I've always liked how the Hunters get destroyed in the MH intros, it really gives them extra charm and lets you know right away the monsters are the true protagonists of the game.
Thats not a heavy bowgun, I got it in the game and its a light Bowgun called Quill Burst. It should give him as much movement as it shows and the aerial style makes him look faster. But the biggest lie ever is that this guy shooting explosive ammo like heck no, this weapon cant shoot that, not from what Ive seen. It can however shoot flaming rounds. (Edit: Alright maybe at a high level it could, Ill keep this comment updated on that as I level up my equipment.)
Alright so new update, Quillburst can shoot explosive rounds called "Crag" after reaching level 3 therefore this scene is possible. But this ammunition can be shot one at a time which makes the case of him shooting twice in the air a very rare scenario. Im gonna be testing how to accomplish that.

GUADALUPE MOSQUEDA Deviljho is basically every nasty thing about any monster ever rolled into the body of a very hungry T rex. But again, Brute Wyvern wins.
GUADALUPE MOSQUEDA I really did expect a Deviljho to come out of nowhere and interrupt the fight between the Hunters and the Glavenus. It would make a really good fight.
It makes me feel good to see how far monster hunter has come. I remember playing the first one in the PS2! And hours on hours playing on the PSP ones. I just wish they would seriously bring it back to console.
I love how the opening movies and extra videos stay true to the game itself. It seems like all other game videos lie to the player, making seem like the protagonists and others are just god like powerful, when really, your just gonna get creamed. In this it shows that you definitely are lesser and are no better than the monster. It's obvious theres no level up system like other games, its just about the armor, cause in real life, armor helps and there's no such thing as leveling up. Also, in the game itself, it makes it so realistic and try to what it should be, such as having a hard time getting up when you fall down, or walking slow when you've drawn a heavy weapon. I love it and it makes it challenging. Best game in my opinion.
I really like the Monster Vs Monster thing they have done. That really adds some serious class to see them actually fight like real animals (The Tiger vs Elephant parallel is just so cool X)

+Shu Sawada Have fun! I bought my first 3DS back before the XL's came out, really unsure of the purchase as TLoZ:OoT was really the only game out that I wanted at the time. Ended up being one of my favorite gaming purchases ever. I now have a N3DSXL and am still loving it just as much. So many great, charming games. The library really is fantastic. And it's only getting better. I love my PS4/Wii U also, but I love having a handheld with such a great selection of games. Wish the same could be said about the VITA. I truly have buyer's remorse after pre-ordering that. It now sits and collects dust like a $200 paperweight...

But it's definitely something I need to remember to give a go when I hit a dry patch in game releases. I just don't have any time until after Spring though. Which one would you recommend is the best to play first, though? I have quite a bit of experience with JRPGs in general and other Atlus games like Persona and some of the PS2 Shin Megami Tensei games. But this is one franchise I know nothing about other than the basics of how combat works as well as mapping out dungeons.

MH did cross-overs before. In Metal Gear Solid : Peace Walker there is a an easter egg where you can find a felyne on a tiny boat in the river as a level starts. You can ride his boat to an area where you fight a Rathalos and a Tigrex... with rocket launchers and stuff. It was pretty hilarious, check it out!
This trailer just made me want a monster hunter game where you play as a monster and fight other monsters. Capcom is pretty good at making fighting games so if they had they own the IP they could do it. Problem is fighting games don't make the money basically every other title does unless it's a mainstream fighter series like Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter.

If there was a battle between monsters, it would have been Gore Magala or Seregios. Each Flagship represents a generation and they fought against one of it's respective flagships. Gen 1 was Rathalos, Gen 2 was Tigrex, and Gen 3 was Zinogre.

you know what, i think they did know or at least their ancestors did because Gammoth are one of the "fated species" so they must have been known by some ancient tribal people of that region. It might also explain why Popo haven't gone extinct yet,maybe.
DOTO is Life Oh and also that tigrex that attacked that Gammoth in the intro most likely died. That Gammoth reared it's trunk back and it most likely crushed the Tigrex under it's weight. (An adult Gammoth is larger than an adult Duramboros!)
Gamuto is the one that doesn't take any bull. Tamamitsune is the one who would rather be left alone. Raizekusu is the one who kills for the fun of it. And Dinovaldo is the king of the jungle. I love how these four monsters have so much personality.
what impress me the most is how the intro stay true to actual game play, bushido evade and the counter swing of the great sword, aerial jump and the aerial attack of bow gun, and probably guild style hammer swing attack.

