Loved your review! Great job with all the details My husband and I did the Havana Suite on the Mardi Gras and I have to say I loved the Balcony State room better! Now did I like the lay out chairs? Absolutely! But what I did like was how many people was walking be all the time, even when we fell asleep outside it felt weird knowing that people was watching us sleeping So for me I’d stick with the Balcony, But my husband can take it either way
Hi love your videos. I chose the cabana balcony based upon your video of the Terrazza cabana. Just returned two weeks ago and there is an attendant in the lounge area dedicated to checking and monitoring the area. It’s normally the same attendant so they recognize guests after that. I loved the cabana cabin and the perks that came with it. Will definitely choose this type of balcony again.
We just sailed on the Venezia. We had a great time, however it was probably the worst cruise we’ve been on so far. Alot of wasted space, too many kids, constant cigarette smoke everywhere and the buffet was not really good. The mdr was fabulous though. If this was our first cruise it would have been our last. But cruises are what you make of them. We had a wonderful time!!
Thank you for your thoughtful review. We loved being in the Havana area on the Horizon (we did not have a cabana, had an aft cabin). My husband spent the day in the pool and I read in the shade. The one thing I was sad to find out is that there is no pool in this area! Still looks lovely, however. We may just save our Havana dreams for the Horizon again and skip this one.
I fully appreciate your reviews. I have booked a Terrazza Cabana cabin leaving from NY in July. I hope they rectify this because I purposely spent ALL THIS EXTRA MONEY for a little privacy.
You’re lucky you have good neighbors but that will not always be the case especially sailings out of NYC . The door slammers are on every cruise even your cabin door . Thanks for your perspective.
Great video.. thanks for the information. The amenities look worthwhile but the balcony (if you can call it that) makes this a no go especially with the higher price. Knowing my neighbors wouldn’t change anything. I like to see and hear the ocean while sitting on the balcony. This isn’t a balcony but a sitting area.
You nailed it. It is not a balcony we like to use when we are on the cruise, this IS a sitting area wide open for the whole "community". And to add people getting in who did not pay extra for all these amenities, it's a no-brainier for us. We booked a regular balcony and keep our finger crossed....
@@alicewilliams7129 i hear ya there - at least with a regular balcony u KNOW no one will be walking by there or getting in where they shouldnt. we came off Horizon last september after having one of the corner afts in Havana and loved it - was considering doing one of the cabanas on this ship or Firenze but will probably stick with a regular or premium view aft but still in this section - considerably more private
Thanks for the information.Luckily I booked the first day booking opened. I paid less than I usually pay for a balcony. I am on a 15 day sailing in September, looking forward to the sea day brunch. Love your coverage of the Venezia. Thank you.
Thank you for that information. Hopefully, they are just trying to be super- accommodating to everyone on the inaugural sailing and not asking people to leave that area. I don't think that the upgrade cost is worth it for a hammock and a brunch, so I am going to definitely keep my eye on this!! Thank you again and enjoy the rest of your trip!! 😊
@@St3althMast3rPro yes. Great cruise. Terraza interior was worth the upgrade. We loved that area as it was quiet and comfortable. Def were checking wristbands.
Very informative video. Looking forward to our cruise Nov 9th for 11 days. We're in our 70's and don't need the hammock, however the lounge chair look great. Good luck on the rest of your cruise.
I would be at customer service complaining about non paying folks in the cabana area. I'd be making such a big stink about it that everyone working in that area would be enforcing it.
@@GroundedLifeCruises Is this because you got upgraded? It's like eating at a restaurant and people coming over eating off your plate. One talk with customer service should end it. "Start enforcing rules, eject anyone out without a wrist band ASAP...I don't want to come back down here". I do it with the Havana suites every cruise, talking to staff in Havana suites usually fixes it.
I would also be complaining. I am not likely to be able to afford the cabana anyway, but it is totally unfair to be paying a premium price with certain expectations of the benefits only to have anybody and everybody having excess to what should be a private spot! It's also so rude of people to go into a place they know they shouldn't be! If you don't pay for it, don't use it!
The only thing I don’t like is that people can walk by your cabin and just see your little lounge area and even into your cabin if you don’t pull the curtains closed. Especially at night if you have a light on in your cabin.
We had a Cabana on the Horizon ... BUT .... we did Not like it ... due to lack of privacy !!!!!!! We will be on the Venezia this July and got an aft balcony instead. Also... no pool like on the Vista or Horizon. I'm sure we will find pros and cons with any ship, but have stuck with Carnival.
Enjoyed your video. Thank you! I’ve wondered about that. Since this is the first time we’re going on this shipNo we’re not staying in that cabin😢 Well, not this 😊time. Thank you again.❤
I got a discounted upgrade to be on of the Terrazza cabins, since they weren't full a month before departure; do you know if the room number itself (9509, right along the "aft" end with the extended balcony) automatically comes with the access to the brunch and private deck? My price increase was surprisingly minimal for the room, but the access wasn't specifically mentioned, so I wasn't sure how it's determined. Thanks!
@@GalacticRepublicJedi I'm in a regular balcony but I am waiting for that upgrade email to move to the Terrazza Cabana. I might mess around and just pay the difference to get in there. Are you going to let me into the Terrazza if I don't get the upgrade?
Why do they tint the window there, and why don't they have walls in between those balconies? I think they may need to offer more incentives in the future to fill those rooms.
How would we know when they are having the Terrazza brunch before boarding? I booked Bonsai Teppanyaki for lunch and now I’m scared the brunch will be scheduled the same day I booked the Teppanyaki.
In my opinion the balcony is always better. There isn’t enough privacy on the terrazza room. I hate the idea that ppl can walk right past your room. The whole purpose of a balcony, to me, is so I can sit naked and watch the ocean.
Only the very high floor balconies on this ship have privacy. We can see right into Deck 6 and 7 balconies from deck 5. I think Deck 10 is fairly private.
@@GroundedLifeCruises you’re missing the point. Nobody can WALK PAST their balconies, how you just complained about ppl walking past the terrazza. Regardless of the floor on a balcony you have more privacy. You’re not looking to your left and physically seeing your neighbor.
Everything sou d's very nice, but I'm sure those extras are for Suite or balcony passengers. Some people have no respect for others. It's what they want to do.🙄
Correct! You can hear your adjacent cabin conversation, plus see you lying out. At night the walkway is open to anyone. This is same problem on Mardi Gras Havanas
would be curious to hear what u think of the cabin itself - definitely looks like an awkward shaped room and dont know how similar it is to the same on the Horizon but we felt the corner balcony was worth the awkwardness of the cabin

How much is it?
Did they fix it while you were on board/did they start enforcing that rule effectively?
