- #CarnivalVenezia is the first ship of the new "Italian" concept offered by Carnival Cruise Line. I was skeptical at first, especially with the ship/concept/port getting such mixed reviews, but when a steal of a deal popped up, I knew I had to go try it out for myself. This is my full account of that unique solo experience. In this video, I go over what I liked, what I didn't like, and give some overall thoughts about my Venezia experience! Thanks for your views/opinions. We’re heading on the Venezia to Canada in September and I’m excited! I wanted to go to Canada since I’ve only done the Caribbean for 16 cruises. I wanted to always leave out of NY and lastly I wanted to check out a new kind of ship. Carnival is starting to annoy me with all their nickel and dimming, but I’m glad dinner was good as that’s not been so great on my last few. I watched all your videos of this series, I’m just not a commenter as I watch on my TV but have to go to my phone to comment. Thanks for doing a great job!
I haven’t done Canada/New England yet, but plan to at some point. I hope you have a great cruise. No worries about watching without commenting, I also watch a lot of YT vids on my TV, so I totally get it. Thanks for taking the time for this one, and thank you so much for watching!

I've been on Venezia 3 times(including the inaugural sailing). The staff has always been great. I loved the food and I just love cruising and getting away for a while. Cruising on Venezia 4 times this year including an upcoming back to back

Oh nice! I’ll be on Carnival Jubilee out of Galveston in Nov, but definitely would be perfectly happy up there on Venezia.

I stayed at the Hudson River Hotel. It’s not the fanciest ever, but it was fine for the night, and it’s very close to Pier 88 where the ship is located.
Hello did they have an iron room on board, if not what was the alternative?
No irons or ironing boards because of fire concerns. I just bring a dewrinkle spray, and that seems to work for most things. Just make sure you hang up evening clothes as soon as your luggage is delivered. They also have laundry service on board. Some of my friends submit their fancy clothes on day one to have it ready for elegant night.
You said you went solo on this cruise. What did you do for dining? Did you get any share tables? I don't want to eat alone.

I couldn’t buy a drink and a water at the same time. It was a little surprising. I didn’t have the drink package.

The ship looks nice but the food is awful in the main dining room and the buffet. If your room is on deck 2, you can forget about getting any sleep. The galley is on deck 3, and there is 24/7 banging very loud. Don't bother playing bingo because the winner is predetermined. I guess there too lazy to use a regular ball dispense machine. My first sailing on Carnival and my last. Ship is clogged with people on scooters.
Oh wow! Sounds awful. My experience wasn’t nearly that bad, and my friends and I got quite a few casino comps/perks. Every sailing is different, I guess. I’m sorry Carnival let you down. Happy sailing.
