This whole album is gorgeous, it will always be on my top ten albums list. When you wanna talk about criminally underrated bands, this should be at the top of everyone's list
This song is literally helping me prevent punching any holes in my wall right now of the shitty day I'm having. Shedding a few tears instead. Thanks guys.
It's a cold I can't seem to find If it breaks What would you decide? Hoping one day I'll see it through When it breaks I fit breaks We will see It's a cold I can't seem to find When it breaks I hope we survive I feel one day I'll see it through When it breaks If it breaks It will be overdue Slow down Hold on I'm waiting Here open wide What you wanted to see You decide Only one step from When it comes around in waves I feel like I'm surrounded How can I stay I'm turning away and now I can feel that here we divide Slow down Hold on I'm awake Slow down Hold on I'm waiting Slow down Hold on I'll do anything it takes to keep from falling under I swear every time it breaks I'll reach and pull us closer Anything Over and over Slow down Hold on I'm waiting Slow down Hold on I'm awake and aware of it I know that we'll survive I'm now awake in control of this There is no fear in my mind Here open wide What you want you will see You decide I believe If I could look backwards would I make amends?
I am new to Aussie, about a week in. DLC is the 3rd prog band I have discovered here. Being an old muso myself it’s great to discover such a prolific sounding band. This is their 3rd song I’ve heard and I’m looking forward to the rest of their discography! 🤘
I'm from America and started gettin into Karnivool when I saw them open for Nonpoint in 2007. I listed to this band a couple times a year and a half ago and liked them, then got on their myspace yesterday to discover this album and I am in amazement. I wish we could get some bands in our country with this kind of talent, potential, and imagination. I love the Vool and now DLC and i think they are so different from one another that there is really no need for comparison. DLC is soooo original!!
Why is it? That this type of beautiful melodic music are the most underrated sound and put as below as what media feed's us with no hard work put into them.
I believe Kim Benzie has become my new favorite vocalist. I'm sorry, Myles Kennedy, but you know you'll always be amazing in my heart. Kim Benzie just radiates that feeling of perfection.
After hearing extensively all their tracks, I have come to the conclusion that for me, this is their best track!!! And it also became my favorite track of all time!
The "Slow down" part of the song reminds me so much of mauseum by Karnivool. Haha absolutely a similarity between the two, DLC has the same raw and real sounding tone to it that karnivool, as well as an amazing singer.
@littleprogman I'm an aussie too, and I was really psyched to listen to Airborne the first time I heard of them. The first thought I had was 'This sounds exactly like AC/DC'
I just discovered this band and I'm really curious about them. I don't really listen to band with clear vocals but the mood their music is releasing makes me feel good....I might buy their album to dig them up farther.
I found this band threw another band called Digital Summer its an awesome band everybody you should take a listen. One of the band members did a drum cover to this song thats how I found it.
@keepabreasttoday Cameron Gray. His website is called Parablevisions (I think). He does a lot of artwork for Sumerian (Born of Osiris, Circle of Contempt, Dead Letter Circus). He's got some really fucking cool things on his website, go check it out!
@metaldrummer98 Exactly what i thought hey! haha same abstract shiz. As both artists are signed to 'Sumerian Records' that would explain it though i guess. Awesome art!!
In like 2010 I saw these guys live when they toured with Fair to Midland and got to hang out with them after. Still the best show I've ever seen.
This album was peak
This whole album is gorgeous, it will always be on my top ten albums list. When you wanna talk about criminally underrated bands, this should be at the top of everyone's list
agreed. went to see them live a few years ago and there was hardly anybody there. Still did a great show tho.
This
This song is literally helping me prevent punching any holes in my wall right now of the shitty day I'm having. Shedding a few tears instead. Thanks guys.
after almost 15 years it still slaps hard! Love this freaking band
How was this released 12 years ago?! It still sounds as fresh as anything. I'll never tire of this album.
It's a cold I can't seem to find
If it breaks
What would you decide?
Hoping one day I'll see it through
When it breaks
I fit breaks
We will see
It's a cold
I can't seem to find
When it breaks
I hope we survive
I feel one day I'll see it through
When it breaks
If it breaks
It will be overdue
Slow down
Hold on
I'm waiting
Here open wide
What you wanted to see
You decide
Only one step from
When it comes around in waves
I feel like I'm surrounded
How can I stay
I'm turning away and now I can feel that here we divide
Slow down
Hold on
I'm awake
Slow down
Hold on
I'm waiting
Slow down
Hold on
I'll do anything it takes to keep from falling under
I swear every time it breaks I'll reach and pull us closer
Anything
Over and over
Slow down
Hold on
I'm waiting
Slow down
Hold on
I'm awake and aware of it
I know that we'll survive
I'm now awake in control of this
There is no fear in my mind
Here open wide
What you want you will see
You decide
I believe
If I could look backwards would I make amends?
Nobody's giving the drummer enough credit here. this is actually quite a challenging song.
Wait until you see him live. It isn't possible to give him enough credit, he does all this and also sings backup vocals at the same time.
He's incredible.
He's Amazing! Truly!
We give him cred man. Bass player is nuts too
Yeah man. He's one of the best drummers I've ever seen! Love my Brisbane bands!!!!

