My parents were both goth back in the 80s and I’ve talk to them about some of the things I hear and see people say and they think it’s ridiculous. I mean yes there is a certain fashion and a certain kind of music and a culture, but some of these people today are just downright snobby about it.
The elites are actually so aggressive, like chill out who cares, nobody is threatening your way of life or anything
The elitists are just so bitchy like fr, I tend to just ignore them
It's interesting that one goth girl I know just loves the style, but is very outgoing and loves 80s pop. I'm slightly envious that she's so confident in herself.

Facts. I dress quite goth, but I don't label myself as goth because I typically listen to post-hardcore/rock (more so emo music) and not gothic music. I've had these goth elitists call me a poser. Like bruh I'm not trying to be anything. I admit that I don't particularly like the music. Let me dress how I want.

i also got this sick my chem flag off of poshmark it was the tbp tour flag such an amazing find i’ve been looking for years for a nice my chem flag so poshmark is 100% another way to go
Just a note: I did a quick google for the brand of that nice long coat you had. On eBay, depending on the condition the brand (designer?) Goes for anywhere from 30 to 300 US dollars. So that coat of yours would probably fall around the 100 to 200 range. Anyway, I would like to compliment you on the amazing deal you found. That's just fantastic.

I love seeing videos like this, I agree with you that you can find things that normally wouldn't be "gothic" in popular mainstream stores, I just got a fake leather skirt from Walmart that I fell in love with. I also love going to thrift stores because you never know what beautiful jems you can find 🖤 I found a brand new killstar shirt for 5$ (canadian) and a beautiful witchy flowy maxi skirt from a thrift store and I love them to death 🖤 it's all about finding what suits you and finding the potential 🖤
Skeleton Kitty totally agree with this. It’s hard finding decent clothes let alone alt clothes when you’re petite! I’m four foot eleven and 32 years old and it is sooooo hard so diy all the way

You really can get goth clothes anywhere if you look. I buy a lot of my clothes from high street brands and mix and match them with higher end alt store clothing. Basics like black tees, leggings jeans can all be bought from the high street but pairing them with a cool belt, jewellery or even diying with studs can make them look awesome and one of a kind. I particularly like shopping for clothes just after Halloween. Many high street stores sell gothy clothes on sale super cheap then.
Always good to go for non alt brands sometimes, as even the expensive brands can have bad quality sometimes.

I'm a year and a half on from losing my husband. I'm 38, still a bit chubby, and i was thinking that I wanted to start in goth style. While I'm a guy, I think I've picked up some useful tips. Thank you.
If it's any help, I get dog hair off fabrics by using just normal rubber gloves.
Another trick is to wet your hands or tape to remove dog fur ;)
Idk if it's just me . But it's really good to go in charity shops and look at men's jumpers. I'm really small and I found a red and black zip up jumper for 10 quid and it looks like a lush coat on me :)
I've had a few Demonia shoes but it's when I've got cheap bargains on eBay, I'd probably won't buy new. I love getting basics from Primark and looking in charity shops.
I'm glad my parents used to be goth AF and alt too, cause they understand my needs now 😂😂😅
Black clothing dye is super cheap to, I like to buy things from the charity shop and just dye it back which works really well and is super cheap!

I am a def a goth on a budget myself. I am def gonna do a series myself on my channel about this very subject as well as mindfullness being a goth so upcycling etc.
I furnished nearly my whole house from gumtree freebies, freecycle and charity shops etc with a few things donated from friends, not to mention snagging a few finds at my local recycling depot.

I love the coat and the black mini skirt! The mini skirt that you were holding in your right hand and I loved the bodysuit! You never know where your going to find stuff so I look everywhere. But I do have to say that I haven't found as many things lately in second hand shops where I live that could work into a gothic aesthetic which is disappointing. But I did find a black dress with lace that could very easily be regular romantic goth or lolita-esque but it is a little too big for me. I got it anyway planning to get it altered by a fashion student at the arts and crafts school where I live. It's practice for them and I would get to have it done for cheaper
ive had 'gothic' clothing from those cheap chinese stores before, they were decent, you just gotta find the ones with the best and most reviews and if people post pictures to see how i really looks.

Camden is my favourite place in the world for shopping! Nevertheless I went there last year and I was very sad to observe that it changed a lot. It was much harder to find nice clothes than it was before.

If you *really* and *thoroughly* look in a primark you can find band t-shirts. I found Kiss and Nirvana last time I went. It wasn’t even the normal smiley face Nirvana logo it was of their album covers!
The Fifth Killjoy yes! I got a Kurt Cobain T-Shirt and a great pulp fiction T-shirt (not a band t-shirt or especially gothic but it fits my aesthetic haha)
Ahh yeah, when i first got into this style/music the clothing seemed expensive and then I saw some really cool band shirts at primark, and I think they have them very often and it makes me real happy 😩✌🏻

I wear my Salem sweater everyday since I went this past 2018! AND I JUST TYPED BAND SHIRTS TO MY FRIEND TO GO THRIFTING FOR AND THEN YOU JUST SAID IT. Wild. Xo

Yess! There are some hidden gems in stores that aren’t targeted towards goth people! I found a very nice yellow/black plaid overall dress at rue 21 and I love it!

I’m going to a death metal/ punk rock concert but wasn’t ever one to get into the pit. I just go to watch the show and love dressing up for the event. Everyone picks on me for wearing heels to such an event but I just can’t help it. I have to!
When I was 4 I put on black lipstick (horribly) and put on my dads coat. My mom told me I looked cute like that and now I am embracing it 😌

For band t shirts I go on Amazon or Wal-Mart online. If you're plus size go buy t shirts in the men's section.

In the US, we have this thing called 5 and below, but it is nowhere near as awesome. just a place I get makeup that can break you out, decent brushes, pop culture/meme clothing, random knick knacks, and childrens toys and candy. Thank you for informing, cause apparently it has a US option and a coven sista is BROKE!
Thank you for the advice to buy from everything5pounds I just got a bunch of shoes like 9 or 10 pairs and a few shirts and 2 skirts all for like $171 it was like $59 in shipping unfortunately because I live in the us so I hope in the future they make it cheaper to ship to the us.

Nothing that comes down to low (I’m flatter than paper though) nothing to short like a skirt, like can’t be above a little below mid thigh, etc. I’m very lucky in my opinion though that my parents are open-minded. I don't rate the shoes on Everything £5. I've had 2 different pairs of doc Martin style boots. Within a couple of wears, the sole had fallen off. One off each pair. After reading reviews on the site, it happens often.

Αρκετα πουλανε και στην ελλαδα αλλα ειναι ακριβα. Πχ killstar που ομως εχει μεταφορικα £20, rockndoll, devilsnightκαι σε καποια κινεζικα σαιτ εχει μερικα καλα κομματια. Για αξεσουαρ σιγουρα προτεινω το ebay γτ ειναι φθηνα και αρκετα καλη ποιοτητα απλα αργει να ερθει κανεναν μηνα. Αν το ψαξεις γενικα θα βρεις πολλα. Υπαρχει και το alienbaby που εχει την βαση του στην ελλαδα αλλα δεν εχει πολλα πραγματα.
