If the road is a smooth long straight asphalt all the way to san fiero it could be done,, but considering gta players won't take the boring road(i mean we all take the off-road down hill etc once a while) that weight should crush all the suspension and joints. If you remember the mission, the van was very slow, the Truth even explained why
i dint take the road, i took the train tracks down the hill, which is much faster only if you can keep all your 4 wheels in line with the track to go a bit faster and ignore the off roading physics coming into play

Here are the same calculations in Metric form for the people that think I did it wrong. You still get the exact same result using metric:
5:28: The Coach would be 12.2 Meters x 3.35 Meters x 2.44 Meters. The Camper would be 6.096 Meters x 2.036 Meters x 1.8075 Meters
6:47: The bottom section would be 3.0861 x 1.018 x 1.8075= 5.6785 cubic meters
7:47: a=1.549 Meters b= 1.8075 Meters h= 0.764 Meters. A = 1.281 Square meters
8:01: The top section would be 1.281 x 4.293 Meters = 5.5 cubic Meters
8:09: 5.5+5.6785= 11.178 cubic meters, which is the same as the final result of 394.75 cubic feet
8:33:
1000 Grams of weed= 3830.476 cubic cm
Van's volume is 11,178,000 cubic cm
11,178,000/3830.476= 2918.175 Bricks (Without all the rounding it would be 2918.195)
2918.195x1000= 2918195 total grams
2918195 total grams is equal to 2.918195 METRIC TONS, which is equal to 3.2167 US/SHORT TONS, the ones The Truth is referring to.
Hopefully this clears things up.

I have two comments that I think you may have missed in your calculation. 1. In many scenes you can clearly see internal areas in the mother ship and there is no weed in those areas, which would make the amount of space where he could hide the week very different. 2. The typical Volkswagen type two only weighed 1.5 tons, so if it were to carry 3 times it's normal weight it would surly not be able to drive correctly. This means the truth would have had have modified this vehicle in some way, and if he is capable of doing that I believe it is likely he has modified the engine in some way (which would make sense considering he did pull a rocket launcher out of the engine block) I just wanted to share my thoughts on this intellectual subject.

As the game is set in the US, he was using the US Imperial Ton, instead of the Metric Tonne. They're pronounced the same and are similar in value, but aren't the same weight, and as such the numbers would come out like he showed here for the Imperial Ton.

While I do appreciate the effort you put in, I do have to point out that number 2 is flawed. Sure, the van can hold 3.2 tons of weed, but A. You have to subtract the surface of the windows. I don't want cops taking a look at my weed as they pass me along the interstate. And B. Good luck moving that stuff. The suspension can't hold more than a few thousand pounds, and your talking 6400+ pounds of weed. And the engine isn't powerful enough to move the damn thing. That van wasn't designed to carry that much of anything. C. The only vehicle that I can think of that could possibly do it and not look conspicuous is an armored truck. A diesel engine, limited visibility, that thing is designed to hold millions of dollars worth of gold and other precious metals. That is not exactly light. Plus it's technically a civilian car.

What nobody is questioning, is how the mothership, which had an engine that was held together by bailing wire, and ran on old cooking oil, and not to mention that the suspension likely couldn't hold up 3 tonnes of cargo, along with the vehicle itself. Is nobody else asking how the van even got moving in the first place?

I've seen 3 tons of weed inside of a Toyota Camry, and about 4 in a dodge dually, they could have carried more but they tried their best to hide it. They put it inside panels, engine bays, speakers, headliners, all that.
I completed this mission about a week ago so it's even better to see this video
The only problem with the math (since we are splitting hairs here) is if The Truth used the entire cargo area of the van to carry 3.2 tons, you would be able to see it in the windows. In all of the images, you can see completely through the van windows and out the other side, meaning he only used the lower section.
Also, again splitting hairs, in the clip inside the barn, you can see the rear seats are still in the van, which would lessen the cargo area some more...

In theory its, its plausible... if the car stays parked. There is no way a car/van could carry that amount of weight. I'm no scientist, but I'm pretty sure the cars suspensions would lower so much that the van would slam the ground and break the suspension. You were doing so much math and calculation that you missed this crucial point in your theory.

I know it's been almost four years but at 4:40 the camper's real life example is not the T2 but the T1. The T2 doesn't have a split windscreen and multiple small windows on the sides. The T2 has neither of these.
