to Gentiles, like me.
Which the one like unto the Son of Man in Daniel 7, his everlasting kingdom includes persons from all nation, kindreds, tongues, and people. That part is in the Tanach.

+Douggg1000 The New Testament was a man-made book. Those texts which were approved for the early Christians to read and those which were considered sufficiently authoritative to be included in the New Testament were included in some previous lists but were ‘officially’ decided by Council -The Council of Laodicea (363 CE) - which for example, forbade the reading of private psalms and ‘un-canonical’ books in church and encouraged the public reading of only ‘canonical’ books of the New Testament and the Old Testament (Canon 59). In later manuscripts of this Council’s decision, a list of the books comprising the New Testament, as approved, corresponded to our present New Testament with the exception of Revelation, which was not included because it was not considered as authoritative. This was not merely an omission, because such list agreed with the writings of the Bishop of Alexandria (c.315-386 CE). The earliest listing of all the 27 books of our New Testament (including Revelation), in the form that we now have them, is found in Athanasius’ ‘Festal Epistle 39’ (c.367 CE) and was approved by the Synod of Carthage in 397 CE.
There is nothing in the New Testament which states that it is the ‘word of God’. None of the Gospels state that they were given directly by the word of God. Paul’s letters were just that - letters to small clusters of people in various gentile countries; they were not written to the world at large. The four gospels are so contradictory that they could not have been inspired by God’s spirit - the writings of Paul contain references to passages in the Old Testament which he (obviously and dishonestly) mistranslated to prove one or more of his points and Matthew does likewise.
Don’t be deceived, read what GOD says to YOU, through His Prophet Moses (Deuteronomy 30: 9-20):
“The Lord will make you prosperous in all that you do … but you will have to obey Him and keep all His laws …you will have to turn to Him with your heart. This command that I am giving you today is not beyond your reach. It is not up in the sky. You do not have to ask: “Who will go up and bring it down for us so that we can hear it and obey it?” Nor is it on the other side of the ocean. You do not have to ask: “Who will go across the ocean and bring it to us so that we may hear it and obey it?” No! It is here with you. You know it and quote it so now obey it. Today I am giving you a choice between good and evil, between life and death. If you obey the laws of the Lord your God … If you love Him and obey Him and keep all His laws, you will prosper. I am now giving you the choice between life and death, between God’s blessing and God’s curse … Choose life! Love the Lord your God and be faithful to Him …”

+John Stacey-Hibbert There is nothing in the New Testament that states it is the Word of God ?
Jesus at His glorious return forthcoming, in Revelation 19:13.
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
All of Paul's letters can be summarized in his statement that he preached no other gospel than "Christ and Him crucified"
As far as the choose life or death terms of the Mt. Sinai covenant, that pertained to the blessings if they obeyed and remained faithful to God or the curse if they went after false gods. It is not pertaining to eternal life.
Even so as obtaining the maximum blessings of the Mt. Sinai covenant, Jesus said (paraphrased) - what profits a man if he gains the whole world, but loses his own soul?
The new covenant is in the Tanach in Jeremiah 31, but thus far, most of Israel has not embraced it.

+Douggg1000 I find nothing in Revalation 19:13 where God states that the Books of the New Testament are His Word. As I previously mentioned the Book of Revalation was not considered of any authority by the Church Fathers until the 4th Century, so I can see no reason to put my trust for eternal lfe in any of its content. As to Jeremiah 31, if you believe Paul when he wrote that the law and covenants or God have been done away with, then you will never be under the new covenant - read verse 33 - the law will be written on the hearts of the faithful and so if you believe the law has been done away with on the cross, it can never be witten on your heart. You must put your trust in the one true God, not in Paul and not in whoever wrote Revalation.

+Dariusz Zubrowski : You are playing with words. God tells us time and again that there is NO OTHER GOD but Him - that He will not share His Glory with any other. Nowhere does God indicate that he consists of three 'persons' - nowhere. Jesus cannot be God in the flesh as this would contradict God's very words. Yes, God will be back in Israel at the end times and His laws will go forth from Jerusalem, but it will be Yahweh, the ONE AND ONLY God, not Jesus. Nowhere in the Tenack does it say that Jesus equates with God. Nowhere in the Tenack is Jesus ever mentioned - point to one passage where Jesus, himself, is mentioned by name.

