I have a DJI power station 1000, I've seen others videos on UA-cam how people use a 12 volt 1025 wh deep cell battery and a step up 12 volt dc to 24 volt dc and connect it to their PowerStation to add compacity like an expansion battery. Since the DJI expansion battery is very expensive is there a way I can use a 12 volt battery i have already and connect it somehow to add energy compacity to the DJI power station. LOL hope I'm saying it right. I power a portable DJ system with my DJI power station, I am trying to get it to last longer. I'm not trying to be cheap but if i can save money. why not

I did it without, 1) to keep the cost down, and 2) because I was using it on the lawn beside the shed at the cottage, so I wasn’t going to require casters. But likely for most, casters would prove quite helpful. Cheers.

I prefer my DIY version 2. Way less expensive, more functional for quick setup when you get to camp because in my DIY V2, the pillow pieces simply flip forward, less weight, and I believe has less to break down over time. But to each their own🤷🏻‍♂️

It certainly isn’t as cheap as some of those foldable portable panels, but if you needed the benefits afforded by the CIGS technology, it’s good to get these if they’re on sale that’s for sure.

@CheaperJeeperTV I put 1/4" spacers/plastic washers that came with a tv wall mount, in between where the light housing meets the Jeep. The lights don't shine so much on the side of the road now. But most of the light is still not on the road. Do you think this is just poor oversight on Jeeps end?

No. I think the light going to the sides is desirable to most and that’s why it is set that way. Maybe it’s to help see the deer in the sides of the roads?

The rear rotors only need to come off if you plan to change them. Some people who wish to put in new pads, just machine the rotors and reuse them if there is enough rotor material left over and they want to save money. Turning that sprocket is necessary if you feel the rotor won’t come off because the emergency brake shoes are holding the rotor from releasing. Rust may also be a culprit. I will have to review the video to see which direction I turned the sprocket and will message back when I can tell you that specific answer. I’m not able to do it right now. Cheers.

I haven’t used it enough to try and measure but from what I read in general, solar panels reduce efficiency as they get hotter. These panels are meant to be taped down onto RV roofs and boat decks, but I still imagine as they warm, they would become slightly less efficient. The nice thing about the Jeep roof is that it naturally has ridges thereby providing gaps for air, which “may” help. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Yes, That’s an old Mac in the background upon which I have completed a lot of work in my early days.
