I bought a cracked treasure hunt. My plan is to use blister from regular treasure hunt so I’ll have a mint treasure hunt. Thank you for the video. I had no clue how to do this.
My pleasure, happy to be of service! Just make sure to soak that card really well all around the blister so that when you pull it off, you dont pull any of the card off with it. 👊😁👍
Thank you for this video. I recently purchased a RLC TNT Bird Spoiler from a buy/sell site that arrived in the mail with a detached blister. I'm wondering if I should just re-glue the blister or maybe apply some acetone to reactivate the adhesive already on the card ?
You can use a blister from a different car thats wider. Maybe an LB S15 or LB R35? LB Huracan maybe? Something that has wider stance and needs a wider blister. 🤔
Chimaera, make sure you're using a good name brand dry erase like Expo. If you're getting stains then try bypassing the rubbing portion with the pen. Cover the tampo in the ink and let it sit a minute or so then wipe off with a cloth. Repeat as necessary to get the whole tampo off. I hope that helps! 👊😁👍
Hi, thanks for the video, do you have any others where all of the content s in frame? Lost you in some parts there where you went of screen. Thanks again.
Hi Benjamin, my pleasure. This was one of my first vids almost 4 years ago so apologies for the quality. Lemme know if you got any questions about anything and I'd be happy to help. 👊😉👍
Here in 2023, great video and super helpful. I look forward to displaying my cards on the wall and displaying customs like bnib! Thanks. Also had some team transports I wanted to crack so I will try the razor blade on them. Godspeed
If you're talking the premiums, no. The premium cards are double sided laminated. To do those, most people cut the blister flush to the cardon the bottom and sides then reglue the blister back on. 😁👍
I only want to do this because I wanted to display my cars out of the box. Does the acetone area leave a darker shade on the box after doing this or will it evaporate and would go back to normal? Many thanks! :)
This will do the trick Reanu! As long as you use 100% unscented acetone then you should definitely not have any problems with markings on the card. 👊😉👍
@@HonestDiecast yes sir!!!😁is there anyway we can make a trade for something (even though i got nothing compare to you) or make some type of deal because i really want that one out of the whole set but i never got the chance to get it and i really really don’t want to pay ebay price
That might be it, but if its straight acetone it should be 100% which is what you need. You gotta let it soak good through the card where you can see it soaking through on the other side where the blister is. 👊😁👍
Sorry CS, this method only works on mainlines and cards without laminated backing. Thats why its not working. Best way and really only way is to cut the blister at the very bottom on the sides and bottom then reglue. 👊😩👍
You really gotta soak the back of the card on some. Just try to outline the blister from the back with a damp small paint brush soaked in acetone. You should be able to see it soaking through on the front of the card.

Hey Windsurfing. Sounds like the factory glue may be insufficiently applied. I would probably just throw a new bead of glue on the blister. 👊😁👍
I like the intro D!!!
Thank you buddy!!! 😁
Is there anyway to make the blister slightly bigger for a wider car
You can use a blister from a different car thats wider. Maybe an LB S15 or LB R35? LB Huracan maybe? Something that has wider stance and needs a wider blister. 🤔
Every time I use the technique it always leaves stains, any advice? Could it be the acetone or another factor?

Can I ask? Can I open the hot wheels with factory sealed sticker?
You can open any HotWheels you'd like to! The Factory Sealed sticker just means those cars came from a master set. 👊😁👍

Can this method be used for the fast & furious series too?
Great video by the way!

Thank you for the info, trying to find my way in the Diecast arena +++
You'll be just fine my friend! 👊😁👍
Will the acetone not show any damage to the card in future? Like more yellowing on the site u applied the acetone?
Christine I haven't had that issue yet. Just make sure you're using 100% acetone thats clean and not reused and you should be fine! 😁👍
Does it still work with 25% acetone? I bought one without knowing it should be 100% acetone
It will probably be taking a lot longer to unbond the glue with just 25%. You'll even be ok if you use 70%, but 100% will definitely be the best! 👊😁👍

Love the channel! Thanks for the tips and hunt videos !
You got it timZ! My pleasure my friend, thank you for the kind words! 😁👊
Would this work with 99% isopropyl alcohol too?
Unfortunately not Josh. Alcohol won't seperate the adhesive from the card. Acetone is what softens up and seperates the adhesive from the card. 👊😉👍
Helped a lot! gotta find/buy some acetone though
Can i do this with water?
Unfortunately not, you need the acetone to unbind the glue/adhesive.
Thank you very much
I was too much worried about my wheels
My pleasure Miranda! Glad you found it helpful! 👊😁👍
Can i use water with soap or olive oil?
Thats a great question Mikail, I have never tried either. 🤔
Not working. Tried it on one of my Need for Speed GTOs. Please advise. ✌️
What happened CS? Are you using 100% acetone? Are you letting it soak into the card? 🤔
@@HonestDiecast I painted it, let sit, and painted some more. It says acetone.....first thing on the bottle...does not say 100%.
