Poor Todd! He once said, in a video shortly after he joined, that this song ALWAYS gets him. Looks it got him again and a couple of others, as well! It is some kind of sweet! We have a permanent place at our Father's table.

I love this song, every time I hear the Gaither Vocal Band sing this featuring Wes it brings tears to my eyes, I was that prodigal at one time but so very thankful my place was still at God's table. Thank you for blessing us with your music.

No comparison between the Gaithers and all the other groups. Sad you can see it on the faces. Can’t get enough of Bill and Mark. And everyone. They have pulled this poor old 87 year old thru a pandemic that I had no hope of surviving. Thank you Gathier family. I won’t ever see you do real.....but we can’t have it all in life.

I've heard a number of G.V.B. songs now. In my very humble opinion, this showcases Wes Hamptons range of talent and ability. Amazing range and perfect cut to hear him witness with. Really quite a gift from God to Mr. H. Thanks Wes for sharing that talent with us. It is a great blessing!

WOW! God's anointing is so evident in/through this song. As I listened He broke my heart for the lost, the prodigal, the maligned, those cast aside by society. May He soften hearts as you sing this and cause us to be people of action, seeking the least and the lost!

I just recently discovered y'all singing this song. While in the drive thru at Zaxbys I told my 7 yo son about David and Jonathan...and Jonathan's lame son being invited to live at the palace with David. Then we listened to the song. What I didn't realize was the person in the drive thru was listening also. She kept the window open the whole time we were waiting. When she gave us our food she told me she really liked our music. We talked about its meaning. Praying God works in her heart. Tears spilled on the way home. Thank you for being used of God with your singing.

I grew up in Jamaica West Indies, and I have been listening to the Gaither Vocal Band all my life. You are still my favorite singers. No matter how many changes are made to the group, you guys blend like a match made in heaven. May God continue to bless you as you continue to share the message of love and hope. What happened to Todd he didn’t sing was he nit supposed to?
It's a 3-part harmony. That's how the song was composed.
The reason why Todd didn’t sing is because this song really got to him.
I don't think he normally sings on this one. If you look on older videos of this song with David Phelps and Michael English it only donr with the three highest voices in the group.
