Excellent instructional video! Thanks for taking the time to do the video production work. I'm sure that added a considerable amount of time to this project but your experience will save others time and frustration.
Hey John, Thank you. I appreciate your feedback. I'm glad you found the video helpful. Feel free to share if you feel someone else needs any of the info covered in this video. I plan to do the front dinette construction in the spring. Cheers.
Hey Patrick, Thanks. If I were to do it again, I can think of a few ways to make it go smoother, but all in all, it turned out pretty nice and solid. Cheers
Hey Dennis, Thank you. I was hoping that all the trouble would be worth it, and I was pleasantly surprised at how solid that floor came out in the end. Cheers
Hello Dino, We love your instructional videos on repairing the Trillium travel trailer.Could you please let us see the end result of the front Bunkie conversion to a dinette.?
Some changes came about and I have sold the project to another Trillium trailer fan, so I am afraid I do not have finished product photos to share. Sorry my friend.
Wow, that was a huge job! Well done! I am waiting for you to re-attach bolts or U bolts from frame to fiberglass. I am struggling with this a bit, and decided to go on vacation and take a break. Lol. Thanks for the sticker Dino!
Good Morning Dino. Great job on the fibreglass flooring!! Fiberglass and cloth is sooooooooo much fun, lol!! That hard work, will pay off for many years to come. Did you edit out all the curse words, haha, cheers, Len
Another great video Dino. Too much work for me, instead we bought a mint condition used tent trailer and I have "un-camperized" the Jeep. Hoping to do a trip next year maybe to NB to visit friends but for now it's just Provincial parks in ON.
I believe I mentioned it is 1/2” Marine Grade Plywood. I have read that it should be 3/4”, but when I test fitted different thicknesses to fit under the door ledge, 1/2” seemed to work best. If I forced it, maybe 3/4” could have worked? Either way, the double layers of fiberglass and the coats of epoxy on both sides of the new floor made for a super solid new floor. Have fun.
Love the video! I am unsure if I have rotted wood through. I did find some under the right dinette bench. Do you think I should cut a section of the interior fiberglass floor to get a sense of the plywood condition?
Sorry I should have been More clear. I believe they used a hole saw to cut the top fiberglass layer off and the plywood, without cutting through the floor and use the one inch core to assess the condition.
@@CheaperJeeperTV oh I see. That makes a lot of sense. I’ll have to try that. Side note: I’d like to update you on my progress with the belly band repair. I successfully removed all of the steel plates. Though, a couple of my early cuts using the multi tool went through both layers and even cut a small slit in the ensolite. Fortunately, I only made that mistake a couple times. I did 1 layer of the long stranded bondo as you suggested. Sanded. Then completed 1 layer of short stranded. I have not sanded that layer yet. It seems like I am going to have a lot of dips in the bondo. After I sand, I will go over it with the filler. Do you think multiple layers of filler will smooth everything out?
Evan, I went with 1/2”. That seemed to be what I consistently measured as I removed the wood. It was perfect in some areas and maybe a little thin in others, like in front of the sink, but I can level that out. I hope that helped. Cheers
Excellent workmanship !
Hey Lanark,
I appreciate the feedback. Thank you.

Uncamperized your Jeep?!?! Amazing. It must feel so different!!! Enjoy your new trailer. Cheers
@@CheaperJeeperTV it's very freeing. Softop back on and going topless

Hey Jeffrey,
Some people still one inch holes to determine the condition of the floor in various areas.
I hope that helps.

Yes. I did that. I used plain bondo and added it to do final evening out.
A easy way to tell a 2021or newer Wrangler is the lack of a tailgate key. A few dollars saved times 100 thousand Wranglers = extra profit for Jeep.
Who would have thought? I wonder what is next?
Would replacing rotten plywood with ridget foam board work
Hey Phil,
That’s an interesting question. I can’t say with any certainty, but I think the plywood would offer more strength?🤷🏻♂️
Cheers