We love our Brisbane boys! Karnivool and birds of Toyko too. We supported them all the way from the beginning. Been awake for many years 😂
Still listening to it in 2021 and as good as ever !
that song is perfection!
I saw them on Saturday with Fair to Midland. I'd never heard of Dead Letter Circus before, now but I'm glad as hell they were there. :D

They don't sell out. You don't find any talent on the radio
I believe Kim Benzie has become my new favorite vocalist. I'm sorry, Myles Kennedy, but you know you'll always be amazing in my heart. Kim Benzie just radiates that feeling of perfection.
Wow. This guy's voice is amazing
I found a some cd's in a communally used trash bin brand new still in wrap seal played the shit outa this one
This group is Amazing !!!
I am AWAKE and AWARE of this
After hearing extensively all their tracks, I have come to the conclusion that for me, this is their best track!!! And it also became my favorite track of all time!
Just recently fell across this band. Just amazing, the more I hear the more impressed I am. Really talented and well produced.
When I hear this song, I'm no longer afraid to face the unknown.
Best song on the album! Amazing!
song has been stuck in my head for days, the chorus is brilliant.

ALBUM OF THE YEAR 2010
The best answer I have ever seen to such comments so far. Respect.
The "Slow down" part of the song reminds me so much of mauseum by Karnivool. Haha absolutely a similarity between the two, DLC has the same raw and real sounding tone to it that karnivool, as well as an amazing singer.
Both Aussie progressive rock bands so makes sense they are compared a bit :)

Amazing band
I love this band, so good!
no words, just amazement.
This is exactly the type of music i fucking love. Discovering these reminds me of when I discovered Karnivool and instantly fell in love
Just an awesome, *awesome* ballad. Don't know what more I can say to justify it. If the song damn near gets you out of your chair, 'nuff said.
Goosebumps at 1:43 every time.
@littleprogman
I'm an aussie too, and I was really psyched to listen to Airborne the first time I heard of them. The first thought I had was 'This sounds exactly like AC/DC'
this is pretty good, these guys may be the second best aussie band going around at the moment behind airbourne
If you like DLC, i recommend giving Poets of the Fall and Birds of Tokyo a listen.
dead letter circus: the classical music of the "new" century
HUGE song, huge band. Dead Letter can have huge potential outside Australia if they just get a label that promoted the crap out of em!
Just found these guys.. Yes.

I just discovered this band and I'm really curious about them. I don't really listen to band with clear vocals but the mood their music is releasing makes me feel good....I might buy their album to dig them up farther.

@metaldrummer98 Exactly what i thought hey! haha same abstract shiz. As both artists are signed to 'Sumerian Records' that would explain it though i guess. Awesome art!!
