Ysera gives me a warm and comforted feeling that no other character in this game does. Since her death in legion, I always tear up when she’s on screen 😭

Yeah but what did the world need, for some dragon to be a little more confident or for the most powerful druid ever to exist to help defeat a fiery boy from burning a tree in the realm of life. I would argue malfurion would pop the f off as soon as he stepped foot in the source of druidic power. I understand your sentiment and it is touching but the story doesn't make sense for the level of impact Ysera had
But imagine what was given up. Tyrande gave up her husband. Any chance for her family to be complete in this lifetime so Ysera could come back for a limited time. It's not a fair trade in my opinion. Like, I wouldn't give up my wife just so I could speak with my grandfather again.

I don't play wow for some good years now, but i love to see that this level of facial expressions and fluid animations in engine and in real time being more and more common place in wow, this is something that enhances so much moments like this, it was common for this to be just the characters standing there with a huge textbox and voice over, without these characters emotions being shown like they are in this video, that is wonderful and i'm glad they are doing it more, plus your character get's to be a part of the moment as well, even if he just stands there, i appreciate that, congrats to the animation team, this a really well done job.
Ysera🥺🥺 Shes my favorite out of them all. Her story and death was extremely sad, it sucks she has to go back to the "dead realm"(?) ... im gonna miss her even more now🥺🥺💚 She will always be my true Green Flight leader and Dragon aspect favorite💚
I also loved Emberthal's and the new black aspect speech they had last tier patch. The voice acting was truly among the best in the entire series. That and sylvanas opening got BFA remain among the most impactful voice acting scenes I have seen from this game.

She came back for... what, for her to do next to nothing and spend barely any time actually interacting with anyone, all we get is a nice enotional beat at the end and now she's just heading back to Ardenweald? We gave up the chance to have Malfurion, THE foremost of Druids who's spent nore time in the dream than almost anyone, leading us through the emerald dream and finally getting to show how dangerous and powrful he could be, we gave up that chance so Merithra could get a little pep talk?
I mean, while the moments between Ysera & Merithra were high points in this story, what purpose did her return actually serve? She didn’t seem to do enough to justify it, imo. Ysera needed to play a bigger role to better explain the trade with Malfurion.
With our portals to the afterlife they dont need to be sad anymore. You can easily go visit uncle remus or aunt judy at any time after they pass one, just take a little stroll to the portal room. Bing bang boom in and out, 10 minutes. Home in time for supper.

Easy for her to say, she know where she goes in the afterlife and it's a paradise where she can live her afterlife pretty much the same way she lived her life. Minus the struggles, conflicts and pain. Beyond that, her return to Ardenweald pretty much make the drama between Tyrande and Malfurion pointless.
I assume she went back through the portal to get Malfurion so he can come back. I'm so glad to have closure between Ysera, Alex, and Meri. I love those characters so deeply, and blizzard gave them the story they needed to have

I feel like in the initial outline of Dragonflight they must of had Ysera coming back as aspect for the expanision and then handing it off to Merithra here at the end, but then they changed their minds and had Merithra get it at the start.. which left Ysera with nothing to really do.
Meanwhile, the Maw Walker next to everyone. "It's sad so see Ysera go... So anyway, let me know when you want to pop into Ardenweald for a visit, okay? We can make a nice trip out of it." It kinda cheapens death a bit when we've got portals right to Orobos in our capital cities...
Have you ever watch in mirror at yourself right after awakening? Ysera just stepped through portal. 10-20 mins to find Malfurion, some time to wake him. Some morning coffee after it... a LOT of coffee. He could not apper through the same portal even in an hour.
What an absolute shitshow. I played WoW for 19 years for Ysera storylines and they've just wasted bringing her back for five seconds. My sub ends in 8 days and I know I'll have no reason to sub anymore now that they're retiring her character.

My god, that was beautiful. Say what you will about the entire night elven arc throughout the last few expansions, but in my opinion it has given us some, if not the most, heartfelt and emotional cinematic moments in the game.
does emerald nightmare have a divine holy light counterpart and opposite of emerald nightmare because emerald nightmare is void corrupted while light and void are counterparts and opposites.
This feels very hollow… I kinda expected the new tree to allow both Ysera and Malfurion to stay on Azeroth given it’s connection to Ardenweald. That being said they might surprise us in 10.2.5…. Also I suspect we will see her in a Realms of Life xpac.
Meanwhile Malfurion found new adventure switching places with Sylvanas helping her collecting all the souls in Maw while she can chill in Ardenweald, so the boy not gonna back for a while.
I don't see how anyone couldn't love this expac. We've gotten character development, closure on a few individual stories, and juicy lore tidbits, hinting at the titans being extra shady, tying into future stories. The writing is far better than it was in SL imo.
So yea… we get this sorrowful farewellscene with Ysera saying goodbye to everyone before she goes back to being ”dead” and than she leaves never to see Merithra again… …Until the point when she will randomly decide to just drop by for a visit to Ardenweald like 5 minutes later that is. Warcraft death logic.
And if she could just swap places with Malfurian to come back to life temporarily, doesn't that Basically mean that you can never actually die if you can just decide to come back to life whenever you want.

So Ysera swapping places with Malfurion was for nothing? She went back to the shadowlands and malfurion stays there too? Not fair
i absolutely adore ysera, when she died i died :( but fr can we appreciate the amazing work the team did on the facial expressions in this cinematic? ysera’s in particular were perfect

My god, that was beautiful. Say what you will about the entire night elven arc throughout the last few expansions, but in my opinion it has given us some, if not the most, heartfelt and emotional cinematic moments in the game.
does emerald nightmare have a divine holy light counterpart and opposite of emerald nightmare because emerald nightmare is void corrupted while light and void are counterparts and opposites.

This feels very hollow… I kinda expected the new tree to allow both Ysera and Malfurion to stay on Azeroth given it’s connection to Ardenweald. That being said they might surprise us in 10.2.5…. Also I suspect we will see her in a Realms of Life xpac.

Meanwhile Malfurion found new adventure switching places with Sylvanas helping her collecting all the souls in Maw while she can chill in Ardenweald, so the boy not gonna back for a while.
Ysera is like all best friends she is so comfy to have around…love our dreamer …

This is dumb like they can just swap place from death to the living.
I don't see how anyone couldn't love this expac. We've gotten character development, closure on a few individual stories, and juicy lore tidbits, hinting at the titans being extra shady, tying into future stories. The writing is far better than it was in SL imo.

So yea… we get this sorrowful farewellscene with Ysera saying goodbye to everyone before she goes back to being ”dead” and than she leaves never to see Merithra again…
…Until the point when she will randomly decide to just drop by for a visit to Ardenweald like 5 minutes later that is.

And if she could just swap places with Malfurian to come back to life temporarily, doesn't that Basically mean that you can never actually die if you can just decide to come back to life whenever you want.