We don't know where the clash ends in the first one, Tamamitsune and Zinogre seem to be at a stalemate, what with her ability to avoid getting hit (confirmed to be female by the developers), Rathalos is still fending off Raizekusu even with the latter seemingly gaining an advantage on the ground, and Dinovaldo shows that it needs to be taken seriously for the hunters to put up a fight with it. Oh, and the first monster's name is Gamuto.
Karnera Mythos I'm still calling him Popodrome, and I interpreted it as the new things beating out the old. Besides Purple Soap Dragon, she just seems like a troll.
Tamamitsune (aka "Purple Soap Dragon") is a pacifist monster. You hunt it, and it'll fend you off. This will most definitely not be the case in gameplay.
So the King of the Sky is defeated? Rathalos should not be taken down easily. It is the first original flagship monster and, in some way, the symbol monster of Monster Hunter series after all.
Astalos has he thunder element which Rathalos is weak to. It also is resistant to fire so it puts Rathalos in an even bigger disadvantage. What's worse is that it can fly as well as Rathalos. Rathalos is no match for Astalos at all.
Gammoth: fights Tigrex, Gammoth music MIzu: fights Zinogre, Mizu music Astalos: fights Rath, Astalos music Glavenus: fights the Hunter, Hunter music plays
+Relcort it really wouldn't, consoles are more popular and used then handheld games. Half of the 3ds target audience wouldn't even bat an eye towards monster hunter since it's over complicated for them.
While that is partially a tip of the hat to the 3DS's capabilities, it's not as strenuous or console dependent as you may think. That's a pre-render cutscene that requires no movement or background coding whatsoever. You know that had to have taken months to animate at the least.
Lots of love went into these cinematics. Too bad most don't appreciate them. Like the guild style the hunters normally used then switching to the new ones to show the new features.

The glavenus fight at the end was still my favorite cinematics off all monster hunter games.
if you watch the opening for Generations Ultimate, you can see how much the hunters grew through their armor and weapons.

Deviljho doesn't have (or need) a deviant form.
If there was a battle between monsters, it would have been Gore Magala or Seregios. Each Flagship represents a generation and they fought against one of it's respective flagships. Gen 1 was Rathalos, Gen 2 was Tigrex, and Gen 3 was Zinogre.
I still think it should've been Lagi v Bubbles and Slime Fists Brachydios v Tail Sword Dinovaldo
+Justin Gonzaga Notice that each of the monsters that fight the Generations Flagship monsters get a deviant form. I forgot the name for Tigrex, Thunderprince Zinogre, Black Flame King Rathalos, and Dinovaldo gets one too.
Still, The Epic Pickle would win, he never loses to a monster. He may be infact the only monster to be able to kill Elder Dragons.

you know what, i think they did know or at least their ancestors did because Gammoth are one of the "fated species" so they must have been known by some ancient tribal people of that region. It might also explain why Popo haven't gone extinct yet,maybe.
DOTO is Life Oh and also that tigrex that attacked that Gammoth in the intro most likely died. That Gammoth reared it's trunk back and it most likely crushed the Tigrex under it's weight. (An adult Gammoth is larger than an adult Duramboros!)

Gamuto is the one that doesn't take any bull. Tamamitsune is the one who would rather be left alone. Raizekusu is the one who kills for the fun of it. And Dinovaldo is the king of the jungle. I love how these four monsters have so much personality.

what impress me the most is how the intro stay true to actual game play, bushido evade and the counter swing of the great sword, aerial jump and the aerial attack of bow gun, and probably guild style hammer swing attack.

+SW4G ST3PH4N0 Actually, I interpreted every single fight as even, at least they seem this way ambiguously. We don't know where the clash ends in the first one, Tamamitsune and Zinogre seem to be at a stalemate, what with her ability to avoid getting hit (confirmed to be female by the developers), Rathalos is still fending off Raizekusu even with the latter seemingly gaining an advantage on the ground, and Dinovaldo shows that it needs to be taken seriously for the hunters to put up a fight with it.
Oh, and the first monster's name is Gamuto.
Karnera Mythos I'm still calling him Popodrome, and I interpreted it as the new things beating out the old. Besides Purple Soap Dragon, she just seems like a troll.
Tamamitsune (aka "Purple Soap Dragon") is a pacifist monster. You hunt it, and it'll fend you off.
This will most definitely not be the case in gameplay.

So the King of the Sky is defeated? Rathalos should not be taken down easily. It is the first original flagship monster and, in some way, the symbol monster of Monster Hunter series after all.
Astalos has he thunder element which Rathalos is weak to. It also is resistant to fire so it puts Rathalos in an even bigger disadvantage. What's worse is that it can fly as well as Rathalos. Rathalos is no match for Astalos at all.
+Riolin Riolu Astalos and also charge up attacks, while Vanilla Rath can only shoot plain fireballs, with a few variations.
Ink! Sans I though only Rathian had the variation.
+Riolin Riolu Ratho basically has the same moveset, just with talon attacks instead of tail attacks, and more aerial based moves.
Ink! Sans He doesn't have Rathian's explosive fireball though.
Can't wait for XX for the Switch. It'll be my first Monster Hunter game EVER.

+Relcort it really wouldn't, consoles are more popular and used then handheld games. Half of the 3ds target audience wouldn't even bat an eye towards monster hunter since it's over complicated for them.

I didn't realize 3ds could push its graphics this far. well done nintendo.
While that is partially a tip of the hat to the 3DS's capabilities, it's not as strenuous or console dependent as you may think. That's a pre-render cutscene that requires no movement or background coding whatsoever. You know that had to have taken months to animate at the least.

Lots of love went into these cinematics. Too bad most don't appreciate them. Like the guild style the hunters normally used then switching to the new ones to show the new features.