    • @JStaceyhib
      @JStaceyhib 8 років тому +1

+Dariusz Zubrowski : Here are some of the authorities that prove Gid is only ONE - not three in one:
Deuteronomy 4:35. Having brought His people out of Egypt in a miraculous way, which every Israelite actually witnessed, Moses reminded them of this, saying “Yahweh has shown you this to prove to you that He alone is God and that there is no other”.
Deuteronomy 4:39. Four verses later Moses reminded them: “… so remember today and never forget: Yahweh is God in heaven and on earth. There is no other God (singular noun) ...”
Deuteronomy 5:6-7. “I (singular) am Yahweh (an individual proper noun) your God … Worship no god but Me (singular)”
Deuteronomy 6:14. “You shall not follow other gods, any of the gods of the peoples who surround you!”
Deuteronomy 10:12-14. “… listen to what Yahweh your God (singular) demands of you: Worship Yahweh (singular) and do all that He (singular) commands, Love Him (singular),serve Him (singular) with all your heart and obey all His (singular) laws …”
Deuteronomy 32:39. “I, (singular) and I alone, ( ani, ve-ani levadi …”) am God. No other god is real …” The word ‘alone’ here, is an adjective modifying the pronoun ‘I’ - meaning that no other person is with God.
I Samuel 2:2. “There is none holy as the Lord. There is none beside Thee; neither is there any Rock like our God.”
1 Kings 8: 60. “And so all the generations of the world shall know that Yahweh alone is God - there is no other …”
2 Kings 19:19. “Now, O Lord our God, deliver us from his hand, so that all kingdoms on earth may know that You alone, O Lord, are God”
1 Chronicles 17:20. “O Lord, there is none like You, neither is there any God beside You, according to all that we have heard with our ears!”
Nehemiah 9:6. “… You Yahweh, You (singular) alone (emphasised singular) are God…”
Psalm 81: 8-9. “Whom have I in heaven but You (singular)? The earth has nothing I desire besides You”.
Psalm 113: 4&5. “The Lord (Yahweh) rules over all nations … there is none like the Lord (Yahweh) our God …”
Isaiah 40:18. “To whom then will you liken God? To what likeness will you compare Him?”
Isaiah 40: 25. "To whom then will you liken Me, that I should be his equal?" says the Holy One.
Isaiah 42: 5 - 8. “Thus says God, Yahweh, He who created the heavens and spread them out, who gave shape to the earth and what comes from it, who gave breath to its people and life to creatures that move in it … I alone (i.e. all by Myself) am Yahweh, your God, no other god may share my glory …”
Isaiah 43: 10-11. “… Before Me no other God was formed, nor will there be one after Me. (i.e. there never was and there never will be) I, even I, am God and beside Me there is no saviour.
Isaiah 44: 6-8. “Yahweh says, ‘You (plural pronoun) are My (singular pronoun) witnesses’ .... I am the first and the last, the only God, there is no other God but me. Who then is like Me (i.e. is there any other God?) If so, let him stand up and speak and argue it out before me …” (Biblically, no one ever did - not even Jesus! Jesus never stood up and argued that he was God).
Isaiah 44: 24 Thus said the Lord, your Redeemer, the One who formed you from the womb, "I am the Lord Who makes everything, Who stretched forth the heavens alone, Who spread out the earth by Myself." Note: It is Yahweh God who is your redeemer - no one else!
Isaiah 45: 5-6. “I am the Lord, and there is no other; besides Me there is no God . . . . I will strengthen you . . . in order that they know from the shining of the sun and from the west that there is no one besides Me; I am the Lord and there is no other!”
Isaiah 45: 21-22. “. . . Who announced this from before, who declared it from the distant past? Is it not I, the Lord, and there is no God apart from Me, a righteous God and your Saviour; there is none but Me. Turn to Me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other!” Note: God spoke through Isaiah the Prophet that He, Yahweh, is your saviour - no one else! (See also Isaiah 43: 3)
Isaiah 46: 5. “To whom shall you liken Me and make Me equal and compare Me that we may be alike?” (Consider this in the light of John’s first Chapter!)
Isaiah 46: 9. “Remember the first things of old, that I am God and there is no other; I am God and there is none like Me.” (Again, consider this in the light of the first Chapter of John - “Remember the first things of old (i.e. remember Genesis) - I am the God of creation, no one else”.)
Isaiah 48: 11. “. . . and My honour I will not give to another”.
Hosea 13:4. “…You shall acknowledge no God but me, no Saviour but me …” (Again - God is saying that there is no other saviour but Him - if you acknowledge any other god, God cannot exercise His grace to save you (give you eternal life).
Joel: 2: 27. “… I am the Lord your God, there is no other; and My people shall never be ashamed.”
Malachi 2: 10. “Has not one God created us? Why should we betray, each one his brother, to profane the covenant of our forefathers?” This just what the Christian Church is doing - they are profaning the covenant entered into with GOD and are betraying each one of us into following false teachings..
Matthew 6:9-13: The Lord’s Prayer. “Our Father … hallowed be Your name (singular pronoun).. Your Kingdom come … Your will be done …Yours is the Kingdom, power and glory…” All four ‘yours’ are in the singular.
Singular, singular, singular … none of the nouns or pronouns quoted above are plural or composite -Not one! Not any! Zilch! Zero! None! Ninguno!, Kanenos! Acun! Keine! Nikto! Nessuno!

