Maybe you can try Rainman Ray concept, repair BMW's. I have no idea how successful your Porsche channel is, but 100% sure there are many more people able to afford a BMW compared to Porsche where everything is 3-5 times more expensive. Your repair videos from the old days are awesome.
Hey Nathan, letting you know that you have really helped me with maintaining and repairing our e46 and e90 BMWs in the past. I enjoy watching you repair these BMW cars, even if I do not own the particular model. Hope you find a format that works for you. I personally like watching UA-cam channels take cars and "enhance" them, that would be cool here. But of course that needs the views to financially support the expenses. Good Luck.
Hi Nathan, im a fan if your videos, really helped me in the past. I need some help with my e39, im from Italy i have a 2001 520i with the M54, recently i gave it to my mechanic to change the head gasket and all the cooling systems parts and now he's done all and he says the engine won't start, he says seems like it wants to start but it won't keep it up and there are no fault codes and the fuel pressure is good, so my car is stuck with him for more than a month now and he has no idea why it's not starting🙄 also about a month ago i changed the fuel pump at home and it ran fine. If you have any idea what the problem could be?
Hey Nathan I had a question hopefully you can answer I bought a 530i 2003 67k miles and took apart the manifold and I put it back together and started the car and it’s gave me a engine safe program mode any thoughts on what it could be I turned it on again and it was fine no misfires no nothing
Was wondering if you knew or had a problem similar to this I got a 2000 E39 that I’ve owned for 23 years. I have always worked on my car and don’t let anybody touch it and lately I got the strangest problem even though I have a half a tank my dash says that the sensors one and two are OK. She shuts down at around half ov a tank and if I put a couple gallons in it it cranks back up do you think I might have a broken line inside the tank? It’s giving me code “1” saying my sensors are ok but she shuts down just a little over 1/2 tank it has me going nuts. I’m an aircraft mechanic for a major airline and I can’t find the reason why it’s shutting down. My last option would be to open up the tank. And check the lines that go from one side to the other side also, I might have the left or right fuel sender faulty, but my dash says that it’s OK
It is not uncommon for the level sender to crap out. I'd replace at least the passenger side one. It is available as an entire unit with fuel pump or separately. If you're flush, replace the left side sending unit too. Start with one of them ;)
I would still drop the subframe take the front end off either way. you basically have to do that anyways to disconnect all the motor mounts. plus you would have to take out the axles and all that shit too.
@@capturedphotonno need. I work on these cars every day. Just pull it out from the top. Rad support can stay on too. Its not that difficult. Most times when you drop the subframe you mess up the threads on the bolts or the bolts themselves get messed up. You can replace an m54 in about 4 hours
I need catted headers, cats, & sensors. Best way to privately message you? What year M5? How many miles? Any engine/exhaust related codes/errors prior to disassembly?
If you ever want to buy a 2001 525i, let me know. I have it rebuilt from front to back. Monday, I'm getting a new electric fan. I think I'm just ready for a new car without all plastic parts and having to replace them with original parts.

Hey Nathan, you ever do the motor swap on the 325xi e46?
I've one i need to put a new motor in and can't find a DIY anywhere online.
just drop the whole subframe with the motor on it. Thats what I would do disconnect the driveshaft and drop the engine with the tran and everything.
@capturedphoton I'll look into that...I don't have a lift though, wanted to pick it out using a chain fall

He blew it up on a previous video. That one was the one I was going to buy for forever. The motor ended up being bad

Time to move to platforms that don’t rip off clientele and those who make them rich.
