I first heard this band at Linkin Park's concert in Melbourne on Monday night. These guys are pretty f'in epic! Best vocals and best music I've heard in a long time.
for years I tried to remember the name of this band, until I succeed, and I enjoy it again, I hope I can feel something new from them.

I do sometimes belch out that mouldy old comment about "missing the good old days" and people sometimes look at me disparagingly and say something like "what good old days of music?"
DLC caught the back end of that wave - one of the last truly original and genuine alt rock bands in a time when sample looping and dubstep was just about to explode - i feel like they were in the right place at the wrong time and they are usually criminally underrated as a result.
Atrocious cliche or not, it _was_ a different time... back when bands still made music that moved souls instead of units. When it was about expression, not your sessions.
When the words 'harmony', 'melody' and 'timing' still meant something to people. Before all the old generation died, and everything special about all their favourite songs died with them
Before computers removed the need for you to even learn an instrument, and in turn removed the need for "soul" and "passion" in composition.

@pushoftheknife it's just your taste in music, not a higly advanced taste in music. I quite like Karnivool, Dead Letter Circus, Tool and Pendulum, but i think muse is just crap. That doens't make me have a highly advanced taste in music or an entirely crappy taste in music. Why do you think your comment doesn't have a thumbs up? Because this is a music video for Dead Letter Circus, not your own music parade.
@420Guitar420 Haha dude I love Chevelle. I think they are pretty underrated because Americans seem to write them off as just a rock band but I always found something unique and timeless in his voice and their writing style. These guys dont really compare to this band, but I think the singer in this song does some effects that Deftones uses alot. People might think thats a stretch to compare them but if you really listen to Deftons in detail, their vocal effects are similar and both effective
@sicklad90 I am American, and I agree with you mostly, but don't give up on America just yet. There are plenty of great bands in America that just don't see the light of day. Personally, a band that I was incredibly surprised were from the states is a band called Fair to Midland. If you haven't heard of them, look them up. I mean, I don't like to compare bands but if you like Karnivool and DLC, you might like these guys alot! They're actually touring with Karnivool too!
nah it's more mainstream than karnivool. It's lodged in between like mainstream rock and proggressive rock like tool which one could argue karnivool does too but they're leaning way more towards tool and less mainstream where as i think dlc leans more towards mainstream rock and less tool. Very interesting mix.
Better Paramore than Justin Beaver dude. I mean your opinion of course, lol, but I have a small ego, small enough to claim Paramore and Dead Letter Circus as good music. However, I've seen both bands live (paramore was an accident, lol) and Dead Letter Circus was sure as hell a breathtaking experience for even metalheads to stand there in awe!
@weirdsk8rman whew, they dont even come close to the technicality of AAL or evan brewer, or intronaut. thats not an opinion... technique is something you can know and hear and see. theyre GREAT, but what youre saying is wrong. if youre into AAL youre into some moderately high, technical stuff. this is like fall out boy, panic at the disco and linkin park mixed together but GOOD.

its probabl because, his "female" voice, known as falsetto, is fucking amazing imo, and thats where his strength lies. he might be awful at a heavier or lower voice. But it would be good to see him incorporate those techniques into his vocals, because it would make that great falsetto stand out even more.
@stardustie Give me a list of Finnish artist's/band's and I'll let you know. If they have quality, no worries. Just comparing 22 M to America (307M) and UK (60M) say, which produce shite, with little quality. If you are not Aussie and you found this video, it proves that we are all over the world. @grindcoremaniac yeah they came to Joliet last night. The guitarist decided the volume need to be cranked to the max and the drummer his bass. I could listen to ASL cause they fucking sounded like static when my ears were destroyed.

I have only heard this one song by dead letter circus so far, and im usualy in hatred of the majority of rock bands that are light, but its just somthing about how his singing and the rest of the band play, they just come of as nether light nor hard, they just come off as good :)
Bands like this are the reason I stopped listening to Triple this is the most banal derrivative crap I have heard in a long time. It makes me sick to think that this is the considered the best creative talent in Australia. This is BLAND!!!

I just realized I really, really don't like seeing things go backwards. There's something deeply unsettling about it. Now I'm uncomfortable and feeling very stupid about it.
Also, these guys are fucking amazing.
In his defense though, He is brilliant and did an amazing job... It was his idea to blow up the eggs and have a stick insect walk through molasses - not to mention a lot of other stuff. But the overall concept was ours.

This is the first song I ever heard by DLC. Yeah I live under a rock with no sounds what so ever.....anyway.....I was blown away instantly by this song and had to hear more. I am so in love with this band that I wonder how I went without hearing anything of theirs until now! Magical ear candy to my precious ears! I am so in love!