+Dariusz Zubrowski : Here are some more authorities which show that GOD (singular) created the heavens and the earth - NOT Jesus:
Genesis 1:1 & 2:4. “In the beginning God (Yahweh) created the heavens and the earth” “ This is the history of the heavens and the earth when they were created in the day that the LORD God (Yahweh) made the earth and the heavens”. (NKJ)
Exodus 20:11 (This is part of the 4th of the 10 Commandments): “For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day” (NKJ)
Deuteronomy 10: 14: “Indeed heaven and the highest heavens belong to the LORD your God, also the earth with all that is in it’. (NKJ)
2 Kings 19: 15 & 19: ‘‘… You are God, You alone of all the Kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth. ’’ ‘‘… that all the Kingdoms of the earth may know that You are the LORD God. You alone’’, (NKJ)
Nehemiah 9: 5-6: You are the LORD alone, You made the sky, the reaches of space and its countless lights, the earth and everything on it, the seas and everything in them; You gave life to them all and the universe worships You.
Psalm 33: 6 & 8/9: By the word of the LORD (Yahweh) the heavens were made and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth… Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him for he spoke and it was done, He commanded and it stood fast. (It is interesting that in the introduction of this Psalm in the NKJ, it reads “The sovereignty of the LORD (Yahweh) in Creation and History”.)
Psalm 37: 16 & 20: “You are God …You have made heaven and earth”. “… You are the LORD, You alone.”
Psalm 148: 5: Let them all praise the name of the LORD! He commanded and they were created. Read verses 1 - 4 to see who were created - the angels, hreavenly armies, the sun and moon and shining stars and the highest heavens.
Isaiah 44: 24 Thus said the Lord, your Redeemer, the One who formed you from the womb, "I am the Lord Who makes everything, Who stretched forth the heavens alone, Who spread out the earth by Myself."
Jeremiah 33:3 - The Lord (Yahweh), who made the earth, who formed it and set it in place, spoke to me …
It is made crystal clear that God (denoted by the Tetragrammaton, the Hebrew name for God, sometimes written as YHWH (four letters)) by himself alone created the world/ heavens/ universe. No mention anywhere that Jesus was instrumental to it other than in six verses in John Chapter 1 then only ambiguously. Also, I would mention - all the above references to God are singular. These are the words of God - they cannot be altered! Why, then should the Church in all its denominations blaspheme God by denying His word and denying that He created the universe. They are calling God a liar - Yes, they are! Think about it!
