I'm looking to buy a new iPad 8. I currently own an iPad 3 that I bought in 2012 and it still works fine! Battery lasts 2 days; great screen: great for reading comics; browsing text based social media like Twitter, Reddit, Discord; still plays a couple of games like Tiny Wings... Of course it is stuck with iOS 10 and some apps aren't compatible, BUT wow, a 9 year-old tablet still working like that is AMAZING. Apple is the way to go and I don't think there's such a thing as planned obsolescence anymore. These things last a long time!

Everything my iPad Mini 5 (which is a slightly better iPad 8) couldn't do. That said, I still love my overpriced $440 iPad Mini 5 too, especially the size, but it also makes me realize how much I love Android tabs. I was obssessed with the iPhone 12 when it was released, I was so sure I was going to buy it and go back to Apple, but then the S21 was released and that stole my heart, because it's the sexiest phone I have ever seen, plus iPhone 12 is overpriced, $830 for only 64GB storage (WTF?), only 60hz (no 120hz WTF?), huge ugly & outdated notch (in 2020 WTF?) no USB C charger, no SD card support (WTF), etc. My lil niece is an iPhone lover, so I see her phone all the time and I noticed her screen looks ugly yellowish, wtf? She didn't even know what it was. So now I'm planning to buy soon the $650 S21 with 120hz, 128GB storage, USB C cable, etc. Or maybe the 256GB S21 for $699. When Apple finally improves their phones and tablets, maybe I can go back one day, but for now, no thanks. I'll still keep buying iPad Minis as secondary tabs, just to own something Apple.

The iPad Air and Pro models utilize Bluetooth earphones. They do not have the 3.5 mm headphone jack that the base iPad possesses. The long term effects of Bluetooth radiation on the ears and brain are unknown. There are no such concerns with hard wired earphones of the iPad. Just to throw this out, my base 16 gb iPad 4 got over 5 yrs. of Apple updates. Not bad.
Ok but -chromebooks have a long updates -Samsung has a huge ecosystem to plug into -iPadOS is literally a weird specific version of a mobile OS -There are many chromebooks with great build quality and materials
I've been waiting for mine to arrive for a month now. I even got the Logi keyboard and touchpad combo for it. I had one question though. Should I buy the apple pencil or the logi crayon?
I'm currently looking to upgrade from my midrange Samsung tablet to this. I was initially considering the iPad air 4 but I don't think that I need that much power.
Globally, the percent of Apple users (if Iphone is a reasonable measuring stick) is between 15-20%. Most people do not buy into the Apple ecosystem (though the percentage is much higher in the US). You're right about one thing, Apple's continued OS support for older models. That is a plus and, of course, can only be done because Apple *controls* the ecosystem. For Android, multi-year updates of all the types of Android phones is difficult but Microsoft has done a very good job on the PC side.
Apple needs to start the iPad storage at 64GB minimum like the Air 4, and offer a 128GB as another option. All iPad Pro models should start at 256GB. 128GB is a joke on a machine like that if you’re going to shoot photos or more so shoot videos, so people can better utilize their Pro model cameras.

Great report. I got one for my wife and she loves it. I love Apple too! The best of the best!
Purchased 128 storage iPad 8 Cellular a few hours ago from
T mobile for $18 a month for 2 years….WooHoo for the working masses doing an upgrade! 🐣
Can you make an updated review of iPad 8 ?
Great video! But does it come in 64GB too?
I literally just bought one. I hope its worth it
Love your videos! Could you address the possibility of using external dvd drives with tablets?
Thanks for the vids!
I bought it yay
Now my next question is: should I wait to buy the iPad 9? Or get the iPad 8?
My exact thoughts. I have an M1 MacBook Pro but I want something more lightweight and portable on the go
Buy 8th gen, nothing gonna change in 9th generation, maybe only design
Is it a bad idea to change my ipad air 2 with the new ipad 8? Is there a lot of difference in the display?
I just got mine yesterday in 128 gb 😊
The iPad Air and Pro models utilize Bluetooth earphones. They do not have the 3.5 mm headphone jack that the base iPad possesses. The long term effects of Bluetooth radiation on the ears and brain are unknown. There are no such concerns with hard wired earphones of the iPad. Just to throw this out, my base 16 gb iPad 4 got over 5 yrs. of Apple updates. Not bad.
Trying to decide if I should get this to replace my 2013 air.
When will the iPad 9 come out. Should I buy it now?
Can one please tell if 32GB is okay?
I got it today.
Yes if u not store too much videos and movies
@@ranadeepghosh good choice
which iphone is best for longterm usage
Can’t decide if i should choose this or wait for the New Mini!
Me using iPhone 12, iPad Air 4, Macbook Pro 2018, Apple watch Series 3, Airpods Gen 2, and Homepod Mini. Seamless and really good investment!
Ok but
-chromebooks have a long updates
-Samsung has a huge ecosystem to plug into
-iPadOS is literally a weird specific version of a mobile OS
-There are many chromebooks with great build quality and materials
I've been waiting for mine to arrive for a month now. I even got the Logi keyboard and touchpad combo for it. I had one question though. Should I buy the apple pencil or the logi crayon?
Applec pencil bc ut has presure sensutivity
Ipad 9th gen showing up in March ?
Great video any thoughts on UV sanitizers?
@5:10 - explaining how each apple device stands on its own while showcasing the one, single apple device that can't - the Apple Watch.
Is is good for gaming? Or i should go for mini 5
Will I be able to connect an external drive via a lightning hub?
Melt! You in Cleveland or just rocking the shirt?
I have this ipad. Should i upgrade to latest iOS? Will it make it slow?
Idk it I should get the iphone 12 pro and ipad 8.. or iphone 12 Pro max??
I'm currently looking to upgrade from my midrange Samsung tablet to this. I was initially considering the iPad air 4 but I don't think that I need that much power.
iPad is plenty
Im wondering how is it in gaming?
Seeing a ipad related video on the channel after a long time. 😁
How do I edit photos and videos, I mean the transport into the iPad ? Thanks
Perfect i pad for My Profesional Work.... Thanks You Brother:)
Ah yes just when the iPad 9 with A13 and 4GB RAM is rumored to come out this month.
That would be awesome if it comes, with the same price point!!!
Lmao i just ordered a 8th gen ipad, but i don't think the 9 will come out this early, since the 8 was released in September
@@cosmy1975 only 6 months ago, so i agree
Yeah I don’t expect an iPad 9 until September/October 2021.
I'm getting this in a week I'm so excited 😁😁
Ipad air 4 64b and ipad 8th gen 128gb are priced too close hard to make decision
iPad Air 64gb : 599$
iPad 8th 128gb : 559$
Which one you choose?
Microcenter is selling these for 289.99. It’s an absolute steal if you live near one.
Is the Smart Keyboard good? The one for that model
I saw this vid and got the Ipad 8 for my mum on Mother’s Day
Globally, the percent of Apple users (if Iphone is a reasonable measuring stick) is between 15-20%.
HEI hi , for you the ipad 7 generation are worth in 2021?
Hey dad could you make the 4K editing video test? Plsss
Watching on my iPad 8 🤗
Would you say it is worth upgrading to 8th gen from 6th gen
Yes
Apple needs to start the iPad storage at 64GB minimum like the Air 4, and offer a 128GB as another option. All iPad Pro models should start at 256GB. 128GB is a joke on a machine like that if you’re going to shoot photos or more so shoot videos, so people can better utilize their Pro model cameras.
Your wish has been granted
