Meg!!!! As a lifelong fan of yours, I have to tell you these Tea Time interviews you give us are gold!! Particularly, as the first time I saw you and fell in love with you was as Mary in 'Psycho II' and have always longed to hear any of your experiences on that film but knowing the bad time you had, never expected to ever hear anything. So the fact that you now talk about 'Psycho II' so openly is such a dream come true!!!!! I am also so thrilled you finally watched the film as your performance and the whole finished film shines out as yet another gleaming diamond in the tiara of your fabulous career xxxx

Jamie Lee Curtis was initially offered the role of "Mary Loomis" in Psycho II, but declined because she did not want to continue on with horror films at that point.

I have travel anxiety at any time. My husband and I went to Cayo Coco, Cuba, at the end of February and of course my anxiety was through the roof. But on the holiday I knew we were pretty safe since there weren't many people on the beach (safest place even if there were a lot of people). Everyone was by the pool instead. We took a test before returning home and was happy to see the word negative on a piece of paper. Masks have been dropped here in Ontario and they are saying they won't mandate them back no matter what happens. I know the numbers are going up. A friend in town in currently ill. It's just not going away, but as my daughter said "You can't stop living". It was a much needed vacation and I know your time with your family will be beneficial to your mental health.

Two weeks ago I had a HORRIBLE sinus affliction that drained into my lungs, giving rise to a very aggressive, burning cough, lasting for about a week...I decided to test, even though I'm vaccinated... and it showed only ONE purple line...So apparently, I had some other pretty serious malady that's probably been around since long before the SARS-2. I haven't gotten anything else like that during the whole pandemic, even though I've been around a lot of people, so I think the shots work (at least, the Pfizer...). I guess we've always just had to do what we can, and forge ahead while we have the chance (even if you're not going all the way to Cuba!...😅) Hope you had a nice time, despite the anxiety...🙂

Hi Meg thanks for sharing on your memories of the set of Psycho 2 and as for the psycho house itself I am aware for
some time now ever since I went on the Universal Studios back lot tour many years ago and being informed by the tour
Guide the house is actually a shell and the exterior was filmed in a sound stage, it's kind of sad as so many psycho fans
Relished the idea it was a real house you could enter and walk around, thou despite this this discovery it was still really
Cool I got to visit the Psycho house at Universal's Halloween horror nights a few years and see it up close for myself.

Awww... Thank you so much for answering my question. I loved hearing about your experiences on Psycho 2. It's neat that you grew up with an appreciation for old houses. Yes, I knew the interiors were separate sets from the exterior, but I still really enjoyed hearing of your experiences. My partner and I own a big old mansion in Ohio we've spent years restoring, so I'm truly an "old house junkie". Have a safe and wonderful trip. Look forward to hearing about it you when you get back. Matt.

Hi Meg. Just rewatched Impulse after all these years. It was really scary even by today's standards. What a great thriller. The scene where you stayed trapped in the truck while not letting Stuart in really broke my heart. When you said " you're all I have left" ....I felt like crying lol. You always had this gift of making us want to cry and feel good at the same time,,,like a kind of Catharsis. Just feels good after. Like the kind of warmth you project in your movies. I still feel traces of this warmth in your tea times. I think it's why people still connect with you after all these years. Even in your books. I would like to know what your thoughts and feelings were about the movie. Stay warm and cozy Meg. Let Jennifer walk into that sunset and look back at us one last time.

I’ve been a bike rider for YEARS…However, I DID crash, once…and broke my collar bone! And, you know, it hurt…🤕But, I still think that was outweighed by health benefits, overall…So, have fun with your new bike, Meg…Just, don’t be me trying to steer around cars while going too fast! 🙄In the meantime, you guys have THE BEST family get-together! 🙂I’ll try to get through a couple of Tuesdays and see you when you return from the journey! 🚲🛩🎉

This is not a question just a sorta anecdote. When I was a kid I was a bit of a film buff. I was at a family friends birthday and Richard Franklin, director of Psycho 2, was there. I recognised him and mentioned I was a fan. He was taken aback and said he was quite impressed that a 12 year old knew his work ( sorry if it sounds like a brag). He took a shine to me and was teaching at a university in melbourne (this is all in Australia I should say) and would always invite me to screenings the first being his film he did with Stacey Keach and Jamie Lee Curtis called Road Games. He would always be there with his lovely partner Jennifer and always endeavour to sit next to me to give me a running commentary of his films. One time during a screening he was so enthusiastic that the person in front him turned around and shushed him. He was crestfallen and apologised profusely to the person. I felt terrible for him, cause the person in front of us didn’t know it was him (not excusing talking during a movie, it was sad cause he was so proud and enthusiastic when describing his work on the films he could get carried away). One day out of the blue he gave me a copy of his film LINK (1986 killer chimpanzee movie starring Elizabeth Shue) that I cherish to this day. Sadly, Richard passed away in 2007. It was a very sad day and I lost a dear friend. His partner Jennifer was just as generous and nice to me too. Often sending me books on cinema and magazines on special effects. I’m sorry to hear that you had such a negative experience with him. He mentioned your work on this film once, along with Loggia’s and Perkins’, saying that you were one of the finest actors he’s worked with. He did mention that every day on the set he was hounded by the executives and placed under immense pressure and scrutiny- he was often criticised by a certain producer who worked with Hitchcock on Psycho, whose name I can’t remember although I don’t think Richard named him and that producer would constantly compare Franklin’s work to Hitchcock’s saying things like “wel, Hitch wouldn’t do it that way” or “that’s not something Hitch would approve of”, etc. although that does not excuse his behaviour, I can only speak of my experiences with him and they were of a great, generous, kind hearted man. Keep up the great work.

Wow, Sebastian. What an incredible experience you had knowing Mr. Franklin personally. He was a very talented director. The producer you're referring to was Hilton Greene, who worked on all 4 Psycho films as well as the Gus Van Sant remake. Richard gave several interviews about Psycho 2 where he frequently praised Meg's performance in the film. It's very interesting that you knew him personally. Thanks so much for sharing this.

I think I was 12 years old when I first saw Psycho 2 in 1985 and I am still a fan of it to this day and I just
Recently watched Richard Franklins LINK on Blu-Ray which I have not seen in a very long time but I am
Very Impressed with how well made this movie Is as I think it's one his best film to date, thou I always
Knew Richard was a serious Hitchcock scholar ever since I first saw Psycho 2 and he was born to direct
