6:41 on - the seven components of fitness (skills you need to master in order to excel at a sport). Ballet requires the seven skills.

Those seven skills are actually built into the method of classical training, which grows and develops with the dancer.

Which is why one of my teachers always says "If it was easy it would be called football" :P

excellent, excellent, excellent presentation because it was natural and full of substance - it was not done in the Ted Presentation Model and that was good

I'm here because of my frustration of self when it comes to dancing. Memphis Jookin in particular. It has made me aware of my emotions, expression, and memories that my imagination utilizes in order to speak through my motion. The movement is far less important than the (E)motion. But, the balance, especially in regards to toe stalls is ESSENTIAL.

i suppose everything is a language, sports are a language too?

I certainly believe so. When players play football, they're talking in a language and passion they understand. They're using common rules for it, but the passion, the fun, everything that comes from it, it's like a language (that I don't speak). That's why people love watching football: they feel the passion in their game.

@@Arabrax29 good point. i was thinking more that they're talking with their bodies and how they use their bodies, but their emotions could be a language, too. and the thoughts they have as they're playing the game.
