It’s a crime that this band still doesn’t receive the amount of massive recognition they deserve. Been listening since their initial EP in middle school and I’m 30 now.

This was the song that sold me. Been a fan ever since, 57 yrs old here
I still love this song so much!!! Live almost 9 years ago at Tattersalls in Penrith was just as awesome!

Late comer to DLC but have quickly become totally addicted to every single song. Pure passion in every lyric, every note is absolute brilliance.
great band,singer sings the truth,music is done very well too!love em!I saw them @ Candys Apartment in sydney and they were brilliant,i chatted with them after the show,Kym(singer)was a lovely humble fellow, a breath of fresh air in a world so cold.big love to the whole band,really rockin,every release is great.
That bridge when the drums come in at 2:40 is just awesome! Sounds very Karnivool-ish...and I mean that in a GOOD way. I've been looking for more bands that have a similar vibe to Karnivool.

man this band and song is awesome too late to the party but still feels fresh and new
Really Cool song, very creative and definitely not boring. Interesting lyrics too, I like how he is singing about your life being like a cage, but he describes it as a perfect cage, not an ordinary cage. A perfect cage can be worse because it's more difficult to escape, it traps you. Simultaneously it sounds like he is saying that the real you is also outside of that cage, a huge part of being free is being yourself, which is the real you. So basically being inside the cage is totally pointless, also because if you're not yourself what's the point in living. That's why escaping the cage is the only thing that matters, everything else is vain.

Finally get to see this video...i was at the location when they were shooting this video and watched a few takes...i liked the song so much i went out and bought the album.
In Chicago, generally, we love our Rock Bands (Chevelle, Disturbed, Cold, Tool, Perfect Circle, Breaking Benjamin, Trust Company, etc) BUT I have NEVER been so more In love with these Australian Rock Bands.. They just bring a new ORIGINAL Flava to Rock such as these guys here and Karnivool, birds of tokyo, the Butterfly Effect and the Mayan Factor.. I not only tip my hat to Australia but I bow to such art work!

I met Luke, the drummer, at a Shpongle show tonight. He was standing by himself because the rest of the band didn't want to come, me and my friends came talked to him and I'm glad we did, he's a very interesting guy. Loving the sound too, love to all
His voice pulls me in every time!

Saw them in South Africa last year. One of the best live shows of 2013 for me. great muicians' band
I was fortunately introduced to these guys when I saw them live with Fair to Midland on December 4th. Not only does the lead singer look like a combination of Robert Knepper, Jim Carey, and Abraham Lincoln, but both bands where outstanding.
This song is absolutely outstanding, can't wait to see them live - whenever that may be.
This song just fills my soul angry or happy it makes me calm down and get on with life!!!!

Heard this band prob. In 5th grade ....didn't know the name just heard an awesome song shuck in my head for weeks and now again in high school it comes in a dream!!!!!!woah :O ...with lyrics and everything , had to search for hours finally found it and it was totally worth it !!! My life is now complete , I can die happy :D
i dont care for cog or Karnivool.... but Dead letter Circus are a great band still loving them after 2 yrs.

But I've listened to this song so many times now. Something magical about these lyrics. Vocals are so catchy can't help but to sing with it! (: great track!

....just listened to this song for the first time. ive payed music for 25 years and this song gave me goosebumps. You have to listen to it all the way to the end. THESE GUYS ARE COOL. if YOU like bands like A Perfect Circle and Karnivool you should listen these guys a little....

I've seen something like this before, I was at a bush doof in a state forest near the blue mountains, there's was psy-trance being played on some generator run tables and at like 5 in the morning a fog picked up, mixing with the smoke of the camp fires and it looked so much like this

Guys, one thing that really is a let down is when you try and compare bands, saying "this band sounds like this more popular one" it really does not matter. They sound like dead letter circus to me, and that is perfect.

If you ask me, Dead Letter Circus is the best Metal band in the world. Simply because they have a Metal-like sound and, unlike the genre, they don't scream into the microphone, they actually sing! xD
