Great seeing the tour of the whole Van. You showcased it all very well. Custom work makes it you. Something to be very proud of, YOU did it. Proud of you brother. Keep going, best is yet to come. If you're reading this and dont know, Steve chronicles each part of the build step by step in videos on his channel. Bravo !!!
Yeah I went with the 16 inch because I bought new rims with the tires. They were some of the lightest rims I could find by Black Rhino. Good luck and hope you find what works for you and your new ride! 🚐
Hey Steve nice setup what model of diesel heater do you have I've got a 95 gmc safari that I'm doing getting some ideas from people's buildings thanks Adios
Hi and thanks for the feedback. I spend a lot of time floating around at an elevation from eight to ten thousand feet so I needed a heater that would operate at those elevations. I went with the Webasto Air Top EVO 40 12v 4kW Diesel Heater Smartemp 3.0BT with High Altitude Kit. It’s a bit much for my small van but again the elevation I’m frequently at made it necessary and it’s good up to 18,044ft. The Webasto Air Top 2000 STC was the step down and better size for the van but its elevation limits are 7217 feet so that one wouldn’t work for me. That might work for you.
Thank you very much and congratulations on your newly acquired 2000 model! The BFG KO2’s are 225/75/16 and I do have a two inch lift but probably needed a three inch lift. I had to cut away, file down and rust oleum over the front two wheel wells because of LOUD tire rubbing. Fair warning. 🛞 🛞🛞🛞
@ I thought I read somewhere that the 225’s would fit no problem even 235’s? I guess that’s hearsay! Keep on truckin brother! Oh I see you went 16in? So the 15in 225 or 235 May work🤷🏻♂️✌🏻
Hey steve, thanks for your content you have been one of my go-tos for my safari! I like your roof rack... What are those tracks you have on there? Thats my next project and im planning the best course (ny van has a bald roof)
Hi Nicole and thanks for positive feedback. Great to hear my content has been of some help for you and your Safari! As for my roof Rack I went to a company down in Golden, Colorado called Rack Attack. I will leave there number here so you can get the exact and correct information and parts they used. Of course I also did a video on it but they would not let me film them do it. 🤪 Rack Attack Phone Number:720-681-6479. They also have two other locations around Denver in case the people here are not friendly. Thanks again and good luck!
Dude love the content! A few suggestions for ya as a fan & someone who has rocked tiny living. 1. Spray bottles are your friend when cleaning dishes. Saves water. 2. Premake ez meals on travel days. Like pasta salad, pbjs, ham n cheese sandwiches. 3. I’ve always had a microwave but if I didn’t, I’d get an electric sandwich press. (I really value quick meals lol) 4. Lots of research shows, quality audio & storytelling is why people stay on vids. So just keep that in mind when trying to improve.
Thank you!! You made gave me some great tips and tricks here and that’s much appreciated. A small spray bottle would definitely come in handy. And I guess I should look into upgrading my audio quality and storytelling if I’m trying to improve. Thanks again fellow minimalist! 🚐
I shouldn’t have said these the way I did. My thoughts are if I can say something that helps you, I want to say it. Regardless Im sorry it came out bad, best of luck to ya pal
Wow this is vacation on wheels. Who needs an air BNB. Must be great for stargazing
Thanks Supy!!

Yeah I agree this build is definitely the most simple I've seen. All the other builds are way complicated

Thanks Sue! I'll get back to you on the borrow!
Everything stays colder under the bed.
Keep your meds there, because the heat kills your meds and your condiments. I know from experience.
Thank you for the tip.
Awesome great job 👍👍
Thank you very much.
Nice build❤
Thank you 🙏🏻
Love it! Best Astro build I’ve watched to date! Just picked up a 2000 model. What size KO’s? And mods needs for the fitting! 💯👍🏻
Thank you very much and congratulations on your newly acquired 2000 model!
